My character is a 13th level Wizard. I just picked up Leadership and have a Leadership Score of 13, which gets me a level 9 cohort.
My ideal with Leadership was to create a Wizard apprentice; whom I would essentially use as a craft monkey while the party is out adventuring. Essentially creating my own downtime.
Now, through various DM Fiats, our whole group getting fixated on a specific NPC and my digging myself a hole... My Cohort is now that specific NPC, a level 9 rogue.
The back story of this girl is rather brief. She is part of a family trading caravan business run by her grandfather who will pass the business onto his son, and finally to the girl. She already has the background for items and trade.
So, finally; the point!
How would you go about creating a rogue cohort who is - in theory - supposed to be off-screen and crafting?
Mid-high Int and Cha for skills and UMD.
Master Craftsman, Craft Magical Arms and Armour, Craft Wonderous Items, Skill Focus Crafting?
Editz: 15 point buy, she is human. 3 traits. 7,800 gold to play with.

I recently went overboard and ordered $160 worth of dice from Paizo.
None of my dice (3 of those nice Crystal Forge metal sets, one of each larger set, actually, plus the ping pong metal d20) were immediately available, and that's okay.
What I don't think is okay is not billing me until the item is in stock. Should all 4 items arrive after I've just paid rent and circumstances for that week have depleted my funds, what happens? I mean, I've already committed to buying these things, why can't you just bill me when I click the button to order them? I prefer to know when money is taken from my account, well before it's taken.
I also don't like being charged shipping for each item - I'm Australian, postage adds up. If all 4 items (or 2 then 2, or 3 then 1) arrive in your warehouse, will I get charged for 1 round of shipping? I wish you had a button which said "Send all at once to reduce shipping."
Now, from a logistical point of view, I can understand why you can't hold some purchased stock until all of it is available - I work in a warehouse, I know space is always at a premium and it would be unreasonable. I guess we can wave that concern away as fickle fantasy; figured I'd mention it anyway.
P.S. The procedure for going through the checkout is actually kind of painful. It works, but how many times must I log in or click the same button? D:
I really like the concept of Vital Strike. Move up, thwack it as hard as you can. Cool!
A lot of posts show people are almost disdainful of the Vital Strike chain of feats, but surely there's a way to do it right.
How would one create a character who's very good at Vital Striking (though, not to the exclusion of all else)?
Do you add the Monk's BAB to the Flurry of Blows modifier, or are they separate?
I'm starting a 2nd level monk, so his BAB is +1, with +0 Flurry. When Flurrying, am I adding BaB + Flurry + Str, or does the Flurry overwrite the BAB?
Confuse!
I can't find a rule for yay or nay. Can you apply the Permanency spell to a Metamagiced spell?
Example being a Widened, Maximised Wall of Fire.
A few questions relating to something that came up in my game today.
Situation 1:
I cast Suffocation on a Human with full hitpoints. Human fails his save and begins to suffocate. On his turn, he drops to 0 and is unconscious. If the Human passes his next two saves, is he still on 0 or restored to full hitpoints?
Basically: is Suffocation's "drop all health" aspect Lethal or Non-Lethal.
Situation 2:
I cast Suffocation on a Human with full hitpoints. Human fails his save and begins to suffocate. On his turn, he drops to 0 and is unconscious.
The human fails his second save and on his next turn, he is reduced to -1 hitpoints and is dying. If he passes his third spell, is he restored to 0, or full hitpoints, or does he remain on -1.

Cyclone (Su):
At 8th level, you can create a vortex of turbulent wind around yourself as a standard action.
This vortex has a radius of up to 10 feet and a maximum height of 10 feet per wizard level you possess.
Any ranged attack passing through this vortex automatically misses.
Any flying creature moving through the vortex must make a Fly skill check or immediately fall from the sky, taking falling damage (the creature cannot make a Fly check to reduce or negate this damage).
Creatures on the ground cannot pass through the vortex without first making a Strength check. The DC of this check is equal to 10 + your caster level.
The vortex is faintly visible and can be spotted with a DC 15 Perception skill check.
You can use this ability for a number of rounds per day equal to your wizard level. These rounds do not need to be consecutive.
What is the fly check DC for a flying creature affected by a Cyclone?
Cyclone creates a vortex of 'turbulent' wind. Okay, cool! I look up wind effects under the Fly skill and there is no turbulent. There is Light, Moderate, Strong, Severe, Windstorm, Hurricane and Tornado. All of which have wind speeds listed. But, Cyclone doesn't have a wind speed listing.
In the fly skill section, under High Wind Speeds, it just mentions being "checked" and "blown away," which are both related to size and wind speed.
I can't get my head around this one fly DC check.
Do familiars get the same +1 ability point every 4 levels that players get?
I am wondering how much Adamantine costs. We know how much it costs for weapons, ammo and armour, as presented in that nice little chart. What the chart lacks is something the Mithral section covers nicely: Other Items.
Specifically, how would you price out a Portable Ram with an Adamantine head?
If you feel like being a super-star, what formula would you use? I can't see any correlation between the Mithral price progression and Adamantine's.
As an odd aside, strictly speaking - You can't have an Adamantine shield.
Take a Greatsword. 2d6 damage. Apply Enlarge Person. 3d6 damage.
Apply a new APG spell, Lead Blades, which increases the size of all melee weapons held.
I can't find anywhere that says what weapons become when you go from Medium to Large to Huge.
Any ideas?

I'm looking through the fighter options in the APG PDF and the abilities that replace armor training 1 brought forth a question.
Fighters can normally move at their normal speed while in medium armour at level 3. Normal movement in heavy armour at level 7. This is tacked on the end.
Do things that replace Armour Training mean you also lose the normal speed?
It seems to me that the skill rank ruleset doesn't flow or make sense. Classes get an arbitrary set of class skills and an arbitrary number of ranks plus intelligence.
Intelligence? Really?! A stupid fighter who dedicates his single rank-per-level into profession: cooking (Fighter roleplaying? It's more likely than you think!) can't climb, swim, jump or dungeoneer worth a damn.
It all seems so... Arbitrary.
Are there any alternative systems?
Does anybody know if there are any Pathfinder apps for the iPad? For the iPod Touch and iPhone, too, I guess, but the iPad screen is a fantastic size.
iPad character sheets?
iPad rules sets?
iPad character GENERATORS?
They would make such a fantastic addition to the game. Ease of having a single electronic sheet in front of you without the bulk of a laptop.
Please tell me there are apps available, or at least in the making.
"You place a curse on the subject. Choose one of the following.
–6 decrease to an ability score (minimum 1).
–4 penalty on attack rolls, saves, ability checks, and skill checks.
Each turn, the target has a 50% chance to act normally; otherwise, it takes no action.
You may also invent your own curse, but it should be no more powerful than those described above."
----
What constitutes a curse of similar (but not more powerful) effect as the three options given?
Let's get a thread of options going here.
I'm playing an Oracle and sometimes it'd just be nice to cast a spell without anybody noticing.
As an example, I'm playing a campaign based on the Drow Tales comic and there are several off-shoots of the Drow are pressent. I'm an Ancient Dark Elf, almost extinct. Trying to get into the city, a guard asked for entry gold but I was rescued by a noble of the area (Another player).
For his cheek, as my character walked into the city, she cast Dancing Lights directly in-front of the guard's eyes... and got shot by another guard for doing so.
How would one cast spells without anybody seeing or noticing?
Is anyone able to shed light on why Weapon Finesse isn't an option for the Two-bladed Sword?
Would it be over-powered? I can't think of a weapon that deserves it more, including daggers and rapiers.
Hey folks. I did a quick search and found nothing.
Basically, are Constitution increases retroactive to total HP similar to how the Toughness feat works?
Or does the increase only effect you from when you have the increase?
There was a supplement released with the Beta that had several character traits that you chose at 1st level which would apply special bonuses.
Did Traits not make the cut in the final product? =(
