I play a Psionic with the Vow of Poverty, which is a lot of fun - he's moving towards that one prestige class that essentially turns you into a spiritual, incorporeal force (the name escapes me), and yes, he is angling to be a saint (and it actually is in character - so shut yer mouth!) The only wish I would make game-wise is that there were more exalted feats.
Actually, I really enjoy the product news from Dragon magazine. I've certainly found and purchased some things there that I never would have come across otherwise, and often found new website to explore. The store blog here is one thing, but yeah, I have to say those product spotlight pages were extremely nice. Dang, I'm suddenly remembering all the ads that led me to new and exciting things, now that I'm thinking about it. Never thought I'd miss ads, of all things. Hm. Guess I'm going to have to get more active here.
Yeah, that's what I was saying, really, that maybe there could be a single go-to thread for conversions. A dozen different threads going all over the map made trying to keep up with FR advice in the Age of Worms a challenge. It's not so much that I can't convert on my own, but I'd hate to make assumptions about something that turns out to be so far off base as to make me do twice as much work when, say, volume 3 comes out because I took things in the (subjectively) wrong direction in volume 1. We'll see. Like I said, I might just go with the new world after all.
All right, I wasn't sure if I wanted to switch over from a Dragon subscription I renewed less than a week ago...! But, I haven't been led astray by Paizo yet, so I'm going to give it a shot (plus the idea of being a special Charter Subscriber is too cool for words). While I might very well start a new party in the new campaign world, my groups are pretty exclusive to the Realms. I just want to make sure that there will be an opportunity to do conversion notes and ideas here...I've really come to enjoy the appreciate the notes for the AoW and Savage Tide. Looking forward to seeing what Paizo can do when they're totally unleashed. |
