The title is probably clear enough, but i'll make some examples:
1) flat bonuses: strenght modifier, power attack bonus, smite evil... will they be multiplied?
2) precision damage like a sneak attack: multiply or not?
3) extra dice from weapon special abilities: bane, flaming... multiply? No multiply?
4) extra dice from other items' special abilities: rhino hide, mammoth hide... Yes or no?
6) Do you have some other interesting example i could be missing?
Thanks
Nice idea, but it doesn't fit the background... Moreover i see both the summ and the swashbuckler as no-multiclass classes hahaha
Thank you anyway
Well, the archetype is decided (background reasons) but the hammer idea is nice... I could actually try to sunder some armors, even with a 16 base str it should be doable with bull strenght, enlarge person and other bonuses
Yep, i think the same about Power attack. Combat reflexes and improved spell sharing are both great advices guys, thank you both: i'LL include them both in the build. I was wondering if i should buy a spell storing weapon aswell: maybe with the help of the wizard i could use it to debuff an enemy with an AoO while he's charging the most fragile party members
Hello guys, i'm going to play a summoner and i want him to be a second line for the party: think to him like a backup plan. I'll focus his spell list on support spells only and i'd like to protect the wizard and the crossbowman in case the evil guys reach them ignoring the frontline (paladin, ranger, eidolon). The problem is i don't know how to make him decent: he doesn't have to be good, but i'd like him to help the party in close combat if band only when necessary, even if in a slight way. I'LL start at lv8 with a half elf wild caller, for background reasons. Part of the starting money will buy toys for the eidolon. I know that making a melee summ isn't the best idea but i'd like it and i'd appreciate your help since i don't know how to justify his spear hahaha
Hey guys, quick question regarding wild shape:
when you wild shape you only get the bonus written in the spell description or you gain the str/dex/con values of the animal you morph into and then apply the bonus?
I mean, if i build a druid with str = 8 and then morph into an elephant would i have 14 str (8 base druid str + 6 for huge animal wild shape) or 36 (30 for base elephant str + 6 for huge animal wild shape)?
is there a way to use the amount of hit dices instead of the attack bonus?
sadly i can't use the magus, and this is a non-aligned game so clerics and oracles are quite disadvantaged. I tried the inquisitor oncwe, but i don't liked it very much...
i'd prefer not to play a full caster class because if i do it the party is too "fragile", expecially with a master like the ours
i'm going to start a game with 3 other players: one of them uses a warrior with a two handed weapon, one is a witch who heals and fights with magic and the other is a rogue or a ninja, i can't remember at the moment...
i don't know what class should I choose: I think that the better thing for the party would be taking another melee fighter, but i don't want another warrior. Maybe the barbarian could be nice, but the warrior uses a two handed weapon, so we would be too similar in my opinion. Any advices?
can anyone tell me some good feats for a general biped eidolon?
i don't have my sheet here (the DM preferes to take care of them) but i have a huge biped eidolon based on claws and to butcher with them, and it's quite strong... the others are strong too, but they decided to kill my pet. I know they'll not kill me because of the story (i'm the only one who knows how to kill the enemy), but they don't like my eidolon...
Hello guys!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the summoner class: it's beautyful. The problem is that it's too strong :(
I casually discovered that the other players want to kill my Eidolon partially because of the story, but for the most part because they think i'm too strong (what can i do if the master doesn't use my weaknesses?!..)
they're going to use Dimensional Anchor on my pet and then they want to kill him, and they think that in this way my eidolon cannot come back to his plan, and he'll die. Are they right?
if they want to kill me it's ok, they can try, but i want a correct fighting (where i'll win), not this kind of deception! I hope that their strategy doesn't work, but i don't know... help me, please!
we already started our campaign, and we're to the 6th level. Our DM preferes to take care of our sheets, so i don't remember the build perfectly...
but i think i did it right, because i spent a lot of time on this character before starting the campaign. I didn't know this forum, and now i think i will use it very often because it's the best way to have right advices. It was my only doubt, because i didn't find a clear explanation anywhere else, but now i'm really ready to be the worst nightmare of my enemies :D
(sorry for my awful english lol)
i know :)
but it's still the best character... and the most WONDERFUL class in my opinion ^^
thank you!!
i didn't understand this because italian translation is not so good, and i'm not very good with english, so i thought that the eidolon can have only an attack in each round... ok, now i've got probably the best character in the campaign o.o
i have a question: is there a way to get more attacks in a round? I think that the low BAB is enough disadvantageous, so why can't an eidolon have more attacks than one for each round? Can an eidolon use more of his natural weapons in a full round attack?
