I was just starting to think calling the bout of sickness a poisoning might have been me being paranoid.

On the off chance
Untrained Engineering: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19

The Professor loped up beside the others after a few moments, but something was off about his posture and the way he was grinning.

"Ah! Love a good rain, eh? Washes everything down the gutter, keeps the sheep inside, and even the local constabulary is more innerested in staying dry than bothering an upstanding gent," the voice was distinctly
Égaré's as it came out of the Professor's lips.

Sorry, he gets sulky if I don't let him at least drive during a rainstorm.

The Professor made his stab at being useful, he'd probably just retire for the night.

The Professor gets back to work on treating as many of the poisoning cases as he can.

Taking 10 for a total of 25. As a side note, that is enough to beat all the DCs for poisons on the poison page of the d20pfsrd save for one.

How long until our match? The Professor is going to spend as much time as he can treating the poisoning victims.

No but he does have Craft (Alchemy). I want to rule out some common ailments like whether last night's chicken was off or someone spread the flu around or forgot to wash their hands after visiting the little gladiator's room.

After doing what he can, the Professor makes notes of the symptoms and hurries to go get changed before the match.

Heal Check: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34 +2 more if I can run out and buy a Healer's Kit before hand. Can I diagnose the ailment more specifically while treating it?

The Professor, hearing that a not inconsiderable number of the other contestants are not feeling well, decides to ply his previous trade and see if he cannot suss out the cause of the ailment while doing a bit of good.

Would any of them acquiesce to an offer of help?

Diplomacy (Because Why Not?): 1d20 ⇒ 19

Whoops! I missed that!

The Professor chooses not to participate in the archery contest as neither he nor his other half were any good with the bow. Instead he sets about exploring the island before the next bout, taking a relaxing walk despite the constant grumbling from the brute.

Male Human Trap Breaker Alchemist 7/Master Chymist 4 | HP 116/116 | AC 24 tch 14 FF 21 | CMD 27/FF 24 | F 12 R 12 W 7 | +2 vs mind affecting, +2 vs fear | Init 3 | Perception 15

This is for diagnosis
Heal Check (w/o healer's kit): Aayalla: 1d20 + 15 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 15 - 2 = 29
Heal Check (w/o healer's kit): Say'ri: 1d20 + 15 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 15 - 2 = 19

When he realizes his two compatriots are not at peak form, the Professor insists on giving the two of them a quick physical at some point before the fight before heading out to try and find suitable supplies to treat their afflictions.

EDIT: Missed that earlier bit!

The Professor carefully instructs the staff not to open the door to his room before morning and retires as well. It would not do to have someone hear something and find the Professor had transformed into his other half in his sleep and was making all manner of inhuman snores and grumbles.

Oh, sorry, didn't realize you were waiting on me, and his actions are going to anti-climactic after the wait.

Perception (Eavesdropping): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32

The Professor will make his way around the restaurant, idly listening to other conversations at a safe distance to see if anything interesting crops up.

A few moments later, the Professor returned, adjusting his clothes and looking bemused. "He acts like this is the first time a mental assault has gotten through to him. Now he'll be sulking until the next fight. I'll do my best to control his grumbling."

"I'm good with either one, though I will note that we are not particularly draconic or daemonic," Guilliam said as he signed Égaré's name in a far neater hand than the bestial fellow would have used.

I'm cool with waiting for a bit. I've learned to be very patient with PBP.

You're awfully cavalier about risking both our lives, Égaré. I, for one, entirely intend to retire one day once I've figured out how to split us properly. Very hard to do that when I'm dead. Guill cut in a second later, reining in his other half with expert care.

'Takeshi the Talkative' has nice alliteration as well as verbal irony. In a similar vein, you could be Say'ri the Scintillating. We would then have Aayalla the Alluring and Guilliam the... I think I'd only need a stage name if I were to step onto the battlefield. Guilliam said from his bowl of noodles and paperwork. So don't tax yourself on my account.

Just checking in. My weekend has been pretty busy but I figure the Prof isn't a very social person and not having his other half in the room means no abundance of competitive pride to drive interactions with the other fighters.

More like he uses whatever accents get more of a reaction out of people. He has been on a psuedo-cockney kick for a while now.

It was a good thing the Professor was in the driver's seat today. If Égaré had been out, he would have been eating the noodle house out of business with his horrible appetite. Instead, the Avistan man sat at the table next to Say'ri, eating with conservative bites and pouring over the registration and papers for their team. It was his habit before agreeing to a fight to strenuously examine all contracts and agreements to make sure they were not being taken advantage of.

Finally, he was satisfied and slipped everything back into his briefcase before turning his attentions back to the noodle house at large. He was not a particularly powerfully built man and in comparison to many others in this establishment, he looked positively reedy but there was a way he looked at the other contestants that was not to be ignored by the wise or wary. The unimposing man was sizing them all up with a practiced eye.

Quite the crowd, he thought to Say'ri.

Team dad, right here

Alright, finished slapping some Spheres of Might stuff onto Wyr for if the need arose.

My intended party role is that of Social/Survivalist with switch hitting in combat, very limited healing for emergencies, and some general utility spellcasting. Trickster seemed to fit best with the concept. I'm probably going to take Beyond Morality at some point for flavor reasons and because it will be hilarious to just slough off effects that knock my more morally polarized companions on their butts.

I'm personally going for a switch hitting Ranger/Mesmerist with an archetype that gives the Mesmerist the Hunter spell list. I've always viewed gestalt as a way to open up options so two modes of combat and a solid chunk of utility casting appeals. I guess that still falls under Full BAB/Divine Caster but I was hoping to be a swiss army knife in terms of a lot of my options.

Alright, I've got the non-spheres stats for Wyr worked up. I was unsure how the Feat Tax rules interacted with the mythic versions of the feats they replaced, so I just went ahead and took the mythic versions of Weapon Finesse and Deadly Aim.

I'll tack on some spheres stuff for if I end up accepted and others in the party intend to use them as well but for now my character is tentatively finished.

I meant to get them done last night but I had migraine auras showing up in my vision after my workout and had to retreat to bed and brace for impact. Still feel gross. I'll get it done soon.

Here is the non-crunchy bits for Han's submission. I'll try to sit down tomorrow and polish off the character sheets.

I was planning on doing two builds, one using the Spheres of Might material and one not using it. Depending on if I get in and any of the rest of the party is using the SoM will determine if I do as well.

On a related note, would you mind if I put together a custom Martial Tradition for the SoM build? I was thinking of something akin to:

Warrior of Elven Antiquity:
Equipment: Custom Training (discipline) (Elven Thornblade, Elven Leafblade, Elven Curve Blade, Elven branched spear, and one more open slot I can't find a use for)
-Note: Elven weapon familiarity lets me treat all 'Elven' weapons as martial weapons
Equipment: Either Critical Genius (Longbow) or Unarmored Training
Sniper Sphere
Fencing Sphere
