This has been a major issue for me too.
I would MUCH prefer their video games be original stories (preferably not on Golarion at all but another planet in the setting) as Wrath and Kingmaker have been massive spoilers for various aspects of the setting that I have wanted to reveal as surprises.
"And you find out X!"
"Oh, I already knew that because of the video games."
It is cool that the video games have been successful in bringing people into the PF hobby but I have definitely had some issues with their existence.
