On drivethrurpg there are solo adventures, but I couldn't find any for PF2. The system might still be too new still. I have played some 5e solo games and they are generally fine as a slightly more involved choose your own adventure style game.
You could create an adventure using a hex crawl or random dungeon using tables and charts to generate rooms, events, or encounters. Also you could adapt a deck style of game for monsters. Look to Talisman (a board game) which has solo rules using a set game board as a "world" and random encounters and random treasure.

During a recent Pathfinder Society session we refused to enter an area that was obviously an ambush. After about 8 rounds of the party firing arrows and cantrips blindly into the cave, the GM said "You're not going in are you?" and we all said nope. We finally compromised and I summoned a tasty looking dog and the wolves ran out and proper combat occured. We were a pretty squishy group because of the table makeup, and none of us could take a round of surround and pound.

4 people marked this as a favorite.

I never played PF1. My group just kept playing 3.5 when 4 came out, and we never played PF1. When 5th ed came out we moved to it and enjoyed it alot. However, I am a person who loves super high fantasy settings, and PF2 caught my attention early. Grabbed the playtest at gencon and have not looked back since. I joined PF society in September after the rules went live and am loving it. I play mostly casters (wizard mostly) and sometimes rangers or fighters. My groups that are in 5th ed games are split on switching, but most are willing to try PF2 when our current campaigns end.

My favorite aspects of PF2 are the way skills are implemented and the 3 action economy.

We use roll2o on a TV in our playroom. Maps are usually either scanned from the book or made in Gimp. This is for 5th ed and pathfinder.

We use theater of the mind for all onex press games.
