Also, for the Waves Oracle, Freezing Spells revelation, there is Cold Ice Strike, which is a solid spell on it's own.

Just wanted to throw in that Clerics/Oracles get Spiritual Weapon/Spiritual Ally as [Force] spells, so there are some reasonable (though not great) options for Toppling Spell.

A Toppling Spiritual Weapon is a pretty decent persistent battlefield control for a 3rd level spell, and I've seen a Toppling Spiritual Ally be pretty amusing as well at higher levels with its multiple attacks and ability to AOO trip.

It's no Toppling Magic Missile, but it's usable.

Hello all,

I had a quick question about the Experimental Spellcaster feat for the Words of Power system.

The Feat:

Experimental Spellcaster

Despite casting spells, you dabble in the art of wordcasting.

Prerequisites: Ability to cast spells.

Benefit: Select one class that grants you the ability to cast spells. You can now use the slots from that class to cast a limited number of words of power spells. Add all of the target words to your spell list and your spellbook, familiar, or list of spells known. In addition, add the boost meta word and one effect word of any level you can cast in the chosen class.

Special: You can take this feat multiple times. Each additional time you select this feat, add two effect or meta words to your spellbook, familiar, or list of spells known.

Looking at the wording (and searching around for a bit) there doesn't appear to be any restriction that the effect word you choose to learn be on your class list.

Would this allow for things like Arcane Casters being able to take Healing words?

If so, for words that have multiple levels depending on class (ie level 4 for a Cleric, level 5 for a Druid), what level would the wordspell be added to your spells known list as?
