Give ground, Take two conditions: guilty, insecure

Putting his guard up expecting a forward assault Indy finds himself skipping forward as his backend is lashed with a fiery brand.

"Ah oooh ouch, okay that's hot."

He slaps at the scorch mark as if that would somehow help the flare of pain. Whirling around he tries to buffet the villan with his wings and get some ground back.

Lose yourself to dance:

Indarius could see that the alternate Chroknight had departed, or finally destabilized, or any number of temporal wordings. He wanted to move over and see if Chloe and Samantha were okay after the whole ordeal. But his body wouldn't obey him, which started to dredge up the not so distant fear of being controlled. Indy began to breath quicker, combined woth the excessive motion he started feeling short of breath as the world felt like it squeezed in around him, the music beginning to fade behind the strangling beat of his own heart.

Then he finds himself surrounded by the other students of Daedalus, having seemingly shimmied over to the groups and being welcomed in as a giant dancing disco ball. A voice rang out in his head, much like his sending spell, but it was a voice he'd never heard himself.

'Relax kid take a breath. It's not always bad to lose yourself when the moment's right. Listen to your body and let it dance on the wave of life.'

Not being able to trace back any aetheric signature, not in his current state at the very least didn't help but the voice felt reassuring and familiarly comforting. So he did his best to relax, his heart slowed again and the dance music began to creep back in along with the cheers and smiles of all the other students.

'You gotta live with the things your protecting in order to really see the reason why you do it. Live a little cause you're gonna live alot.'

With that the voice faded and Indy felt a surge of confidence and let himself feel the flow of the room dancing the night away sure that rveryone else was handling their baggage just fine without him. He could enjoy his little hoard of treasures and the pleasures they bring too.

He spoke to and laughed with many of his fellow students, met some new faces, and danced the night away. By the end of it all he was thoroughly exhausted but for the first time in a long time it was the good kind.

Another day in Halcyon, another day to appreciate the things he loved. Abruptly ended by the wind and pressure change throwing him to the ground, yep All the things he loved. He stood, rubbing and shaking his head to clear away the impact-fog, it hurt but he was still standing just find so he chalked it up to shock more than anything. Pulling himself from the rubble and rolling the ache out of his arms he watched the figure descent and ran through his memory recalling the visage from the Praetorium.

"Khamsin? Right... now it's coming back to me, you were part of the diorama. You looked... bigger by comparison there." He held up his fingers measuring the villain between them. "Ehh perspectives a b&*!& though and model makers are always making people the wrong sizes."

His tongue flicks trying to find any moisture in the air, but both his scales and tognue find it woefully depleted of any. "You know I've gotta refuse this mark of Ahk'nathal thing. Never really wanted tattoos, besides my folks taught me never to get the name of anyone on me either, incase we break up. And well he kinda sounds like a dick, and so do you."

He laughs and rubs his neck, clicking the emergency beacon button on his comm-collar before putting his arms up ready to defend himself. "So whada'ya say, you gonna fight be with all the power of a super absorbant beach towel or just monologue about how your cult leader is so great? Cause let me tell ya, I'm not a bad fighter, I'm gonna make you wish you brought a sweater, and I don't take orders from self-proclaimed kings."

Indarius begins to dance suddenly, "I uh... don't know if I can move out of the way. The fever is takin' over and I can't stop now."

He shimmies this way and that performing moves that are not typical to Indarius. His wings don't help with the reflecting of various light sources and the wide spread appendages splay the lights out further.

Indarius looks down at himself clad in a stylish 70s smoking jacket with his chest fully exposed and seemingly waxed to a lustrous shine that reflects the disco light in a dazzling way much like the mirrored ball itself. His head quills are splayed this way and that to mimic a spiny afro of sorts. For some present or older staff the outfit might look reminiscent of another older mage from times now gone.

"Well this is.. hmm."

He watches the situation with the various Chroknights, Samantha, Chloe. Andromeda and the disembodied hand which quickly disappears, Gui and Johnny. He lets out a breath he hadn't known he'd been holding finally feeling his chest relax a little. At least as much as he could feel relaxed in this form.

Walking over to the multi-knight situation snapping his fingers in a rhythmic beat he looks to the extra(?) chroknight.

"Look we don't want any issues, you're not the only one who can manipulate time. But we really need 'our' Chroknight back. I know Samantha feels like she's got it all figured out but as someone with experience with time shinanagens... a little too much at this rate. It's basically impossible to tell which is or was or maybe ours so I'm not gonna fight you on the matter."

He tilts his head towards the time ripple barely holding together, "Judging by the strain there we've got about a minute before it either collapses causing more issues, or the wraiths smell something off. Do wraiths smell time? Regardless, Samantha we literally don't have time, Chroknight you need to make a decision now. Normally I'd say don't be hasty, but well tick tock, we're on dance o'clock." He frowns "Oh that's definitely the groovy outfit talking."

Can I burn the hold we got earlier to present an opportunity for my allies?

Indordnance lifts his arm up from the spinning wheel looking to Axolotl with a machine calm unusual for the draconoid. "It seems we have earned the Jackpot."

He pauses before adding a dead-pan "Huzzah!" a small spray of confetti sprays out from his back as it seems some time ago Ordanance may have absorbed a party popper.

Watching out of the corner of his eye at the continued rediculousness that is the agression brought on by Chroknight(s) and Samantha, one of which wasn't typically known for her outbursts.

Tapping into Chroknight's helmet via an absorbed hyper-spectrum signal caster Inordnance explains to both Chroknights in sub-vocalization mode, unable to tell which is which in the moment.

"The Cryo-rejuvenator was the device we failed to secure... safely from being stolen at the museum. Though we did not acquire it ourselves, it was also not stolen at all."

Indordnance had been sitting quietly for the vast majority of the run time for the game so far. Caught in a state between confusion at the absurd nature of these non-questions who's purpose seems to be just to waste time so that Axolotl can hear the sound of their own voice. And also trying to make sense of anything happening in the current situation, including but not likited to getting a sense of how much of his powers were still his and how much was Ordanance.

Finally with a robotic sigh at the floundering of Andromeda turned stage maid, Chroknight turned Yeoman, turned jukebox, turned toaster, turned duplicate all born of impatience, and of Samantha being morphed into some courtroom secretary. With Johnny in the pit and teachers being turned into pelts it was all coming to a head of sorts. He calmly raised a hand.

"I do not wish to submit an answer, I shall leave that for my allies to attempt and inevitably fail. This game seems rigged simply to keep going until you get what you want or get bored of coming up with fitting punishments for failing to correctly answer your nonsensical questions whom's actual answer is up to your whim and whatever your mind deems the answer to be in the exact moment. Short of a mindreader we will be unable to interpret the answers, so this gameshow will remain rather droll and unamusing for all spectators and participants save yourself."

There is a semi-mechanical click as he sets his hand on the table, "So what do you really seek from all of this Axolotl? Do you seek entertainment, a fight, to annoy, or perhaps you seek someone to listen to your ravings and speak your mind so that you aren't alone?"

Indordnance pushes Chroman away at the table, "That's not we don't when have you ever seen us do anything like that except in comics, you know those are fake."

Then they are all at the Wheel of Feuding Jeopardy being asked about aliens and boards. Looking down through the line of the 'Alliance' members he raises a more metallic finger. "I believe I can solve this quandry given that I am from beyond already."

He looks down and slaps the buzzer, odd that everyone at the table has one but hey it's an original gameshow.

Leaning to the mic he speaks, "What is 42."

But if this Star Pharoah is as bad as they say, having a secret weapon could be just what we need. Even if a jewelry store or two gets robbed in the meantime."

Indy laughs in return, "Ahh. Well I'd have to ask Andromeda again, been a bit of a day since we talked about that. Anyway we'll try to keep you up to date. See you around half-pipe."

With that Indy took off again, or at least curved out of the string of drafts onto his own path again. Heading down into Halcyon again. He shifted down into his hybrid form, and landed on the roof of one of the sky scrapers for a bit. Digging out his communicator he checked for messages. Seeing none he set it to play some music, strapped it to the band around his neck and leapt from the tower to soar through the weaving city.

Soaring high over the city to clear his head and avoid the drama that might be a part of the party, Indy does feel some of the anxiety and fear leach from his emotions.

His solitude by being so high above the fray is short-lived, however, when a familiar hero riding an energy board intercepts his flight path and matches his speed. Zooming along effortlessly right next to him, Half-Pipe pulls his shades down briefly to make eye contact.

"You good? Thought you'd be taking it easy after helping save the city from certain destruction!" he calls out. "But patrolling is good too; I definitely enjoy busting some small-time crooks in between world-ending threats."

Flying high above the skyline Indarius finds a calm in the relative silence of the sky. Clear of the fungal menace from beyond, he forgets and floats upon the drafts. A billowing sea of nothing allowing him to drift with his thoughts and the warmth on his back. He could almost fall asleep like this. And for a time his mind wandered to what it must have been like when there were more dragons around.

As Half-pipe approached he came too, a strange sixth sense keying him in before the at the time unknown was danger close. He twisted his head to follow him as the hero pulled next to him.

"Oh.. yeah no this is me taking it easy actually. It's... less up here. Don't have to worry about scaring anyone or at least hearing about it immediately. It's there's a like weird peace that comes with flying as well. I can't really explain it, beyond the quietness there's just a... I dunno."

Unable to shake his head without throwing off his flightpath he rotated it instead. "I'm not on patrol though, not that I wouldn't swoop in if I saw something though. Also not sure I'm ready to deal with the others. Got a bit of a habit with mind altering playing out as nearly or actually killing people."

"Chitin, I did go into the Deathcap. So considering I was at the source of a lot of gnarly gross contamination, I'm going to spend like two hours boiling myself in shower water. Maybe I'll show up after I'm sure there's nothing left."

They look to Indarius. "But you definitely should go and do something fun. Rumpus seems like what everyone who doesn't have to worry about their secret identity are doing," They say, leaning in to whisper in Indarius' ear. "Nobody is going to blame you for stuff you did under the influence of alien fungal spores. But if it makes you feel better, show up in person to apologize to their faces to see for yourself."

They lean back, stretching out their arms above them before turning to look at the city. "Okay, see you in a moment." They're no longer standing there by the time the last words reach Indarius' ears.

His thoughts felt like sludge suffering from the after effects of the spores and his own brain chemistry. So when he finally mystered up a response to Chroknight they were gone.

Pursing his lack of lips as best he could for a moment the large icy eyes rolled to Chitin. "I, don't think I'm up for another dance so soon after the last one. Gonna go spread my wings and get some air."

His head cocks at the loud gun-shot-like bang from Gui. There's a split moment of panic when he sees blood. But everyone seems rather nonchalant about the situation so he supposes it's only an illusion.
"I'll talk to Gui, Abeki, and Halfpipe tomorrow. Give em time to relax from all this."

With a few uttered words his scales and wings slowly shimmer from the top down as a cleansing spell causes all the residual dust, spores, and grime to slough off of him into a puddle where he once stood. With a gallop he flies off into the sky, heading outside of Halcyon's skyline for the remainder of the day.

Feel like Chro treated Indy normally, so clearing a condition(Angry) no powers/ability mention so no potential. Stal's call if avoiding the dance/meeting with anyone at Daedelus counts as running away from something difficult(confronting those he almost hurt immediately), to clear afraid.

Andromeda actually gave me praise, Aquarelle stepped up in a big way, Statian used her brain powers excellently, Joy supported wherever she could. We saved the day. Hope you're enjoying the accomplishments."

They stretch their arms out over their head. "On the other hand, I'm not feeling the whole partying on campus deal. Need to decompress in a different way. What about you?"

Indarius is snapped from his thoughts at Chroknight's approach swinging his head down and over to look at them. "What? Oh.. yeah, you all did really well together. Especially considering how not according to plan everything went."

He looks off towards where the giant spore chunk had landed near Gui, the others, and the responders, also where he had attacked them. "I don't think we have any recordings of it ever trying to actually land though."

Having overheard something about the showers at least he nods to Chro, "I think maybe we should wash off these spores first, Never know if they might reactivate or something, but otherwise yeah not exactly feeling the party on campus myself. So I could use a- well something else."

When Chitin asks about the spores and how it must have been quite the trip he looks away. "I almost crushed Gui and nearly ate Akebi. Soo... I-I really doubt they'd want to see me right now either." He says voice full of worry.

Although Indy is quite dour right now he is celebrating in earnest so. When you share a triumphant celebration with someone, clear one condition if they treat you like a perfectly normal person and mark potential if they praise your power or abilities.

Indarius chases hallucinogenic phantoms overlaid upon his friends and allies, causing the city's defenders to go scrambling for safety! In a desperate ploy, Aquarelle tries to counter the psychedelic shroom trip with his own illusions to make friends to foes and back to friends again!

The wildly discordant images manage to snap Indy out of the worst of the hallucinations, though colors still appear vividly bright and movement strange and trippy to the dragon.

The illusions atop hallucinations scramble Indy enough to get him to think more clearly, and he thinks better about laying frozen waste to the fungal enemies AND his allies. He tries to redirect the blast skyward, the arcane energy already having infused his breath enough that it was too late to simply put a stop to it. He blasts the chilling air upwards above everyone safely then topples backwards as his unsteady footing gives way.

He lays there quietly moaning through the worst of the rapidly oncoming headache. The area slowly being blanketed in a sudden if brief snowfall.

When at last the Deathcap is fully repelled. As everyone begins to gather to celebrate Indarius hangs out in the back of the assemblage as Nimbus gives congratulations.

"That was scary. Worse than the last time it showed up for sure. Those arcane pillars should fade in an hour or so."

Indy saunters off from the group worrying if they'd resent him for attacking them while under the effects of the spore puffs and the insecurity brought on by his susceptibility eating away at him. Which keeps him from being in a peppy celebratory mood. Though most who come over gets a quick curt 'Good job. We did good. Or other such platitudes he looks very troubled.'

High in the sky(Indy vision)

Things were getting heavy and Indarius felt a sudden gust of wind buffet into him freeing him of the spores. He looked over to see Nimbus, good ol' Nimbus must have been his doing. He started to call out in thanks but spotted speed a particularly nasty looking spore floating next to him "Watch out!" He pushed off of the Deathcaps disgustingly spongey surface towards Nimbus as the hero darted down and away to avoid the spore which trailed after with a vibrant curtain of microspores following after. Indarius quickly pivoted and dove in a corckscrew to follow the hero and his tailing foe snapping at it, though the rather pesky spore was unusually dodgy.

High in the sky(Reality)

Indarius struggled to hold push up the weight, though most of the heroic efforts of the group were slowly being patched up by the expanding network of arcane pillars and net across the surface.

Indarius trapped somewhere between furred and scaled, like a dragon half coated in extremely fluffy mushroom tendrils turned to Nimbus, with slavering jaws and let out an agressive roar before lunging at the Wind-manipulating hero who dodged downward followed by the flailing rapid wingbeats and menacing clumsy jaws of Indarius.

"This is so gross," Chitin says as he starts ripping and pulling at the wet, ropy strands of fungus away from the afflicted first responders.

"I don't tink your lights affected the fungus. I tink it hurt de hosts," Abeki tells Aquarelle as she has her psychic constructs help Chitin.

Just then, there's a shout from above everyone's head! "LOOK OUT!!!" Half-Pipe shouts as he zooms past on his energy board! "SOMEONE GET THIS DRAGON BACK TO HIS RIGHT MIND!!"

Following right behind the Herald is Indarius, snapping at him like he was a particularly elusive spore!

What do you do??

Street level(reality)

Indarius broke his descent moments before impact causing a massive downwind as his wings beat against the air. Kicking up residual dust, spores, and broken blacktop chunks right before the dragon landed with a shuddering thud.

He snarled and bayed swiping at invisible foes, before making a gallopin charge towards Aquarelle slamming a dangerous taloned paw down next to him. The attack left a cratered section of crumbling street. "Hnnshabnaaf." Came the gibberish as he shook his head and looked around confused.

Leaving that spot he lunged towards Abeki next whipping around with such speed that his tail swooped a hair over Aquarelle, and several first responder's heads knocking over one of their vehicles and flinging it into a nearby street light.

Barreling overhead of Abeki striking another unseen foe the dragon rolled across the ground uncomfortably tucking to look back at the group and stand on his hind legs unsteadily. "Braaafsnaamm."

Sucking in a massive breath as the area near him began to freeze over.

Street level(Indy vision)

Breaking his descent moments before the spore impacted the ground near all of his friends before he could catch it. The combined wind of his wings and the collision sent a spray of mind-altering spores scattering across everyone causing them to cough worryingly. Indy landed shortly after and looked around noticing that several smaller puffballs had also been created from the impact which he bashed out of the way so they couldn't further infect anyone.

"Not good not good, is everyone okay? Gui!" He watched as Aquarelle struggled against the spores, convulsing his skin and clothes rippling in hard to look at but beautiful patterns. Gotta pin him doen before he can do any harm he thiught as he lunged towards his friend now under the Deathcap's control. His paw came down firmly but gently atop Aquarelle and once he lifted it he saw his friend thankfully knocked out but breathing. But there had been more spores.

"Okay all safe, gotta help the others." He swung his head back to look behind him where many of the other students and aid forces were also writhing against the spore cloud. "No, no, no!"

He whipped around and went after Abeki, stamping on her and deftly rolling over her. Only to turn and see the horror, uncountable spores hovering over everyone.

"Only one option to save them all, hope I can make it cold enough to freeze the spores." He stood tall and took a deep breath.

He was lucky he couldn't sweat from effort, as the effort of such a massive draw of aether showed on his face imemdiately.

After his awkward conversation with Andromeda(tbp)

Indarius approached all the people heading up to the Deathcap proper.

"Alright so, since we're headed high up and likely to be subjected to less than great breathing conditions, I was going to cast a spell on us all to help remedy that. Don't think it'll protect against the spores, it's not quite specific enough for that, but noone will be running short on breath while we're in the mile-high district."

He looked over everyone present, "I can also ferry any non-fliers skyward, but given the group I don't think that'll be a problem."

He gives Gui a very light pat on the shoulder, "You have a better rep with all of Daedelus than all of us combined."

Staying in the mainframe room for a bit he wanted to hear Gui's thoughts before approaching the rest of the team.

Indy throws his hat in again to the conversation outside of the medlab, a nagging feeling chewing behind his horns.

"Well last year it was an all hands on deck situation across the city. I know it's not so simple as a color coordination scheme of danger. But well, yeah." He hums, "Hey Samantha please let me know where that thing'll land when you find out, I'm going to radio Nimbus so he can start coordinating other teams to rally into action."

He heads into the Clocktower to get ahold of Nimbus and appraise him of the situation.

"Well that's some great information to get compared to what we had. Can't say I know about Stallion though, certainly not enough to get a good scry on him. We should see if we can get into contact with anyone who knows his whereabouts better than somewhere in the mountain though, and tell Nimbus."

Indy eventually returns from his room carrying a fiery crimson scale the size of his chest, which he csrefully lays out on the table. "This is the scale of my... uh well it's hard to say arch-enemy considering we've only fought once. I don't really want to actually fight him, I just wanna change his outlook on humans. But this is Drake's scale. Leader of Manticorp, a big red dragon, the one who experimented on Xaiara among other meta-humans. slightly later

"Yeah actually, aside from the time stuff I've got some more info on the Star Pharoah guy. He's got several like lieutenants that he calls his children, and the cult is trying to scrub anyone knowing anything about the whole situation so that he can more easily overthrow the world."

He looks off to his room and scratches his arm nervously for a moment. "And-"

His gaze falls to the table where he firmly places his hands, "He also drags powerful magical creatures and such to his side. I'm not sure by what means and due to my past actions I may have saved us one issue and become the issue myself? Ehh maybe it'll just be easier to show you all. Give me a second."

As the discussion continues and tension ratchets up, in a nearly forgotten corner of Unity Base where some antiquated computer equipment had been pushed out of the way, a cathode-ray tube suddenly flares to life. It begins pulsing a clear white light followed by violet light, and then white again.

Clocking the device in the corner that up until now Indy hadn't noticed, despite all his time in Unity Station over the past two years caught his attention. The building tension in the room distracted him further however and he let out a rough growling sigh.

"Hey!" He spoke to everyone, unintentionally flairing his wings to make himself more present over everyone before calming again.

"Look tensions are high right now, how about everyone take five grab a snack and a drink and we get at this with more level heads?"

Searching his own feelings he was still prickly about what happened to Pru in this tineline as well. Although he felt guilty knowing that in the other it had been Beebee, but she survived. The strange wonder of a small part of him wishing it had still happened as it did before made him feel awful. But he couldn't let that cloud trying to guide the rest back on track.

Chroknight's attention was fully switched from Andromeda to Sam. Their posture was frozen for a moment, and not due to any use of their time powers. "Pru...?"

They came out of their shock as the light began to flash. Striding over to it and glad for the distraction to avoid the conversation, they call out to Indarius. "Hey, is this machine supposed to do this?"

Welcoming Chroknight's transition iver to the device, he took his own advice of stepping away for just a moment.

"Actually, in all my time here I can't say I've ever seen this thing let alone seen it on."

He tapped his chin and tongue flicked the air, then scowled. "And that's far more concerning than it just being inactive this entire time."

Moving forward he placed a hand between it and Chroknight, "Serious charm to hide something from me this long. Let me tinker with it a bit." First he searches for any relevant runes that may indicate further enchantment or a potebtial trap before working his own magic on the thing.

"A bit... harsh to say this timeline is any less real than the last." Indy injects hoping to cut that line of thought off before it got too far ahead.

"Both are real and we exist in both, what happened in both of them affects who we are now. It doesn't help the pain knowing that we aren't on the exact same path we were. But that doesn't make things any less important either."
