"You say that rain comes nearly every day here?" he asks "I am used to heavy rains during the Autumn; is this much rain common in these lands year round?" he continues, curious about the frequent rain and wishing to learn more of the land he is traveling in.

"It is a strange happenstance. The rains began to fall each day from the moment the Kaava Cutter, with the second wave of colonists, was spotted off the coastline. It appears you brought the rains with you, Thorongil. In earnest, it is uncommon and should be investigated." The Northman hadn't introduced himself by name, however she had heard Nooria speak of him and Letswalo by name since they had become acquainted. Reyha had to cast eyes upward, for Thorongil was tall and most certainly taller than her. (Reyha is 5'9", slightly taller than Nooria and taller than most of the human women of Pridon's Hearth.)

"We are to travel north to aid the family of the Sheriff. You seem well-versed in the terrain near to us; including knowledge about the lizard folk."

"Would you care for an escort to your home as we begin our journey?" he asks, curious to learn more about her.

Such fine manners, she mused silently. She gave the man a bright smile and shook her head, making the jewellery at her ears and throat tinkle again. "Thank you for asking, but my cottage is situated within the walls of Pridon's Hearth - near the northwest wall, on the same road as Heri Lightsteps's store. (She is 2 blocks to the left of Stone Hall, your current residence.) You have business to attend to so I do not wish to hold you up any longer. I bid you well on your journey and we shall meet again," the violet eyes lingered on Thorongil a few moments before looking across at Nooria and Letswalo. Smiling at the trio, Reyha lifted her hand in farewell and pulled at Jino's lead rope with the other hand, "Come on, Jino-boy. We still have work to do," and began making her way down the muddy road toward her end of town.

(If you guys are ready, you may get started for the plantation.)

Reyha's violet gaze settled on the dark-skinned Letswalo as he extended his gratitude and introduced himself. She smiled and gave a polite nod of her head; her jewellery tinkling prettily from the small movement.

"I am formerly of Korvosa. Welcome, Letswalo. As to the lizardfolk, I have heard of them and it seems we had trouble with some by the barriers last eve. Fortunately, I have not crossed paths with their raiding parties in my sojourns into the jungle. I would counsel you to be careful as you wander outside the walls of the colony for you are new to this region. Our jungles have their own dangers and it is not wise to travel through them at night. The Song'o give little trouble, I've found, but be warned they do not like strangers overly much for they keep to their own kind."

Jino's head nudged/butted Nooria's leg as if reminding the woman that she had not greeted him. "I see you want some attention, Jino-boy. Leave Nooria be now. I'll give you a carrot once we return to the cottage."

Settling her violet gaze on the beautiful Aasimar, Reyha answered her question, "I am well, my friend. Glad to see the town survived last eve's wild storm. Although it looks like rain will fall again in an hour or two. Which reminds me," rifling through one of the sacks attached to the donkey, she pulled three packages out and handed one to each of the trio, "The Halflings of Stone Hall bid me give these to you, with their thanks. They are leather ponchos. It'll help when you're moving about the rain - least you will not be left wholly sodden."

(Poncho, worth 5 sp, weight 2 lbs, This circle of water-resistant fabric (leather) has a hooded opening in the center, making it easy to slip it on or off and protecting your entire body from rain. Please add it to your respective gear list.)

"Also, they have sent this tent for your use," gesturing to the tent tied across the donkey's saddle. "You have protected us since your arrival; it's a little something to protect you from the elements as you move outside of town. We do see a bit of rain for half the day on any given day. If our strong Northman friend here would like to take it from the saddle, I'd be most grateful."

(Large tent, worth 30gp, weight 40 lbs. A large tent holds four creatures and takes 45 minutes to assemble. Your own pack mule/donkey can carry this as you make your trek on foot.)

Current date: Fireday, 21st day of Arodus. The time in game is now noon. If you mean to walk to Jheri's plantation, it will take you eight hours, which means you'll arrive by 8 pm if you leave very soon and don't stop/tarry along the way. The rain/drizzle will begin falling around 2 pm and will last until the next morning. The road/paths will become muddy/muddier. As soon as you're done speaking with Reyha, you can set out from Pridon's Hearth. Good luck!
