Due to some confusion about CORE and one player accidentally double booking their PC, I have 2 available spots for my CORE Gameday VI run of the Segang Expedition.

You can sign up here (link).

'Abdi, eh? Think I knew an Abdi once..." The halfling's eyes glaze over as he thinks about something else. As more agents sign up he snaps back to reality and looks them over.

"Valon, Amaron, thanks for signing up. Sheets almost full! I might get out of here by lunch time!" The young man points at Adbi and Irini. "Those two signed up as well, you might want to say hello. There's a good chance most of you will be working with each others. Always good to know your fellow travelers before the mission."

This is a Classic Game.

The halfling looks up as Irini adds her name to the sign-up sheet, the first to do so.

He frowns. "You're the only name on here so far. I don't suppose you have any friends? I have to sit here until I get enough signatures, but I have things to do, you know? Who wants to just sit here waiting all day!"

Thanks for looking Valon over, Irini.
Valon your sheet looks good so far.
Fuzzfoot, that's fine. So far no lottery needed, if I do need to run a lottery I can delay until Thursday if you're selected.

"Hello? Um, does anyone here need their Confirmation? Anyone at all? Master Xynen is looking forward to Confirming a new new agents over the next couple weeks, if you are interested, I've got a sign up sheet right here (link)!"

Non-gameday Confirmation table is open for applications, I intend to have this done before the gameday starts so please be committed to a solid posting rate. New Players prefered.

"Um...um..excuse me! Hello! I-if I could have your attention please, Master Xynen is looking for any new recruits to the Society interested in applying to become Confirmed Field Agents. All interested please see me and add your name to the sign up sheet. I- I will be availbe to answer any questions you might have!"

Done with his speech the blonde halfling steps down from the table he'd been standing on, and sits quietly in his booth, waiting for anyone wandering the lodge to sign up. Every few minutes or so he repeats his speech, trying to attract as many new comers as he can so he can complete his task as soon as possible.

Alright, I am looking for at least 5, and no more the 6 players to join me on a quick run of The Confirmation scenario.
My goal is to have this finished before the Gameday, so please make sure you can commit to frequent posting before you sign up for this game. I will be reserving at least two seats for any new players (either new to PvP, or new to PFS), every other seat will be selected Tuesday evening, EST.
Preference will be given to anyone with a strong role play background or those that roleplay here in the recruitment thread with their fellow applicants.

Once again the shy blonde halfling comes running back in, and with a deep breath, addresses the room as quickly as he can.

"It seems I have forgotten some business I was to attend to last time I was here. Master Xynen would like the following Pathfinders to report to his office to discuss matters of an expedition into the Segang Jungle.

Iago Dalamitri
Gardol
Groosalugg
Xavier Grayson Flaxseed
Lynn Kuro
Farlen Mizzul.

Please check in at your leisure, departure is still a couple months away." His business finally concluded he dashes away until his master requires further use of him.

Upaynao
Otha
Fromper
CanisDirus
Azil
Wydroe
You may all check in HERE for the CORE run of Segang Expedition to be run for Gameday VI.

The reluctant halfling returns to the lodge and reads over the sign-ups for the request he posted a few days ago.

"Looks like we have enough!" He says excitedly before turning to the lounging pathfinders and raising his voice.

"Will the following Pathfinders Please Report to me at their earliest convenience:
Emilia Cosovei
Nya
Lukian
Phil Regel
Scipio Massimo
Eveleth."

His work done, he rushes from the lodge, and waits for the pathfinders to report.

That is to say the following Players can report to my Gameplay and Discussion Threads HERE for my Gameday VI run of The Consortium Compact (CORE).

Faelyn
Zin Z'arin
Jason Rodarte
TheSuperDodo
lucklesshero
Wrong John Silver

The doors to the lounge swings open as a young halfling bard rushes forward with parchment in his hand. He smiles sheepishly at the collected group of pathfinders before focusing on paper in front of him as he reads.

"Attention all newly minted Pathfinders! Master Xynen has need of some fresh recruits to handle a very important mission to thwart the Consortiums presence in Diobel. Any and all able bodied Pathifnders wanting to prove their mettle to the society may sign their names at the bottom of this document! Master Xynen looks forward to your continued commitment to the Society!"

Pinning the notice to the board, the halfling smiles again as his cheeks turn red, then rushes from the room.

This is a PbP Gameday Recruitment for the Consortium Compact (Core Campaign Only) starting August 25th. This is an Evergreen Scenario.

Thank You Everyone!

It goes without saying that the selection process is never easy. There were a number of quality submissions but in the end I could only choose two.

I'd like to welcome Kalem Riker and Brask Ulbreaker into the campaign.

As for everyone that did not make it, thank you once again for the time and effort you put into building your PC's and I wish you all luck in your future recruitment. When the time comes that I eventually choose to run another AP or Module, I will absolutely be referencing this thread for invitations, in the mean time, perhaps we'll meet up in another gameplay thread somewhere. I sure hope so.

Submission Deadline is March 3, 6 p.m. EST

I will then go over all of the submissions again, so anyone that has expressed interest but has yet to submit has about a day to finalize their submissions and get everything in order. Final selections will be made sometime Friday during the day and I plan to have the first gameplay post up by that evening.

Thank you all for your consideration and your time. The selection process is never easy for the GM's or the Players and this time will be no different, but I am genuinely thankful for everyone's interest. Please feel free to continue the roleplay up until the selections are announced.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Giuseppe feel free to apply! I'm not bothered by the idea of you being in another Hell's Rebel's as long as you're confident that, if chosen, you can separate between player and PC knowledge.

Belladonna I think an eye color change is a harmless enough use for Prestidigitation.

Anyone worried about Alias Bloat. I 100% understand, feel free to roleplay on an established profile as Jesse has, or if you'd like you can point me toward some examples of roleplay that you feel best exhibit your skills.

Everyone - Don't forget to include Background Skills in your crunch, if you can label which ones are background and which are your standard skill points I'd appreciate it.

Laria comes by with drinks and starts handing out everyone's orders. As she does, she slaps Talion on the shoulder playfully. "This is a coffee house! Not some rowdy pub where you can shout your orders at me! You're just lucky I always keep a little brandy around." She winks as she pours some in his cup from her own flask then shakes her head looking at the rest.

"I don't know what's worse, all this dour talk or you," she points to Femi and Elias, "insulting my performer, you know he has ears right?" She finishes up handing out the drinks and nods appreciatively to Brask, "Thank you for keeping your manners hun, yours is on the house, don't mind the rest of this rabble, it seems I can't get any decent customers today!"

She takes up her position at the counter and decides to join in on the conversation despite her criticism. "Aren't you worried the Thrunes will retaliate to a protest? They aren't exactly known for their patience or reputable behavior." She looks nervously at her required portrait of Queen Abrogail, as though she's worried it can hear her.

A lot of the concepts look good so far.

Fabian feel free to craft a character using that concept and I will consider it, I trust all my players to be able to act on character vs player knowledge so if you are selected for this run I don't think that would be an issue.

Talion are you a Kintargan native? How did you escape prosecution after the mass murder? Are you on the lam or have you successfully avoided suspicion?

Beorn What is your reason for protest? And which officer position are you considering?

Darian how have you managed to maintain your outlawed faith without compromising your morals? Similarly how have you escaped capture?

I will likely have more questions as the week goes on and I have a little more time to comb over everyone's crunch a little more

Laria looks up as Femi questions her about the lutist and she shrugs.
"Well, he's not the best musician we've ever had work here, but he might be one of the cutest!" Her laughter seems genuine as she hands out a number of ordered drinks, using a step stool to reach the counter. Many places were not built for halflings and the Coffee House was no exception, despite being owned by one. "If there is a music to conspiracy, I imagine it's a bit darker than the lute can perform."

She turns from the tattoed varisian as her new customers enter, stopping only long enough to send one of her waiters to grab some stew from the kitchen. When Edgerson leans over and whispers, she answers at a regular volume, not caring if she's heard.

"How can I tell they're conspirators? They're a bunch of regulars who sit and mumble to themselves at every bit of news that comes through my door. I'd bet you my whole establishment that half the rumors you hear come from that group right there by the window." She points to a ragtag group of men and women, all nursing their coffee and growing even quieter as more unknown faces pile in. She nods to the dwarf as he enters. "Thanks Talion, I am too, but I spend every morning serving the dottari so I doubt they'd let some ruffians set us on fire anyway, best coffee in Kintargo." She smiles as she hands him his black coffee and sugar before turning back to the tiefling.

"So do you want to whisper more sweet nothings in my ear or are you going to order something?"

Hello everyone! I am currently recruiting for two open party spots for a Hell's Rebels Campaign that I'd like to start roughly a week from now.
At present we have both an Arcane and Divine Spellcaster and a gunslinger. They'll be filling the roles of Spymaster (Int), Demagogue (Wis) and Strategist. Filling the gaps left by the current party set up is not strictly required for this recruitment but I know many people like to avoid too much over lap before building their PC's.

What I expect from my players
~ 1 Post a Day at Minimum: I can accommodate more posts than that, and we will likely be picking up pace after a little while but one of our players has requested a slower pace for now.

~ Read every post. Things will be missed, misinterpreted or accidentally skipped over, that's just human nature, but I expect that everyone is here to play for a good story and a good time and paying attention to your fellow party members is a pivotal part of roleplaying both at the table and in PbP. So please, read everything.

~ Voice your opinions. I am GM, not a dictator. Sometimes I may make rulings you disagree with, let me know. Sometimes I may make a mistake, let me know. This is a collaborative effort and we all want to have fun, part of that is crafting a gaming environment we can all agree on, I prefer my players to be proactive in this regard.

~ Read the Hell's Rebels Player's Guide. There are of course, other supplements you can read to craft your PC, that may add flavor, but that is not necessary, the players guide should provide significant information for this AP.

~ Have fun! That's why we're here, if at any point you feel there is something that you do not enjoy, let me know. I am a flexible person and will do what I can to accommodate the needs of the group.

If you can commit to all of the above then here are the Character Creation Guidelines:
~ 20 Pt Buy

~ Max HP 1st Level, Average +1 every subsequent level

~ Background Skills

~ 2 Traits - 1 must be from the Hell's Rebels Player's Guide, though you may re-flavor the text with my approval. A single drawback may be taken with approval from me first.
Important: Traits and Drawbacks are more than just a power boost, they represent a facet of your PC's personality. I expect all traits to be a part of who your PC is as a person, not just more numbers for your character sheet.

~ Alignment: Any non-evil.

~ Races: Core races are all available. The Player's Guide also suggests a number of other races, of these I will also accept Tieflings and Tengu (though you would really need to sell me on the Tengu).

~ Classes/Source Books: As this is (for the next few days anyway) the most recent AP, I see no reason to limit the selection all that much. Anything Paizo up to and including Occult Classes will be considered though I reserve the right to veto anything that looks like it may cause trouble. In that event you will be given an opportunity to convince me otherwise.

~ Starting Wealth: 150gp

When making your PC, please focus on personality, background, fluff, etc., before your crunch. I don't much care what your are in relation to Pathfinder as long as I know who you are in relation to Kintargo and the fight for it's freedom.

I expect to have recruitment open for about a week or so, depending on interest and quality of submissions that may change but that should be sufficient time. I'll consider a submission complete when I have received the following:
1: A detailed background - Length of the background is not important as long as it provided me with sufficient information for who your character is.
2: A completed Character Sheet in compliance with the rules listed above
3: Your Reason to Protest and which of the remaining officer spots you'd like to assume.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Roleplaying in this thread is encouraged, but not required for consideration. If you do choose to roleplay the setting is as follows:

________________________

You find yourself, for one reason or another, in the Longroad Coffee House at about midday. The normally relaxed and inviting atmosphere is instead tense and the main room is full of whispers and careful glances as the regulars size up anyone they don't recognize.

Last night a number of fires broke out in Kintargo, destroying many well known establishments and rumors have already started making their way through the streets. The most credible ones suggest that Barzillai Thrune is responsible, that they were calculated attacks, but on who and for what reason, no one is quite sure. In any case, it's obviously taken it's toll on the population.

Despite this, however, Laria, the proprietor, greets you with a smile.
"What can I get for you hun? Maybe get you something special?" She winks as she points towards back where a young man plays the lute. "You can sit over there if you'd like to be away from all the conspirators."
