That's disappointing. Seems like a bit of hole in the planning maybe? On the other hand, maybe that would have made the Arcane Assailant too good?
I'm wondering if elemental damage weapon fusions allow weapons to be used with various Soldier gear boosts that interact with specific elemental gear types.

Coupling these with an advance in their hit dice is probably a good idea. I especially like that last one. You have a devious mind.

Right, that's what I was originally going to do, but I was looking for suggestions for extra spell-like abilities to give them. EDIT: Whoops, looks like I misread your post. Sorry about that. What I meant to say is that my original plan was to just give them more hit dice and some spell-like abilities.

I looked. I think you can get them without even having to spend a feat or anything like that. I'm thinking either giant centipedes or scorpions. Once the fighting moves aboveground, I'm thinking mites mounted on giant wasps. Actually, speaking of flying mounts, I know that there's a feat called "Monstrous Mount". It lists the flying mounts as having their fly speed chopped in half when bearing a rider, regardless of weight, what's up with that? And would it apply here?
Hey, my players have wound up leveling a bit faster than I anticipated, and I'm not done with the mite story line I sent them on. I was thinking of making a few different advanced hit dice versions of mites. What I'm wondering is what sorts of new spell-like abilities people think might be appropriate for a civilization of advanced mites? |
