GM SuperTumbler wrote: Roy, the attack doesn't matter at this point, but you could spend a Hero Point to reroll the Toughness save. When you do that, you get at least an 11. If you roll a 3, for example, it becomes a 13. So you wouldn't be in such trouble. Totally up to you, of course. So before using the hero point, how long does the staggered and - 1 last?

My wife and I are recovering reasonably well, my mother in law is staying with us, she developed Bronchitis but slowly doing well, My mom was in the hospital with covid/pneumonia and then to a step down facility. She developed other symptoms and is back in the hospital. She's stabilized and were looking at bringing her home Monday.

Thanks for the link and the explanation. I've been running ragged and not paying great attention. I'll try and get it all straightened out.

"Blast!' The robot's blaster hitting him in the shoulder, Roy leaves the ugly bull thing to Rigel, turning towards the robot he fires a stream of automatic fire. blaster vs Walker: 1d20 + 10 - 3 ⇒ (5) + 10 - 3 = 12
Having trouble translating the map, the right side looks like the hanger we teleported in. After we inspected and disabled the ship, we said we would 'knock' you said "The door from the hangar into the factory slides open, revealing an industrial tripod robot walker. Floating above and behind it is a minotaur-like alien warrior clutching an axe made from pure darkness." so I've moved Roy to where I assume the door would be. It looks like you've combined two maps, the map on the left is squared differently than the map on the right. Are the squares on the left-hand map 5 ft? Is the Auroch and robot Large or medium? Also double checking attack with the blaster, it would be: blaster attack 1d20+10 for damage 1d10, would I need to include things like 'Precise Attack' every attack? Or do you want them listed under a spoiler or something like that?
So How many boots on the ground? Roy, Rigel and Tess? Smiling at Rigel's comment, Roy continues towards the door from the hangar into the factory. Recognizing the armband of the Blackguard, Roy shakes his head and activates his weapon and shield. "We are representatives of the ruling council, you will stand down and let us continue our investigation."

Thanks for the heads up Rock, I didn't realize he was 'defenseless if he's walking around.' So did he teleport with us to the station and isn't leaving the ship we found at the station, or is still on our ship?
M&M Rockhead wrote: I suppose his head glows... Nodding as Rock confirms his scan. Roy was still getting used to the idea that when Rock's head was 'glowing' that he was literally viewing something remotely, not just using sensors. Winking at Rock as moves from the ship towards the doors of the space station, he looks toward Tess and Rigel asking, "Do you want Rock to take the time to 'view' the station as well, or shall we use the old fashion method and just knock?"
Finding the computer terminal, Roy takes a quick look first at the various systems connected to the terminal, then to the terminal itself. Finding the terminal reasonably familiar, he lifts the maintenance panel and removes five of the processor cards. Tucking them in his coat pocket, he turns towards 'Rock' asking, "Should we do a visual check for crew or do you think we're good to go?"
My posting may be slow for a couple of days, I still intend to check the boards a couple of times a day, but I'm not living at the computer. Don't wait for me to make the decisions and if we get in combat bot me if needed. Both my wife and mom have come down with covid. My mom (86) was almost unresponsive so we called the squad, she's at the hospital. I'll end up being there a bit and taking care of my wife, thus not at the computer as much as usual and I hate posting on my phone.
"Yes, mind link is good." He turns and looks at Rockhead as he draws his very similar offensive and defensive weapons, smiling "I still tend to forget it's an option." As he nears the 'Severed Cyclops he observes the ship, looking first for an access port, then at finer details. perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17
Having jumped behind the nearby comet, Roy carefully eases up over the edge of the comet, viewing the spheroid of rock and ice. Making a mental note of the location of the docking portal, he asks quietly into the microphone of his helmet. "Tess are you getting all of this?" using all the sensory things the 'helmet' provides, Darkvision, Microvision, Distance Sense and extended Vision 1: x10
Listening as Tess calculated the 'intersystem jump' Roy was still learning about such things from her. Where he'd come from, they would have just flown the distance, in a craft or separately using the 'jet pack.' Realizing Rockhead had been searching different holograms for more information, Roy mentally 'breathes a sigh of relief' realizing his hypothesis did have warrant. As Tess explains and executes her plan, Roy shifts his gaze to the screen showing the large asteroid. He smiles when she says, 'suit up.' She'd streamlined his original gear so that he could wear it wherever they were at. The 'jet pack' nestled comfortably between his shoulder blades ready to expand in a second. His original helmet's material and electronics changed so it could condense into a pair of odd 'glasses.' Touching the switch on the side of his glasses, he reaches out with his other hand to accept the 'suitcase sized scanner.' As his helmet extends around his head from his glasses he turns to the others, asking. "How soon will we be ready to go?"

Dude, I'm so good with comic-logic or superhero-space-animation. I figure there's a reason the smartest fellow in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" is a raccoon.
As Rigel comments about 'as much information as possible' he quickly looks to Tess and Flow. Hearing Tess comment about the method of transporting there, Roy assumes there is no more information to be had. "Whatever you think that's best Tess, I know you've forgotten more about space travel than I'll ever know." He smiles knowing she doesn't forget anything. Adding "How long will it take to get us there?"
Hearing there was an abandoned facility on a lone comet that could actually be used to do exactly what they were talking about, Roy, mouth agape, looks from Flow to Tess. "That sounds like something we should investigate." His instincts screaming he turns towards Rock trying to stay calm. "If you all don't think it's that big of a deal, I guess I could go alone." Looking towards Rigel he continues. "But it does seem to be someplace that should be secured."
Frowning as Tess explains what is necessary to make the nightmare come true, Roy points out, "They have been stealing a lot of material. Besides they don't need to blow it up, just disrupt it. That is quite a different matter." He tries to do the math in his head, but shaking it simply asks, "Or am I wrong?"
GM SuperTumbler wrote: Sorry, I thought you were rolling for one of the spoilers above. Hmmm there are spoilers above? Nope! But thank you for the information now :) As he watched the holo-show, Roy, as was his normal perspective, considered what sort of weapon the materials could be used for. As he considered what he know about fission and fusion and realized the possible danger. Speaking softly at first, almost to himself, "They mean to disrupt the fusion reactions in the sun." Then louder to the others, "They mean to disrupt the fusion reaction in the systems star." Hypothesizing more, thinking as he spoke... "If they disrupt the sun's function, as well as put the planets at odds with each other, it would force the planets to look for an outward source to help them or just destabilize the region enough that a 'soft' takeover would work." His eyes widen as he realizes what his hypothesis would mean. Asking, "That could be it, right?"
ok, I got the header started, there is probably other stuff I should add, I'm just not sure what it is. Earlier we'd discussed. GM SuperTumbler wrote:

Anything? Turning towards Attache, Roy nods towards Rockhead, "I believe my friend is right. They wish to sow discord, stealing the elements in stead of mining them will do that, as the sabotage proves. But I believe they will be using the stolen minerals for something." HE turns towards Tess, having not considered that they were looking for something in particular. "So you think they may be searching for something already made from the minerals?"
As he considers the three elements stolen and their uses, Roy nods with Attache's observation, when Tess begins to explain the sourse of the elements. Doing his best to follow the lecture, Roy, as a visual learner appreciated the holographic imagery. He looks to Rigel as the guardian suggests they were looking for someone who was Terraforming. Roy had not thought about that, he'd assumed someone would be building a weapon. Smiling at the thought, he reminded himself that just because he would be building a weapon didn't mean everyone would. Shrugging he confesses, "I'd assumed they were using the elements for a weapon." Turning to Tess and Attache he asks, "Is anyone doing any terraforming in the nearby systems?" Rolling technology to know what the most common uses for those elements combined

Chuckling at Flows comment about the ship being drier. He turns to the council, "It was pleasure, thank you for your time. When we have definitive proof, we shall have Flow contact you." Turning towards Tess, as he waits for her to teleport them back to the ship, he asks. "Tess, when you get the information would you send it to my helmet?"
As Rigel introduced himself, Roy realized the 'blue lantern' was right. He really had no idea what the blue lantern Corp was or did. Hopefully they didn't have a bad reputation in this system. He did smile when his teammate inferred Deadalous would soon be replaced. When the crocodilian general spoke, Roy wanted to tell the arrogant officer that respect was earned. Instead, once he realized the general was actual voting 'for' them, he bit his tongue. Turning towards the the governor as she announced they would represent the council. He raised an eyebrow when Hexxim was introduced. Curious, the one species which seemed to value subtlety and deception would be providing their 'attaché.' He chuckled to himself recognizing the twists and turns they would be dealing with. Nodding towards the blue woman, "We thank the council for their vote of confidence." Quickly turning towards Flow, "A pleasure to be working with you Attache Flow." He turns from the creature, gesturing towards 'Tess' "Could you download all information available to Tess so she can begin analyzing it?" Turning back towards the six tentacled 'attaché' he asks. "Would you care to join us on our ship?" He quickly looks back to Tess, "With your permission of course Tess."
Strangely enough I took 'skill mastery' in insight and perception, assuming they would boost my skill level. But instead it let's me 'take 10' whenever. So I will :) Raising an eyebrow as Haasaan says forthrightness like she'd tasted something sour, Roy pauses considering his answer. Smiling he answers "What is so special?" Lifting his hand he holds up two fingers, "Two things, first, Daedalus, knowing your methods, selected us." His smile turns wolfish, "And the second..." he gestures towards the other three races, "We're not them, just as we are not you. We are independent contractors and it is in our best interest to disrupt any Stellar Imperium advances, here or elsewhere." His smile fades as he looks directly at the matriarch. "Do not mistake our 'forthrightness' to facilitate this meeting quickly for a lack of guile. We will do what is necessary to achieve our goals."
Nodding to Em’Thellethet, Roy looks towards Tess (not wanting to make promises he can't keep) then looks back to the screen. "True, but it does put us one step closer to letting us look into the thefts. We appreciate your patience while we try to get all four of your planets governments to agree to let us arbitrate."
He turns toward the blue skinned humanoid woman. "I believe your correct in your assertion that the timing of our arrival coincides with these events. They are the exact reason why Daedalus sent us. We believe the Stellar Imperium is involved and is trying to cause dissention among your planets." He glances towards the two representatives of the races they'd had their confrontation with. "I also believe, at least from what we've seen, that their plan is working." Turning back towards Governor Endara, "To answer the question, our intention is to learn what parties are causing the thefts and violence. To return both peace to the region and the stolen properties to their rightful owners. Also, if possible, to ascertain if the Stellar Imperium is in fact involved."
Roy can make faces Not exactly sure why these two don't trust each other, Roy hopes they will trust Daedalus. Stepping forwards, trusting his translator will select the best words possible, he explains why they are here. "The famous human hero Daedalus said he had friends here in the Flegere system. He asked that we come help. We know you don't know us and that you don't trust each other, but trust that Daedalus wants to help and he asked us to do that. Why don't you tell us what was stolen and why you don't trust each other. Maybe we can help." He shrugs and gives his best smile, "Maybe we can keep from blowing each other to smithereens" diplomacy: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
Nodding at Tess's responce, Roy hoped there would be a peaceful solution. But he knew Tess was an expert in galactic law and was releaved they would not have to worry about prosecution. Shuddering as he hears Rockhead's information. Rockhead's ability to communicate telepathically was amaizing, but still somewhat disconcerting. Watching and listening Roy realized Tess was attempting to refocus the two commanders on her instead of their argument. As she explained her plan, he nodded. When she puases, he asked, "If the accept the offer, should we carefully inquire about the disagreement they were having? See if we may be of assistance? It would be a pity if two of the systems planets go up in smoke before we have a chance to solve all their problems." Rockhead, can you read Roy's thoughts so if he desired to communicate back?
Thank you fro the update on Roy's Stats GM ST, earlier I asked
