I found a tool online that allows me to merge pdfs I have merged all characters into one pdf but of course it goes barbarian lv1, lv2, lv3 then warrior lv1, lv2, lv3 etc.

Indeed I was looking for one pdf per level range i.e. all level 1 pregens in one file. I am sure it would be easy for someone with creative cloud or a pdf writer to do instead of everyone having to hack it together.

Just wondering if it would be ok to provide the pre-gens grouped by level in addition of one file per class. It gets pretty tiresome printing one of each for a specific level. Still get them as we do but with an additional 3 files with each level grouped it would make it a damn side easier to print.

Anyway great job keep it up loving the game.

I am still making my mind about society play but looks like you have lots of characters, but paz suggestion of adventure path is a good one.

Undead aren't summoned they are created. The feat will have no effect on the creation of undead.

I have just looked at my society characters and noticed that someone has used my character in some game session with out me being there. It seems the web site has even created a new forum alias for one of the entries.

These sessions were in the US but I live in the UK and I have never been to the USA.

My questions is this normal what advantage people get from using others characters in fake sessions?

Hi, it has been a few weeks now just decided to have a look at the page performance again.

Currently the pages are loading in average 4 to 6 seconds which is good however looking at the items I mentioned on my original post there hasn't been much movement and the two most important things which would help with the load of the server and page speed are still an issue. So a lot of the static content is still being served with a 60 seconds expire and other items have about 60 minutes is there any reason for this? How often boilerplate images and static content changed during the day?

Of course memcache alone won't solve all the problems with the website. The things pointed out at the star are pretty important and will help considerably another aspect that needs to be looked at is how well every is layout. How many front end servers you have how dumb they are, session state where is it kept, how it is kept etc

You guys are doing a great job and we all want the success of the brand and to my mind page speed should be at the top everyone's list. The site has gone a long way since the start and paizo too.

Just a customer that cares that all.

I would like to suggest also that you cache as much content on in a memory database like memcache or even redis. That would help considerably since it would not have to go back to the back end database so much specially on the forums and shop.

I am happy to provide any advice as I do things like this everyday it is part of my job

For better performance

Please use a CDN (content delivery network) for images and static content. Amazon, Rackspace or even akamai will do.
This will help with the majority of your page load issues

leverage browser caching, majority if not all of your static content has got a 60 seconds expire date, 60 seconds!

Make sure all you static content is served from a cookieless domain

Try to combine some of your images as CSS Sprites so only one is downloaded instead of 11.

Optimise your images, properly formatting and compressing images can save many bytes of data. Usually apps like photoshop etc save a ton of useless data as metadata on images running a optimisation tool on them can really help reduce their size.

Defer parsing of javascript you have quite a few js files loaded and parsed on page load move it to the end instead so it is done after page render.

Also minify you javascript and css that will safe you loads of space.

And lastly optimise the order of styles and scripts so they are downloaded in the correct order and the browser is not force to delay execution of some items because it has to download a resource it hasn't got yet

For better user experience

Please increase the session time out at the moment it is too short I am forever losing my session and having to log in again only to lose my changes and or original post.

It has taken me over 30 minutes to change my profile image I have my session time out 3 times.

The page loads are taking between 5 to 20 seconds at the moment.

Hope I haven't caused any offence

Ok, cool thank you for clarifying things for me, I have only one last question which i not quite sure.

1 - while doing the two claw attacks what penalties are imposed? (the weapon fighting penalties? ) and to make it simple at level 1 do i apply my BAB to my attacks with my claws?

2 - While under the effect of lets say shocking grasp can it be discharged when i am doing my claw attacks on the next round? that question goes for any touch spells really can i deliver touch spells while attacking with my claws?

think i dont have any more questions really.

Forgive me if this question sound silly or newbiesh.

1 - With the claw attack, being a natural weapon can i apply weapon finesse?

2 - i get two attack per round using the claws. what happen when i reach the level where i get 2 attack normally? can i do the claw attack and then attack with something else or even claw again?

I had a look at the previous post about didnt find anything that could answer my questions.

There's not one. The film guidelines just get bandied about since they're so pervasive and even they don't fit 100% exactly here. Thus, it kind of has to fall into the the realm of "we'll know it when we see it" for legal reasons. I know that's vague and probably will be until someone gets called on it. If you're concerned, a good (and obviously unofficial) sniff test might be to think if it would get your mom or grandmom's bustle in a bunch. If you think it might, that could be a bad sign. Or, even better, you could just give us a yell and ask.

Yeah agree whole heartily with you I have no worries my intentions on posting the pg 13 qualification was only as a clarification to stop people asking the ins and outs of things and putting the strain on james or vic.

In the end of the day if any one is looking to do something that would brush close the "adult content" it would be good to ask or let you know about it. after all whether it is compatibility or community use license it is your ip that would be annex to some crazy idea that you may not be happy about it.

As I understand it, and I'm not anything like an expert, they can appeal to the traditional UK courts as well. It's also true that traditional UK courts have performed many injustices. But in all cases, Sharia is only used if both parties consent. Now, there is certainly a potential issue of forced consent, but I'm not sure how that could be worked around.

I'm still waiting for Hollywood to apologise for U571, by the way. ;-)

EDIT: Jewish religious courts are empowered under the same legislation. As long as they abide by UK law, aren't involved in criminal law, and are only used with mutual consent, I can't see why either shouldn't be allowed.

Yes. If you want to do something not covered by the license, contact licensing@paizo.com... but keep in mind that we don't plan to offer a lot of licenses like that. You'll need to have a very, very good plan that presents exceptionally unique and interesting product ideas.

I find it quite strange that only few of these logos are vector format. For example, there's only a drop shadow that requires pixel graphic in Pathfinder roleplaying game's logo, but the entire logo is pixel graphic. I have a character sheet which I'm updating to use community use package and I hoped it to include vectorized version of PFRPG logo... I know this is a small matter, but the logo has suffered a lot from jpg packaging. Sorry about complaining when this is absolutely great to have this kind of community policy =).

aye jpeg is not the best, png supports transparency and the no detail is lost.

The UN can't impose anything on anyone. If it could, the US would be bound by the convention on human rights which it has refused to apply as it outlaws the death penalty (making America one of the more honest countries in the world as numerous dictatorships with capital punishments and a record of human rights abuses that put even the overinflated accusations against the US to...

I hope so the thought of the UN making into binding decision to all its member states scares me. They may not be able to enforce it but the "victims" of blasphemy (so they say) can take the government(s) to the UN courts. Where it could be force to pay for damages and even jail individuals.

But more to the topic: Did the movie industy apologize for making Hitler's Germany look bad, no. Did the movie industry apologize for all the racial analogies in the oringinal King Kong, no. Did the movie industry apologize to all the physically and mentally handicapped they made fun of over the years, no. Did the movie industry apologize for all the sequals to the Pirates of the Caribbean or Back to the Future movies, no. To be clear, it's not an "upgrade"—the Community Use Policy and the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Compatibility License do different things. The former allows for non-commercial use of some of our copyrighted materials; the latter allows for people who publish compatible products under the OGL, either professionally or non-professionally, to market them with a special logo.

If you're asking, though, about what happens if you have a Community Use project going, and then you become a commercial publisher, the answer is in the Community Use Policy:

Just as long as there's still a focus on the Adventure Path, and as long as I can call it a 'Players Guide', in some sense. I'm down with that. By all means expand to include more general information for the region that the AP is focused on, but the information on the AP itself is vital, in my view. Keep that coming!
