I empathize with people who are missing some of the remaining D&D trappings that are being phased out.

I switched over from 5th Edition and a lot of that D&D DNA, that identity is important to me. I feel a similar since of loss that some of that stuff might not be in the core rulebook anymore.

But I also know I can just re-insert it to my campaign, the old books and stats aren't going anywhere and they're fully compatible. Things like Drow and such always felt setting specific to me anyway. (KP's Midgard is my favorite setting and has no Drow.) The changes so far don't feel like a meaningful divergence. Pathfinder still 'feels like D&D' to me.

Things like Beholders and Mind Flayers? Well they were missing from Pathfinder from the get go, but I did homebrew stats for some of my favorite creatures like the Displacer Beast and the Spectator, and found stats others made for Beholders and Mind Flayers online.

I personally didn't want the remaster, so its hard to be excited for it, but I'm making the best of it, and I plan to buy the new books. Coming from 5e's background, the amount of resources already available for 2e feels like a feast, so I'm quite satisfied.

My initial reaction was similar. The wording felt a little clumsy.

But it functions exactly the same and seems like it will be the same amount of book keeping. (Check a box vs change a number.) So I got over it.

In my opinion, we'll get used to it after using it for awhile once we start playing. After all the whole ability score thing was confusing to me as a new player but I got used to it with time. I reckon the same here.

Its a Middle-Grade/Young Adult series - but the Adventurer's Guild by Zack Clark and Nick Eliopulos fits perfectly. Its great for a bit of light, less stressful reading.

No specific brand tie-ins, but the world building is so obviously built off D&D DNA. Interesting world too, a mixture of Attack on Titan and the West Marches.

I play in two 5e games. I started with 5e and I've been playing it since it released in 2014 (coincidentally my freshman year of college.) Both of my current campaigns are going to 20, with one nearly over at Level 19 and the other at Level 10.

I've been super on board with PF2, but its been a bit of a battle to convince my players to switch. With one campaign nearly finished I'm finally poised to actually start PF2.

I still like aspects of the system, but I'm pretty much done with it. Its issues are well documented at this point and wizards seem dedicated to publishing the most half-assed books at their most whole-assed prices.

When the Level 19 campaign ends I think I'll be able to salvage some of those guys for some PF2. The Level 10 campaign is kinda burnt on d20 in general and each of us there has some other RPG they want to pitch.

I dunno if it helps but I once played a Tiefling Sorcerer who was the son of a Rakshasa. His fiendish physical traits were Yellow Slit Pupils (think Witcher), Extraordinarily Sharp Teeth, and Long Wicked Claws. He wore a Keffiyeh and goggles in populated areas to make these aspects less noticeable. (I am also now aware that tigers do not have slit pupils and also I missed the backwards hands opportunity.)

This is fantastic news! Thank you so much for your amazing dedication to your customers.

It's not possible to add the missing feat back into the book then?
