I guess you're right, my goblin counterpart. You can only apply the chronicle to a lvl 1, though. If this character is actually playing in a pbp scenario, then it'll get the chronicle once he's done playing it, assuming he's still alive and lvl 1. :) That's what I think.

During the surprise round, we're allowed only a partial action. So, a standard or a move. And you can't charge if you don't attack right after, so it was just a move. Reta's round 1 action will be to attack the spider, though. :)
