Before he can respond to Burgen the apparition appears out of thin air.

Rego stands his ground, "These spirits must be put to rest".

First he casts Protection from Evil upon himself.

Then Rego splits into two separate images! Move Action, Copycat. The second, begins to flank the apparition.

Rego is staying put in the doorway eyeing the Furnace.

He shrugs at Burgen, "Well... it's not my axe.

Did we hear anything at all about rumors of a Furnace being used in any way based on our research so far?" Rego asks the group as he recalls nothing about it.

He shakes his head at Ingrid, "I do not know but if the coop was any indicator, that would not be the end of this Haunt..." He holds the axe up considering whether to launch it once more at the furnace.

"Good and Evil... Tell me, when you use spells upon me what do you see? Dark energy heals me and positive energy harms me. Yet, I stand on the side of the weak and downtrodden, despite the disdain most have for me due to what I am. What I am was forced upon me by chance not by choice.

I cannot believe that good and evil are all encompassing all living beings live in a grey zone between. All have good and evil within, it is the force we feed that determines whether we act for something more than our own selfish desires. A man can be a Bandit for greed or to feed his family, one is morally repugnant, well to some, the other the choice of someone in desperate times.

Killing someone removes any chance they have to be redeemed.

Regardless, this discussion gets us nowhere. I agree we should go but these items needs come with us.

I will bear the burden of whatever curse may befall those that touch them, perhaps my gauntlets will protect me".

Rego gathers all the items, carrying those he cannot fit in his backpack.

As the group approaches the door Rego shakes his head, "If we cannot pick the lock any chance we could simply knock it down?"

Looking around the room he seeks a place to set up his grapple for a climb down into the hole.

"I'll set up my rope and grappling hook while the rest of you search the place, if you run into trouble call out, if I see anything down there I'll do likewise. If something is down there, I don't want that creeping up one us, we've got the advantage of the high ground, let's not abandon it. Course, I'll not drop the rope down till you all arrive back here once more".

Rego nods to Quinn, "Fine for me as far as the split of treasure. All else you can decide among yourselves. The scrolls of course are there for those who need them, not for me personally". He grins as he pulls the rope back up and starts knotting it into the grappling hook.

Rego stands 5’8” tall and weighs approximately 175 lbs., he wears a full faced helmet and gloves to go with his Breastplate armor, around his neck is a holy symbol of Sivanah.

I am good to go to the Prison, Kendra vouching for Mathias is good enough for Rego.

"Our target is elusive to be sure and perceptive. Perhaps we need to situate ourselves on higher ground? In trees near the memorial and on top of a building near the Sheriff's office with a rope for ease of egress. Perhaps off of the ground we will not so easily be spotted.

Then, instead of encountering this vandal we can simply follow them to wherever they hide thereafter?

This way, splitting our forces will lead to less chance of one of us being injured or slain. We can not take care of the Will of the Professor or protect Kendra if we are not alive to do so".

Rego sees the knife streak but right at him!

"No!" he screams and strikes at the knife with his mace right before it embeds itself in his leg.

Burgen sees Rego strike himself!

Damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

The Dhampir strikes himself in the leg so hard, the pain causes him to black out and he slumps to the floor of the coop.

Currently at -3 HP. Well, he's not confused anymore!

Playing in 20+ games and running 26 (soon to be 27) is time consuming. Outside of the boards I have a fairly busy work schedule and of course a life!

Often I find that if I fall behind in updates, I need to make time to simply update a Discussion Thread to inform the PCs of a particular game that I am either going to be posting later in the day or week or will be on a break form the boards for one reason or another.

To save time updating so many damn threads I am going to open this thread and link all of my DM aliases (and PC aliases) to this thread to inform people as to my status. So if I am missing for a time, just go ahead and click on the link in my Avatar and you will be able to ascertain my board status.

My sincerest apologies if this is a bit of an inconvenience where you are waiting on me for an action but posting "I will be away for the next 3 days" 47 times (or more) is just not working for me any longer. Thank you for your understanding!

His focus remains clear though, that knife must be neutralized!

Rego draws his Mace and releases it right at the flying knife.

But the Mace bashes the wall unable to keep up with the quick flying knife.
