She ducked and dodged, lucky the undead missed her. She swung her falcata again at the red armor.

The swashbuckler made an effort to try to dodge the next attack from the blue tinged undead.

Encara had somehow thinned the crowd, so Richelle quickly moved ahead, double moving toward the red undead.

”The chandlery you say? We didn’t break in. If Neffery would feel like speaking up, he let us in to conduct our investigation. We did put the guard to sleep, but he will have no lasting effects. We found evidence in your safe that you took control of it and used it to bribe the naval officers. What do you have to say about that?”

”Vernisant is clearly an evildoer. We have proof! The stability of the town would be better served by removing this sponsor of pirates,” Richelle exclaims, not sure how else to convince the magistrate.

Assuming the the Magistrate is alone and out of earshot of various passers by, Richelle jumps right into things. ”We have evidence of the noble Vernisaunt conspiring to commit piracy and smuggling right here in our town. We have evidence in the form of journals, and we have one of the pirates in custody who will testify against him,” Rochelle says, handing over the evidence for review.

Richelle immediately moves to the safe, looking to enter the code they’d been given. ”Remember, we have to clean up the mess before we leave. No undue damage, Remember,” she whispers to the others.

Richelle moves to the desk, looking closely for anything the group could use against their pompous enemy.

”Is anyone trained to pick a lock? He told us not to do much damage to the building if at all possible. But if we can’t pick it, we are going to have to bash our way in, unless someone has another idea?”

With the window open, Richelle moves to the guard drawing her blade, and tries to strike at him with the haft, not killing him.

Richelle will wait for a while, hoping the man will have to answer nature’s call, giving her a clear path if that doesn’t happen, she will move to the window after two hours and try to open it, after drinking her potion of cat’s grace.

Richelle volunteers for the mission. She removes her chain shirt to help with being sneaky and talks to the group about the plan. She wants to have them gather at the closest door/window so she can easily open it and let them in under the cover of darkness.

Does anyone have a decent stealth skill? I guess, I could be the ‘hider’ as I’ve got a good Dex, but if anyone else wants to go instead, let me know.

I was hoping there would be some large crates lying around the place, that a few of us could climb into around closing time. Or maybe just one of us, the most stealthy one, who could then easily open a door or window to let the rest of us sneak in...anything like that available in the store? Or perhaps a large canvas or burlap fabric a person could hide under?

”The ledger. That’s good to know. Could you let us hide in here so we don’t have to break in? Hiding would be much less messy than getting in here under shadow of night.”

”Could you have that orc take a night off tonight? And what is the combination for your safe? Don’t worry, we will keep your business intact. No smashing things and no fiery spells!”

”Cincia sent us here. She said that you shared the same feelings about Varnisant that we do. The thing is, we are here to prove his wrongdoings to help Taldor. If you could help in any way, we’d be greatly appreciative.”

”Don’t even worry about it. We like to show up as a bit of a surprise,” Richelle says with a wink. ”I’m sure he appreciates your service.”. Richelle was ready to leave the area until morning.

”Well, tell Neffery we will be back first thing in the morning. We will see him at 7:30!”

”Our group believes that we might have a common enemy. Maybe enemy is too strong a word, but I am hopeful that our interests are combined, if nothing else. Do you know when he usually comes in? I realize we are past a decent hour, but we ran here in haste...”

Richelle follows closely behind Carax, smiling sweetly at the orc.

”Looks like this place is shut down for the night. Want to see if Ademire is in the front office? If not, we might have to come back tomorrow during regular business hours.”

”Let’s go to the navy supplier! I bet the magistrate will be in bed at this hour.”

Does the helmet look like something that came from the museum we just visited? If so, we’ll need to present that as a piece of evidence as well, I think.

”You will be spared if you testify. Unfortunately we have more work to do, so we need to leave you with the guards,” Richelle explains to the captive.

”Who was financing and passing out the information to your group? No offense, but there is clearly someone above you,” Richelle asks the captive.

”I suppose we have to trust them. This testimony could help our goal,” Richelle says, careful to not reveal details out amongst others.

Richelle has Encara use her wand to completely heal her wounds. Her eyes go to the magical armor, however. ”Can anyone tell me what that armor is able to do? After that battle, better armor might do me good.”

She starts listening to the woman. ”Why were you dismissed from the navy? Who was your fence?”

Richelle takes cover behind one of the crates, not having any way to get to the remaining enemies. She hoped the city guard might be coming soon.

Who is the red opponent in the center of the boat? Is he down?

Richelle moved to the blind archer and tries to pierce him with her blade.

Richelle, not clever enough to take cover, makes her move for the archer.

In difficult terrain, I think it would take me a double move to get to the archer. Please let me know if I’m wrong and if someone would please move me up to him/her.

Now, while the beast was distracted, Richelle again tried to strike it.
