I also started this AP once. It died almost immediately. I would like to play the same character if chosen, this is him. I think he follows the rules laid out above except for background skills, I'll double check though. But the important bits are here so I'm going ahead and posting. Thanks for your consideration.

Petr was a bit surprised that things happened so quickly. When the tiefling failed to get the keys from the doctor he made a decision. Petr shuffled over to where the doctor lay and reached through the bars to grab him. "My friend asked nicely to let us out." He surprised himself with the use of the word 'friend' but didn't dwell on it.
My plan was to continue summoning Razia, she can just waltz out of the cell. Since he was unsuccessful in his attempt to grab the keys I will change my mind. I hadn't thought about helping the fellow on the table, how close is he to us?
So you and I are the ones most likely to go grab him Andulian. Unless you get in trouble, or just want me to help, I'll probably continue doing what I'm doing.
And thanks for reminder about occult spells. First time actually running them, so please keep me in line if I mess anything up! :) Its almost exactly the same. The only real differences are the components and that we can 'undercast' them. You probably have seen this but I'll link it anyway. The main thing to keep in mind is the components. They are entirely mental actions and can be used while grappled and all that. So if you want to keep Darin and I from casting don't put us in a silent area, cast fear on us.
Alright, I will keep that in mind in the future. Still learning:) I thought it may not be unattended but I thought I'd give it a shot. It doesn't really matter here but I want to mention that occult spells don't have verbal components.
Petr looks annoyed at the doctor's words, and his own failure. He looks to the others and holds a finger up in a 'one moment' gesture. He sits on the floor and begins meditating.
Oh indeed. I just don't want you guys to think we're dumb.:) Except Bob(Shawn), he is dumb. Another thing to warn you guys about: We have our own twisted kind of humor/injokes that will surely start coming up here in ooc. For example, we like to make fun of Bob. I almost called out his poor reading comprehension above. It doesn't hurt his feelings, or if it does who cares right? Just kidding Bob.
I guess I should mention I've done plenty of pbp's before, but on a different site and things are a little different. My buddies here have not, this is their first foray into pbp ever. So any weirdo questions come from those two factors..
Nevertheless, he signed, pointing at the doctor's belt, trying to not be noticed by him. He definitely pointed it out, no assumptions on his actions needed. The question is I, as a player, jumped to the idea of exactly what he was pointing to but would Petr have known what he was pointing to since he didn't have a spoiler tag in his face to clarify exactly what was on the belt? I could see it going either way but I may ought to have waited for GM go ahead to do what I did.
I just thought of something. I saw Andulian made the perception check and pointed at the belt. I assumed he was pointing out the spoiler so I looked and made my action based on that. But he didn't actually say anything. Was that ok? Or should I not have done that?
I said that, but it's all the same. I said something similar but you were the one to put it so poetically. Very amped now that we are underway. Very cool opening.
"Razia!" Petr sits straight up gasping a name. He isn't sure why he said that name but it feels perfectly right to do after a nightmare. What is it now? A voice responds in his head. Then he remembers. Razia is his phantom, a spirit bound to him, somehow, but he doesn't remember why. Nothing Razia, just a bad dream. She says no more but he can feel something from her. Compassion perhaps? He then notices the things going on around him. He's never been the most scrupulous man but even he had his limits. Watching a man being tortured was beyond those limits and besides, he doesn't want to stay locked up any longer than he has to. He may not remember much but he does know what he can do. Seeing that the doctor seems to be ignoring them he nods towards the teifling, not sure why he should trust him but again it just seems right. He points at the keyring himself but he has a different reason.
Having undead around when we are near npc's shouldn't be a problem. Petr has an odd relationship with the undead(there are hints in the info I've put on my profile so far, as we go we should start seeing whats up more clearly), he wouldn't cast animate undead outside of a dungeon very much if ever. And then he would want to destroy them once their usefulness is gone. And even if he didn't want to destroy them Razia, my phantom, definitely would. I'm still writing her info up but she hates. HATES the undead.
Definitely grey. I wasn't planning on going all out as a necromancer with scores of zombies following behind but I thought I might summon them up on occasion. Usually a paladin who allows themselves to be aided by an evil creature is up for a fall right away. I can skip the undead no big deal but if you can retain your paladinhood with a zombie or two walking around would Andulian want to smite my face if I bring one out here and there?
Should my phantom have two memories as well? Whether from before her death or after becoming a phantom?
Regardless of what we end up with, I'll balance the adventure around the group. I like the sound of that. I think this is gonna be a blast. Petr here is going to be my(egg) character. |
