Becoz we are sneaker-hobos? C'mon, we've been trounced so many times, and are more or less still here...More or less. At the thought of stealth, Raidh inwardly curses her heavier metal armor, but follows Aedron's eye to see the trees that lead to the palisade. "Funny that Possum didn't mention this place.. [scans the guards locations] They might not be...terribly bad...folk. Then again, they look to be. Do you think this is an elven ruin repurposed? " she asks no-one in particular. GMID - does it look like an elven ruin?

Raidh smiles and dusts herself off, then follows Possum into the cabin. After resting her longspear in the doorway she sits to accept some stew. "We're a little....not usual... fer slavers, dontcha think? Less'n they's now frogs and hivers..." Raidh looks at her stew, and pauses before bringing spoon to lip. "Thanks a bunch fer yer hospitality Possum. Too ken call me Raidh!" "Lessee now. Well, what are we looking to avoid? Any slaver camps...or... trapped areas that are even more no go than the entire bog? How about them giants? Where do they hole up" After a further pause... "Yoo seen any ruins around? Yanno, interesting broken buildings or structures? They say elvins yoosta live round' here. Tho' I expect they be roosting in the trees!" Raidh ends with an emphatic grin, looking to her friends for confirmation of her yokel attitude.

Hey, I'm sure it is dragging for anyone posting every day and trying to maintain the pace, thread and momentum of the story. PbP's are a ... drag. I admit to being tardy and my folowing of the plot is at time hazy - much hazier than my character should be for whom this is all happening quite quickly... Don't mind me - the pace is fine and everyone else seemed fine with adding someone (ok, two and me out of 4, and I'm sure Morgtii/Ssalarn would be as concisely fine with it as the other two were) I'm just relaying some damage and likely personal bias. Then again, mebbe I should stop talking for people or tell them what to mind. :)

GM IronDesk wrote: So, I generally recruit 5 people for my games so that if one leaves we aren't crippled and can carry on without having to rerecruit. This time however, I'm considering filling that fifth spot. Would having another player who posts regularly help to get you guys more engaged in the game? I think you should replace Wolf-Eyes considering we started with 5, he is gone and the game is/has been set for a challenge for 5. My only concern is, strangely enough the tempo - I just recently had a similar experience - four players, not the fastest posting rate, game going on two years... One Player got banned from the Paizo forum (nothing to do with our game) and the GM decided to allow us to either gestalt or add a cohort AND add two new players. I chose not to gestalt (nor have I created my cohort) but the real weird thing for me has been having two new characters who are more frequent posters, so in social interactions they are quicker off the mark and more...I'm not sure...zealous? Overzealous? But I do know - it's disconcerting. Our characters have been in this game (a demiplane full of inter-fighting factions) for two years, and now these new folks are taking the lead. Not because our characters are slow to react, but because our Players are. The nature of PbP perhaps... I dunno, I just want to make sure we aren't going to be overrun by a zealous newcomer. But then again, as in that game, I guess our characters can work out how they react for themselves.... ;)

@GMID - thanks for the tracking sheets GM! Awesome. I'll finish up my feats/saves and then do some shopping. Sorry for the delay!!! Raidh blushes as 'Dolpho appears to think her the "survival" kind of gal. Truth is, her nature knowledge is mostly circumstantial and experiential, when it doesn't apply to horses. Nevertheless she pores over the items in the store, and her eyes brighten as Tarian proffers her special wares...

Raidh rubs her chin thoughtfully. "I have a few ideas. One, we need to make sure we make the most of our capabilities. I for one need a stout and sharp blade to heft. Two, some alchemist's fire or similar items might give us an edge - something to thow from a distance so we don't get flattened engaging these things up close. Thirdly, I need to visit the dressmaker's. Silion, is there one here in Erien?" Knowledge (local): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8 [for finding a dressmaker/tailor/haberdasher] GMID: Raidh is looking to purchase a large mirror, and to have a reinforced frame made for it. So I could have given Morgtii or 'Dolph (my current cast for my synergy class feature) 10 temp HP, or given either one a +2 bonus to AC, CMD, CMB, attacks or other things - all lasting 4 rounds. @GMID: Does Raidh know the zombie has DR/slashing? I'm guessing she would get the message to at least try slashing after trying piercing and bludgeoning...however, in another PbP the GM said my character wouldn't know what kind of attacks bypass the DR of a creature without a Knowledge check...

...just realised Raidh should be adding 3 damage with her longspear when wielding it two-handed. Was the zombie unfazed by Raidh's boutique piercing as in not damaged, or unfazed as in injured but minus pain receptors to react? Raidh's lips curl at the proximity of the zombie. These are my opinions: * It makes sense to me that an ally between a reach weapon and the target would provide the +4 to AC due to Cover. Though +4 seems a bit much. * I find the "firing into/reach attack into a melee with an ally participating" applying a -4 penalty to your attacks stupid, and especially without a follow up roll/effect for friendly fire/what happens when you do miss. * I'm not understanding the Concealment participle at all. How/Why does it apply? Lighting? A spell effect?

Just a small question about ranged fire and firing into melee - I've seen some suggestion that you take a penalty for firing into melee AND a penalty if one of the opponents (usually your ally) provides cover for the target. Anyone else got clarity on this? Seems unduly punitive, and would make ranged combat less than useful...

Looking at the map, I'm not sure I can reach anything from where I am...if I can't move and use the power I'll use a 5' step... Inspired by 'Dolpho's mysterious power, Raidh moves and stabs again... Move Action: Moving one to the south and two to the east, to stab the northernmost zombie that isn't adjacent to Wolf-eyes... OR 5-foot step: Move to just north of Kee-rik and stab the surrounded zombie. Swis!!!: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 [with reach]

Raidh's temp. HP won't last but a few rounds, so a channel would be welcome... Raidh leans on her spear, and breathes hard, surveying the splintered bones and the corpse of the three eyed demon dog. Just realised that as of my last post regarding my cast I chose Morgtii and 'Dolpho. So I only store 1 point of synergy from Morgtii. Also realised that Raidh is currently nowhere near her cast - if she was adjacent to either Morgtii or Dolpho they would provide her with a +1 shield bonus from her Coherence ability. Which just goes to show that Raidh either chose her cast badly based on her preferred combat-style, or chose well but then acted in a tactically sub-par manner. Which kinda amounts to the same thing...

I am trying to figure out the pricing on a quiver permanently enchanted with Abundant Ammunition. Here's my figures so far:
I'm having troubles when it comes to the concept of a "slotless" item. The quiver does not take up a discernible slot, but then, neither does the efficient quiver. Of course, it's a much better effect than the "Conserving" weapon ability which, at a +1 bump, would still cost at least 6k to add to a weapon (needing to be +1 first) Another question comes into play when dealing with the ammunition in it. The spell replaces any non-magical ammo in the container at the time of casting. To me, this means that if it was made full of adamantine arrows, it will replace those endlessly. I would THINK that this becomes a material component and therefore, for a continuous use item, the cost is 100 times the item replaced. 20 Adamantine arrows = 1200gp
