ok, great. Starting to get it now. So, just to clarify. Instead of building a character from ALL the cards, you choose 3 Adventure Packs at character creation. These give you a pool of cards forever, and you are only able to build your character from these cards. So, when starting, you have 3 packs and a total of 48 level 0 cards. You use these to build your character? I'm not 100% sure how levelling up works. I guess instead of picking up items and equipment during a game based on what you find, you need to select cards from your adventurers packs instead? ![]()
Hi all, I got the new Core set when it came out, along with CotCT. I've played it a few times (and also done some videos of it on my YT channel (gamingrulesvideos). Anyway, it's been a long time since I've played and have been wanting to find time to get back into it and I found out tonight that there is an official TTS mod. So I loaded it up and started reading the how-to guide and have to admit, I got a bit lost. Can someone help me understand what are Class decks, Adventure decks, Ultimate Add-Ons? I found a PACS guide which had a section in it saying "To build a character, you’ll need a Class Deck. A Class Deck is an accessory for the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game that contains 3 or 4 characters to choose from, plus the cards you’ll use to play one of those characters for an entire campaign." I don't have any of these. Is this specifically for organised play and I can just go ahead and ignore it if I want to just play the game with friends.
Thanks all! ![]()
Yeah, I get that, but it's the little things. Like the Troubador is a Halfling, not a Human, so I want to photoshop the card so that it says Halfling. Currently, I've crossed it out and written Halfling on with a sharpie, but it's not ideal.
Knowing what the fonts are would be good. I found an old thread with what they were in the old game. I think Dax is still in use, but not sure about the main font for card text. ![]()
I also found it surprising that no reprint is planned, and I wonder if this was meant literally. It is very common in boardgame publishing to do a reprint of a game after the initial print run. In fact, it can be good to keep the initial "low" so that all the errors can be fixed in future prints. But I don't know how many printed, or how many have sold. If they printed 100k and have only sold 1k, then yeah, maybe there will never be a reprint. Either way, I still really want to have "fixed" cards somehow - and I'm happy to create these myself and print them off myself, but I was hoping there would be a way to do it without having to go through the manual process of scanning in the cards and fixing them manually myself. ![]()
ok, thanks. In which case, if I ask nicely, is there any chance I can get the original jpg images to save scanning in the cards. I know this is something not normally done, but I work full-time in the games industry, so its 'safe'. Can you drop me a private message on here, or contact me through my website www.gaming-rules.com. Thanks :) Vic Wertz wrote: There are currently no plans to reprint any products for this line. So, the core set has a bit of errata. I've currently made notes on my card with a sharpie, but it isn't ideal. What I'd like to do is mess around with photoshop and actually incorporate the errata into the cards. This would require:
Now, before I do, I wanted to post here to ask if someone from Paizo can answer this - will these cards be fixed in a future print run? If so, is there any way I could get access to the images for the fixed cards so I can print them out and put them in sleeves. This will save me a day of photoshopping :) Thanks :) ![]()
So, I just did my first live solo playthrough of the game.
Also, I had a rules question in the game about the blessing that allows you to discard a card to reroll a 1 or 2. Can I use this power more than once in a turn? https://youtu.be/7ukQNpC7q3o ![]()
My addition to this:
I've sleeved all the cards with clear sleeves. Then I noticed the issue, some are a definite brighter orange, some are a darker red. I initially thought that it won't matter much until I started playing and when a Villain gets mixed into the other henchmen / proxy cards and it's easy to tell them apart, then it is an issue. Should I contact customer service, or is this just one of those things? ![]()
Thanks for that. I got the bit where he was feeding his own pockets, but that's a million miles away from us fighting and defeating him in combat.

Thanks for the reply Vic. Am I being really stupid here? Is this text somewhere in the story? I might have missed the part where the party work out he is up to no good (how do they do this?), but it just seems very odd that we end up fighting and defeating him, and then in the text afterwards, there is no reference to this at all, he's just back as the boss of the caravan and blaming us. No mention about the fact that we just defeated him in combat. Am I looking too much into this? I really wanted the story to fit with what was happening in the game. ![]()
I think I might be being a bit stupid, but please help me out. Rumble Road, you are protecting the caravan. The caravan master is Silas Gribb - your boss. But then... you get attacked by Dire Wolves, and the Villain is... Silas Gribb?
What am I missing here? |
