Sorry I am not too sure where you are getting the extra 2d6? My regular damage would be (arrow) 1d6+4...then with sneak damage of an extra 1d6...add on the assassinate ability adds 1d6 more to regular damage and another 1d6 to sneak damage (I believe)...is this right?? Sorry for the confusion..first time using assassinate ability!

Peren is a friendly little fellow, but keeps to himself for the most part. He is always interested in hearing stories of other people, but says very little about himself. Peren latched onto Norswain and Laris while the group was in the camp. Their stories interested him greatly, and he decided to "keep near" in case anything "interesting" happened around these interesting people. Does that sound ok? Laris and Norswain only know that he came in with a recent caravan and seemed taken with the two of them, for some reason.

Something new is not a problem...especially if you can weave it into the ongoing story. Maybe move into something like the "A" series?? or parts of it?? Maybe we find slaves on the ship and link it to the slaver's compound..or something like that...whatever would be fine with me however.

When activally searching do I gain advantage to check for traps? As I understand it, if I just look at an item that might have a trap the DM rolls a passive perception check, but if I am actively examining an object I use Investigate...is that right?? I have heard this explained a number of different ways, but this one makes the most sense to me

This was a great game and I hope we can come back to it at some point, but I understand your reasons. Keep me informed of any new games that might start, as well if this one comes back online. Hope to play with you all again!

Ok, I think I have done this correctly, but since it is a new ability I just want to be sure. As it is a surprise attack, I get advantage. If it hit, then I get my regular damage dice, as well as sneak damage. Because he was surprised, I also score a critical hit and do double all damage dice. Is this correct? I think it is...
