I've been reading through the Rise of the Runelords anniversary book in pace with my playthrough of the scenarios in the card game and it's really been adding a lot to the experience for me. Encountering a card like "Shopkeeper's Daughter" for example, is way more fun when you know the details. :)

I realize there's only so much room to print fluff text on a card, but perhaps for the next AP Paizo could include some more story beats or character details in the rulebook or even on a pamphlet or something that's in each adventure deck box.

I think that could add a lot of enjoyment for other players who aren't willing to go through the "work" of seeking out the rest of the game's story. Maybe some people are picking this game up and don't even know there's more to it than what's in the box. *gasp*

Just an idea!

Any word on the availability of those play mats that showed up at GenCon? Still coming soon or was it a one-shot deal? I can't even find them on eBay. Obviously these aren't a "must have" thing but I'll definitely pick some up for fun to get some more art out on the table. :)

As a disclaimer, I've never played the Pathfinder RPG, but I'm really interested in getting more into the world after playing the card game. I've already looked into the Rise of the Runelords anniversary book, but I'm actually kind of overwhelmed with the sheer volume of other STUFF that's associated w/Pathfinder.

So my question is, where should I go next? The "Tales" books? Other Adventure Paths? Is there anything that's more like a broad guide to the world and major places/characters/events?

Thanks!
