His new song about noodles, though a toe-tapper, doesn't seem to be catching on.

Did Rassmussen also take damage from all the people with the lifelink before dropping it?

No. My understanding is that he can drop any and all life-links as an immediate action at any time. He dropped them right after the spells creamed him, as that would have dropped him dangerously low if the life links had been allowed to tick at the start of his actions.

Rassmussen turns to Daedin next to him and gives him a True Seeing spell.

Reflex vs Fireball: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Reflex vs Chain Lightning: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Reeling from the elemental onslaught, Rassmussen drops his Life-links as an immediate action.

He then channels positive twice, excluding the Wu sisters.

Selective Channel & Quick Channel feats

Blue still needs to save against the Silence spell.

Rassmussen moves to be closer to Kal'Ryon and casts a Silence spell on the tip of Blue Wu's nose. (Will DC 19)

Yellow needed to save against the Sanctuary spell before targeting Rassmussen, but I'll forgive him since he's about to die horribly.

Rassmussen delays until his services are needed.

Reading the description of Gomwai’s formulaic behavior, I have a slight suspicion that we’re attacking an illusion being engineered by one of the flunkies while the real Gomwai is invisibly maneuvering to clobber the healer. But maybe I’m just being paranoid. :)

Rassmussen will BLESS the party and cast SANCTUARY (Will DC 18) on himself. He rather likes the drums and sort of bop-dances in place while he waits for the opening gong to sound.

The stunning spell hits Rasmussen like a hammer to the back of the head. He staggers forward and stares at the ground moaning like a sick cow.

Perhaps being discombobulated saves him from the effects of the fear spell that hits a split second later.

Once he comes back to himself, he nods along with Daedin's guess on the order and the answer.

"Makes sense to me I suppose... though my memories don't really work that way, with me it depends what I was doing the night before, right? But I'm not entirely normal."

When the magical trap hits Rassmussen, he grabs his long greasy hair and pulls it down taut against his cheeks.

"Whoooooa... why did I come over here?..."

"Oh yeah, the riddle. A riddle in pieces. It's like a riddle wrapped up in mystery wrapped in an enigma."

Rass absorbs 5hp damage from Svetlana.

Rassmussen steps forward and channels positive energy, excluding the oni/ettin.

He seems a little embarrassed by all the cheering afterward, looking at his feet and letting his hair droop over his face.

When the next match starts, he looks the situation over...

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14

...but doesn't bother looking into the stands.

He casts an Ill Omen spell on the Ettin. Should affect his next 3 rolls

Rassmussen absorbs up to 5hp from each wounded colleague.

He reaches over and casts True Seeing on Daedin.

Rassmussen goes straight to Marthysan and looks him over.

Heal: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30

Assuming he's just unconscious because he's been beat up, Rass then casts a healing spell on him.

CLW: 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

Rassmussen moves out toward Svetlana and channels positive energy, excluding no one.

"We need to find out what they did with Marthysan." he says mournfully.

Rassmussen absorbs 5hp damage from Kal'Ryon and Svetlana.

He casts a healing spell on himself.

Cure Critical Wounds: 4d8 + 11 ⇒ (4, 6, 2, 3) + 11 = 26

"Rissa, you should surrender! Don't throw your life away! You can't win!"

He moves toward the familiar Aspis agent.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19

Will Save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22

"Oooo, trippy!" says Rassmussen approvingly as the psychedelic display goes off around him.

He then tries to stumble out of the area of the Black Tentacles...

CMB: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27

...and somehow succeeds. Even he seems surprised.

Rassmussen absorbs 5hp damage from Kal'Ryon and Svetlana via the Life-Link. He should be at -26hp overall by my count.

Gomwai is not among these Aspis creeps, correct?

Please let Rass heal. He has plenty of spells and has been entirely superfluous so far in this adventure lol

Following his checkers game with Svetlana, Rassmussen had briefly wandered off to watch an anthill. It looks like he's trying to count the ants, and trying to remember which one is which as they go in and out of the ground.

When he hears Daedin call out to him, he snaps back into the moment and hobbles over to the archer. "Sorry man, I was distracted by the glories of Nature." he says with a gleam in his eye and a little flourish of his hands up by his head, as if this explains everything as to why he was paying so little attention to the trials of his fellow Pathfinders.

He reapplies the Life-Link to Daedin, then begins to heal.

Rassmussen reapplies the Life-Link to everyone and uses the channel to top off the party. If anyone is still hurt, let me know, since Rass will be absorbing their wounds.

When Marthysan doesn't appear, the oracle quickly agrees to join the search for him. "Ummm, do we know where he was staying? Maybe we should check there first and see if he fell asleep or something?"

"I will stay with Rassmussen - I would hate for us to be caught in a locked box and find sudden treachery being sprung on us"

Rassmussen smiles sweetly when he hears that Svetlana will be staying with him and stops wandering off.

"Wanna play checkers?" he asks with almost childish excitement.

Rassmussen listens hopefully for the possibility of a Groovy Idol. When that is not forthcoming, he loses interest and wanders off.

Rassmussen seems excited by the prospect of going underwater and breathing water like a fish, and rapidly assents to the search for the dragon's lair.

"It'll be like looking for the lost city of the Azlanti!" he enthuses, then pulls out his lute.

"Way dowwwwwn beneath the ocean
Way dowwwwwn beneath the sea..."

"Whooooaa, heavyyyyy... says Rassmussen as he staggers forward.

Acrobatics: 1d20 ⇒ 16

Before the sleet storm had dropped, Rassmussen had noted the position of Daedin straight in front of him-- that was roughly his target. He hobbles forward on his club foot with his hands held out before him. If he should encounter Daedin, he'll cast Freedom of Movement on him. If not, he continues forward another 20 feet.

Rassmussen absorbs 5hp damage from Diazepane.

Kal'Ryon already has Freedom of Movement, and so should be able to move forward without a check. I don't think True Seeing will help with this concealment since it's a physical fog-like effect.

He then takes a step forward and casts Freedom of Movement on Kal'Ryon.

"I'm sure you'll make lovely flowers."

Rass smiles in spite of himself, as this is a lovely sentiment.

"What you say is the sort of nonsense that I expect from such minor creatures. The role of a ruler is to receive the loyalty, admiration and tribute from their subjects. It is their role to prosper so that they may bring more tribute to their liege.

"Fascist." mutters Rassmussen disapprovingly.

"I don't think it is in the mood to parley"

"No, he's being a total drag."

As the audience with the dragon begins, Rassmussen Blesses the party.

Largely to give us all the +1 save vs fear for once this discussion transitions to combat. :)

Rassmussen moves to Svetlana and casts Freedom of Movement on her.

"Talking to the dead seems reasonable enough to me. Is that asking too much of you Rassmussen?"

Rassmussen blinks in mild confusion. "Well... no... but I don't think he'll answer."

Alas, Rass does not have access to the Speak with Dead spell. As a spontaneous caster, he is limited to the number of spells he can know.

The oracle channels some holy healing energy to bring everyone back to full health.

"I think they thought that old guy was you." he says sadly to Marthysan. "If you'd like, I can raise one of them from the dead and you can question him." he says, almost hopefully.

"This is all such a bummer. Why do people have to be so heavy about money?"

He shakes his head wistfully, remembering how he'd dropped 50 gold coins into the cup of the two panda musicians earlier that day, and been delighted to do so.

Rassmussen absorbs 5hp of wounds from Kal'Ryon.

He then walks around the table and reaches out toward the ganzi, laying a hand over his wound and singing a little song he heard from the panda guys a little while ago.

Rassmussen moves 20 feet forward and casts a Spiritual Weapon spell.

A shining longsword of magical force appears next to the Nagaji and attacks.

Before setting out on the bracelet hunt, Rassmussen channels to fully heal the party.

Rass absorbs damage, 1hp from Daedin, 3hp from Diazepam and 5hp from Svetlana via the Life Link

Rassmussen steps forward a few feet then casts a spell of 'Silence' on the ground just in front of Svetlana.

20 foot radius burst centered on the square in front of Svetlana.

Rassmussen will cast Resist Energy (fire) on himself and offer it to any others who want it. He’ll also cast Sanctuary and Shield of Faith on himself, if there is time, then take up his position on the coals.

After the fight, Rassmussen re-applies the Life-Link to Daedin.

Marthysan approaches the group.

The paladin seems concerned. "Have you encountered anything strange lately or heard any rumors that may not have reached my ears while I have been focused on the tournament and other official business?"

"Yeah, we did actually. We met this guy who'd been pretty badly beat up by some Golden League guys who are running some betting, and he said he thought maybe these guys were working to rig some of the fights, like total fascist pigs. I didn't know how seriously to take it really. A guy who loses a lot of money and gets beat up by bookies might have an axe to grind, but from what little I've heard of the Golden League, it's not a crazy accusation."

"Svetlana said she'd heard some rumors of poison and foul play, and I gotta say, at the party after our first fight, I was really sick in the morning-- like not just hung over, right? Like, stiff and weak... I mean, I can't prove anything, but I know something about healing, right? And I think somebody might've slipped something into our drinks maybe. Fortunately for me, I don't really have to do anything but stand there and watch these guys romp through fights, so it didn't matter."

Rassmussen cancels the Life-Link but gives Deadin the benefit of a Bless spell. a Shield of Faith (+3 Deflection bonus to AC) and a Freedom of Movement spell.

If the goal is to keep the tiger up, Rassmussen might actually be a decent choice too. He can keep the animal healed and shielded and buffed, and Spiritual Weapon down the boar. Plus he has a little Handle Animal. Someone with offensive abilities would probably still be a better choice.

Plus with Ranger levels, Daedin might be better able to control his animal

Rassmussen moves to stabilize the big blinking woman, if he can.

Actually, I’m not sure the hit on Kal factored in the Mirror Image spell?

Rassmussen casts Sanctuary (Will DC 18) on himself, them moves up a rope ladder to be near the melee fighters on the platform.

Rassmussen also absorbs 5hp damage from Kal'Ryon via the Life-Link.

As Orometsue falls, Rassmussen absorbs the last 5 hp of damage from Svetlana, then gives himself a Cure Light Wounds spell…

CLW (Enhanced Cures): 1d8 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

…and heals most of the damage to himself.

Upon reaching the arena, he watches the enlarged woman activate her ring, and tries to understand the spell effect.

if this is a Blur, Displacement of Invisibilty effect…

Rassmussen casts True Seeing on Daedin, Diazepane, Svetlana and Kal’ryon, then Bless on the party, then climbs to the second platform.

True Seeing should negate Invisibility, blur and displacement effects for the viewer.

The Life-Link to Rassmussen heals Daedin 4hp and Svetlana 5hp, Rass takes 9hp damage in return.

Rassmussen casts ill omen on Orometsue.

Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Rassmussen slowly and stiffly rises to his knees on awakening, holding his head in one hand.

"Oooohhhh... wowzee wowzee woo woo.. I think my chakras are out of alignment with the moon, they feel all sorta blocked off. Anyone else get chakra-blocked last night?"

He tries to settle himself in a lotus position, but seems too stiff, and eventually just dunks his head in a bucket of cold water and burbles.
