A horn dog bloodrager + a disguised green hag sorcerer + a controlled fungal nymph = nearly 20 rounds of a poor decision until death by con damage...

I've put a treasure pile of gold coins in a dragons lair containing a swarm of hoard scarabs from d&d 3rd edition era Draconomicon once before.

A situation made worse when one of the players jumped into the pile to roll around in it.

Just came back to this post to realise how dumb my response read... guess its what I get after posting it around midnight without enough sleep as is.

So I'll follow up with yes deeper Darkness would protect the shadow demon mainly because the wording of the spell deeper darkness makes dim light and greater levels of darkness supernaturally dark. It's probably not the correct answer just because protective penumbra exist to specifically counter light based weakness.

Again sorry for my poorly written reply to this question earlier.

I would say yes personally but that's only because my group still runs darkness as if it was still a 3.5 spell.

Rules wise I would also say yes due to the fact that the spell mentions areas of dim light and darkness become supernaturally dark and it might make the shadow demons life a little easier before nasty murder hobos kill it for no doubt good reasons.

In the book Ultimate Magic there is a section under wizard that goes into Arcane discoveries. Basically wizard only feats you can get at certain levels.

*edit* man wow I read that wrong guess that's what I get for only just waking up :) but yeah what Jeff said after re-reading the question.

With that stat array I could see some fun had making a dragon Disciple.

Ouch sorry to hear about the possibility of a burnout. If it helps you feel any better about the situation I had my group (family members as well) burn out just before the end of curse of the crimson throne and by that I mean we had got a chapter in to book 6.

also just want to say thank you for all the hours of joy I've spent this past month reading up and catching up to the adventure journals you have written over the course of the last 2 months.

Howdy just wanted to chip in to the discussion. As far as I understand cure spells are completely usable by clerics of evil gods. Now in the sense of rp and the Pallid princess(one of my fav gods)rather then being a straight god of death she cares more about undeath, but also a god of basically having fun doing what you want and never letting the good times stop hence the gluttony in her portfolio. So it is my understanding that she won't mind a cleric healing himself so that he may live to see another day and find new indulgences.
