P'oxtan takes a seat on one of the pews, Amaqil curling up next to him.

"We are wounded ssstill. I should like to take sssome time to ressst."

P'oxtan steps in to flank the demon, ripping at the demon with his claws, though one goes wide.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Attack 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Amaqil takes a bite out of the demon before running backwards as P'oxtan commands her to, hoping to spare her any more brutal attacks from the thing.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

P'oxtan directs Amaqil to attack as he rips into the demon with a flurry of claws.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Attack 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Attack 3: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Amaqil tries her best against the demon, putting a bit more heart into biting it.

Bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Damage?: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

P'oxtan shifts his focus to the larger demon as he directs Amaqil to attack at the same time he does.

The raptor darts in, but again, the extraplanar beasts disturb her and she shies away.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

P'oxtan then lets out a flurry of claws. He has no such fears of planar beings.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Attack 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

P'oxtan stalks into the room, directing Amaqil to attack the quasit as he narrows his eyes, readying to focus his battle fury on the flying demon.

Amaqil charges in, though unused to fighting extraplanar creatures her bite misses.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

P'oxtan and Amaqil stride on stage, a lithe and deadly reptilian duo. The two of them face off, circling each other like two predators running across each other in some forgotten, primeval jungle. P'oxtan lets out a hissing bellow as Amaqil charges.

She tackles the reptilian warrior, "menacing" him with razor-sharp claws and a maw full of fanged teeth.

Feigning struggle, the two reptiles wrestle before P'oxtan eventually prevails, pinning the raptor and then lifting her above his head.

Athletics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22

Didn't realize you all were waiting on me, sorry.

Still around, just didn't feel I had a lot to contribute in a social situation.

P'oxtan nods in quiet agreement. He desperately wanted to ask about eating the goat, but figured that wouldn't improve the situation too much.

I'm entirely too familiar with that customer service voice. I find myself having to exercise it more than I'd like to at work.

P'oxtan holds his forked tongue. While not actively uncharismatic, he was unlikely to improve the situation, especially considering the goat had nearly killed his dinosaur.

P'oxtan lets out a rattling sigh as his war crest retracts. He takes a knee by Amaqil, stroking the raptor's bright plumage. In the hissing Iruxi tongue he says, "My thanks to the Storm Father you yet live."

Forgot I was up. I'll post my actions tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

P'oxtan hisses with rage and shifts his focus to the goat before trying to tear into it with his claws.

Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Attack 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Attack 3: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

Guess is only one of those will hit. Apologies for missing my action. Kept meaning to update but things got in the way.

Ah, guess I’d missed that. First time running an animal companion in PF2 so things slip through the cracks.

P'oxtan directs Amaqil to attack the goat lady as he focuses for a moment, staring the woman in the eyes before he and Amaqil attack in unison, a cloud of claws and fangs and cold reptilian rage.

So thanks to Amaqil's work together ability, we're considered flanking if we both threaten an enemy. 1 action to direct Amaqil, 1 to hunt prey, and one to flurry.

P'oxtan Attack 1: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
P'oxtan Attack 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Damage 1: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Amaqil Attack 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Amaqil Attack 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage 1: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Damage 2: 1d6 ⇒ 1

P'oxtan motions to Amaqil before charging in, his dinosaur close behind him. Though he's not quite able to reach, Amaqil does, lunging at the thug inside.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

No problem. I've just started classes, and between that and adjusting to juggling it with work I'm grateful for some downtime.

That sounds hilarious. P'oxtan wouldn't have the craziness or much of the humor for it, but I think that's an awesome idea.

P'oxtan stands behind Finn, Amaqil next to him. "Sssay the word, and we shall...how do the warmbloods sssay it, raissse hell."

Set to jet.

P'oxtan's eyes narrow and membranes flit across them as he stares at Finn. Though understated as always, the party has spent enough time with P'oxtan to know an incredulous look.

I've been eyeing up that beast master archetype. Could be a direction I decide to take P'oxtan. I like the idea of hunting with a pack of dinos.

"I will carry him. I am the strongest of us, he glances down to Finn and in a tone that could almost be interpreted as sarcasm says, "Unless this small one has been holding out on us."

P'oxtan soothes Amaqil as Millie works on her. Dinosaurs aren't known for their patience, but the iruxi's affinity for beasts helps to smooth things over.

P'oxtan's eyes flit over to Finn as the halfling starts shouting, before shooting a sympathetic glance to the other halfling in the group.

”She isss hurt, yesss.”

P’oxtan crouches by the gnome, ”Thisss sssmall one, he is dead. I wonder who he wasss before he returned to the spiritsss.”

P'oxtan lets out a hissing roar as his war-crest flares and he charges at the boar, followed closely by his saurian ally.

P'oxtan pounces onto the boar as Amaqil darts around back and lunges in for a bite.

P Attack 1: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
P Attack 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
Attack 1 Dam: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

A Attack 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
A Attack 2: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Attack 1 Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

P'oxtan and Amaqil charge in. Amaqil bites at the boar, trying to score a snack. P'oxtan leaps onto it with both claws, with one sinking deep into the boar's leathery hide.

P Attack 1: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
P Attack 2: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Crit Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 20

A Attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Have they all run at this point?

P'oxtan motions to Amaqil, and the raptor charges forward, P'oxtan follows along.

Though P'oxtan isn't quite as fast as his feathered companion, he still makes it over to the boar.

His raptor, however, bites at the boar.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Yep, I'm aware of how much the rune transfer would be.

Ach, any chance the rune transfer could've happened before the fight? Fine if not.

As soon as he's able, P'oxtan looks for someone to transfer the rune from the sickle to a set of handwraps.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Just got off of 30 miles of steep, muddy trails! Nonetheless, it was absolutely incredible.

Hey folks, in an effort to fight off the funk I’ve been in recently I’ll be backpacking in the Olympic Peninsula between the 6th and the 10th meaning I won’t be able to post.

P’oxtan was up before dawn. Though his cold blood made him sluggish in the early hours, he thoroughly enjoyed an early morning soak in the river.

He recites his prayers to the ancestor spirits, to Snake and Gecko and the mighty Tyrant Lizard, to his namesake the Storm Father.

A simple breakfast of lightly seared meat is enough for him, and he heads to the animal pens. For the a few days before Thunder’s death he’d been working on, or more accurately with, a special project.

When he finally catches up with the group, he is accompanied by a bipedal, clawed reptilian creature. Feathers run along it’s spine and arms, while scaled and leathery skin covers the rest. The glint of predatory intelligence is clear in its eyes.

”Comradesss. Thisss isss...” He pauses for a moment before letting out a high-pitched warbling hiss. ”I sssupose you may not be able to pronounce that. She isss Amaqil to you.” The beast gives a slight bow to the party and P’oxtan pats the raptor and says, ”Clever girl.”

”Ssso, to the town?”

"Wake her up, question her, turn her in. It isss not iruxi justice, but I have learned that warmbloodsss ssseem to frown upon eating those who have taken the life of another."

A treat wounds would do the trick. She’s unconcious so we just need to give her a little HP.

Dromaeosaur, so a sort of raptor. I’ll get the header up later today.

Alright, character is updated! My various bonuses and things have increased by 1, I've got 12 more HP, I picked up Experienced Tracker for my skill feat and Animal Companion for my class feat.

Yep. Just got a few days off work, so I’ll have my sheet updated soon.

P'oxtan rises to his feet, still slightly charred from the lightning, "Damned witch. She may be the one who was controlling the animals. A cursed practice."

If I'm using handwraps of mighty blows (a 0 base gp item) I can apply runes to my claws.

Thinking of picking up an animal companion, specifically a dromaeosaur. Would it be feasible for the circus to have a dinosaur as an exotic animal?

P'oxtan barrels past Nemmia, slicing her with a claw as he gets in front of Honey to protect her from the demented halfling.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

P’oxtan steps in and hisses, ”You were warned” He then slashes at her, one of his claws going wide.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Attack 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Sorry for missing my turn. I've had a rough couple of days and only just mustered up the creativity to update my games.

It's acrobatics to try and escape, yes?

In character, P’oxtan is a stubborn wall of a lizard. Out of character, I posted while somewhat distracted at work, and didn’t notice my unconsciousness. My own fault.

Inspired by what he would like to do to the insolent halfling, P’oxtan lashes out and scores one, maybe two, decent hits on the bear.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Attack 2 w/ Guidance: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Attack 3: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Attack 2 Reroll: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 5 + 1 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

P'oxtan lets out another ferocious, and ultimately futile volley.

Attack 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18

Attack 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Attack 3: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

Man, I would love to hit once in a while...
