Slothsy, and Those in the Game,
I’ve come to a point in my life where cutting back on my gaming is needed. One of my grandfathers is in late-stage Alzheimers, and the other is dying of cancer. Additionally, my dreams of graduate school are on hold at the moment and I need to refocus on real life. I’m in a number of games, and will continue playing in some of them, but I have to cut back. Unfortunately, this is one of the games I’ve chosen to cut back on.
I’ve had issues playing Pandora for a while, and I’ve expressed those issues. While you’ve all been nothing but accommodating, I feel like my lack of focus on this game has been a detriment to it, and don’t want to hold it back.
I’ve enjoyed playing with all of you, especially in this unique game, and I hope to play with you again at some other time. Unfortunately, this isn’t the right time for me. Thanks for the opportunity. Please move me to inactive.
I'm sorry,
Pandora

Are we to Round Two, then?

Antika crashes through the underbrush, back rolling from one side to the other, and it becomes clear that Pandora couldn't have stayed mounted if she wanted to. His maw gapes wide, and he bites down at the nearest bugbear.
Antika Charge Bite: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Antika Bite Damage?: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Action is Charge! Antika's AC is 13 until next turn. Will use Vehemence's song.
==========
Pandora moves forward to within range of the bugbears now threatening her Eidolon. As she arrives, she points a finger at the nearest (undamaged) one and fires a ray in its direction.
Ray of Sickening?: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Move: Move closer, Standard: Ray of Sickening. Will ignore Vehemence's song.
Retired
Pandora lowers an arm to let Macario onto her shoulder. "I *yawn*...I suppose so." She starts walking toward the bugbear, quite reluctantly, taking care not to scratch herself on too many of the branches and twigs nearby.

Knowledge (nature, untrained): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Antika Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21
Looking at the thing in the cave entrance, Pandora blinks once and climbs off Antika, walking the other way. "Nope, nope, nope. This isn't what I signed up for at all. That'd be a bugbear, and I don't want to know what my insides look like." She looks down at her stomach, then back at the bugbear pointedly.
Antika looks at the cave entrance just long enough for Pandora to dismount before squirming toward the beast. As he approaches, he glances up at the rocks above the cave and Pandora hears giggling from above. It sounds like Orin Warren.

Antika watches the byplay between the two fey, sliding up to the grasshopper-woman and attempting to lick her. Pandora, meanwhile, hangs on grimly. "I-*yawn*-apologize, miss. He's got a mid all his own. Believe me, I'd rather be back at home asleep, but he drags me and pushes me." Antika takes the opportunity to shake violently, causing Pandora to fall into the dirt.
Retired
Antika follows the sticks, grabbing them and bringing them back to Ameratsu. When Orin Warren mentions going, he stops fetching sticks and nudges and bumps Pandora until she groans and crawls onto his back.
Retired
Pandora yawns, stretched out on the ground with her head leaned against Antika's side. "I would have guessed a storm. A strong enough storm will break what they build, and storms always build on the horizon."
Retired
It's not that I don't like her so much as it is that she's not active, and I think it's hurting the game. When I designed her, I knew this could be an issue.

I'm around. It's kind of hard to make things move with Pandora, though. I keep reading the thread, and the best IC option is to not say anything. I think she's a cool concept, but maybe not right for actual play. I may look into a different character, with the GM's permission.
Retired
I've recently become aware that today is "GM's Day". Thanks for running this! Also, I've assumed Macario has a plan and I'm just letting him execute it.
Retired
That looks like a typo to me. Just a guess.

Antika watches the proceedings with great curiosity, while Pandora yawns and leans against his side, staring at the sky. Suddenly, her head bounces against the ground as Antika slides away to get closer to the fight.
Retired
No problem, life happens. I'm monitoring the thread, but it seems this duel doesn't really need a post from me at the moment.
Retired
I'll be away from the internet from Friday until Monday. Just a heads-up.

Pandora will take first watch. Well, actually, Antika will take first watch, but Pandora will stay awake for it.

Antika Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
As Pandora walks through the thicket, she suddenly sees through Antika's eyes. A pile of leaves is lit up from below. She suddenly feels nausous as her eidolon lurches forward and begins digging through the pile.
"Antika, stop! Whatever's in there wants to be left alone..."
==========
At Sher Khan's words, Pandora nods gratefully.
Retired
Antika Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Antika, too busy chasing birds, doesn't see whatever it is, and Pandora can't be bothered, though she does look at the bushes occasionally to see if Antika's coming back.
Pandora can't make a DC 25 on a nat. 20, so no roll is needed.
Retired
Yeah. Besides, 'tika would kill both of you at the same time!

Dex Check! (15): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Pandora bobbles the box before getting a hold of it. She shoots Vehemence a glare and tucks it back into the safety of her pack.
"It seems to me that you have lost something, Ameratsu. You don't seem very balanced to me..."
Retired
Pandora seems to perk up as Vehemence asks about her story.
"I was a star. A star...There was a whole story, a story of a king with a beautiful, but foolish, wife. He was given a box for safe-keeping and told never to open it." She digs through her bag and produces the box. "All I had to do was open the box, but I don't seem to be interested enough in what's inside to do so anymore." She hands the box to Vehemence. It's a beautiful box, light yet strong, made from alder and covered with silver engravings and embossing. A tiny lock holds it shut."So, I was fired, and I came here."
She looks jealously at Macario and gazes off in the direction Antika squirmed off in, hoping he'll return so she can ride again.

I'm sure you could ask for a ride, Mister Mouse!

Antika slithers along, and after chasing after squirrels and birds for the tenth or eleventh time, Pandora has had enough of it. She dismounts and walks near the Rabbit Prince, listening to him tell his tale. Unbidden, her experience wandering the Churlwood enters her mind. Meanwhile, Antika slides off, following the tracks off of the trail, through some thickets, and out of Pandora's sight. "'tika? Come back, Antika. You don't know what's behind those bushes..."

Anything you haven't used before (or used in a while) would be fine. It's not an issue yet except I'm used to moving things along with curiosity or determination, but Pandora as a character is never going to be more than a follower. As long as others are more dynamic, it'll be fine.

Antika wriggles and slides off toward Pandora's house, and when he returns, Pandora is mounted on his back, wearing a pack filled with her equipment. "Okay, I guess I'm ready. *yawn*
Whoops, haven't calculated equipment yet. I'll have it figured out by tomorrow, I promise!
Retired
Yeah, I'm having a rough time figuring out Pandora's posts. She doesn't have any curiosity, so she can't move the game forward very effectively. It's an issue.

As Antika begins rubbing against both Ameratsu and Vehemence, Pandora lifts her head and points to the silvery eel-thing. "That's Antika. 'tika for short. I'm Pandora. Good to meet you all too."
Retired
I was wondering how you handled her emotions. I thought you might be rolling a d10 or something.
Retired
Antika moves toward the shouting, crying woman and begins rubbing against her legs, not unlike a gigantic, legless cat. While he does, Pandora hangs on and speaks. "I s'ppose 'tika wants to go with you, and he can't go without me, so I'll join you."

Pandora tries as hard as she can, but sleep is elusive, and eventually she signals Antika to pick her up and take her home. Instead, he picks her up an returns to the Rabbit Prince, to stand near the center of the room.
"No, 'tika. I said no adventures..."

Nestled in her corner, Pandora does her best to fall asleep, but Antika moves closer and closer to the conversation and the Rabbit Prince's words pound louder and louder in her head. After a few minutes, Antika squirms back to Pandora and starts nudging her to the conversation. A few more nudges and a shove with his tail, and Pandora finds herself in the center of the growing crowd. Because it's an expected question, and because Antika's rubbing against her and almost knocking her over, she asks.
"Well...*yawn*...what d'you think we should do 'bout it? I've got no desire t'find out what happened to me, anywa-ooph!" Another shove from Antika convinces Pandora to get back on track. "I mean...yawn...did you find any new information?" Her speech is slurred, the speech of someone who just woke up, and she speaks as if not expecting a response. As soon as she's finished, she marches back to her corner and feigns sleep. Antika stays around for any response the Rabbit Prince may care to give.

Alright, we waiting on Tree of Life? I went into her posting history, and she hasn't posted anything since the fourth. She may have dropped off the boards. A real shame, since I lost out on a slot in a Rise of the Runelords game to one of her characters, and I was looking forward to playing with her.
Maybe replace her?

Six feet long and with a jaw the size of a crocodile, Antika is an imposing view. The silvery-white serpent slides his way down the street, occasionally wriggling to the side to sniff at a bush or examine a light-pole. At the same time, his movements are determined and purposeful. He's heading toward the Compert's Call, on his way to hear the Rabbit Prince's stories. With Antika comes a reluctant second guest.
Everything about the girl riding on Antika seems grey and listless, from her hair and skin to her energy. Sometimes Pandora falls asleep for a few moments when her eidolon falls into the right rhythm, but inevitably, Antika finds something new and exciting to see and wakes her up. She yawns loudly, shuts her eyes against the light and the movement of another day, and complains quietly. "'Tika, why today? 'S supposed to be my day off adventure today..." Ever since arriving, anything more than getting a drink of water is 'adventure' to Pandora, and the Compert's Call is certainly more than she bargained for on her day off.
Antika slides his way into the tavern, takes a playful snap at Mr. Softshoes, and drops Pandora in a nice corner. He slides through the tavern, listening for any interesting stories from outside Caesure, while she, though feigning sleep, listens through his ears.

Thanks for the selection, it should be a fun game!
Pandora's hair and skin have both gone an ashen-grey color, and her eyes seem dull and hooded all the time. She stands shorter than even the gnomes in the town, and her appearance is almost childlike. She's never seen around town without a long, eel-like creature, and rumor has it that it's the only thing keeping her from starving to death.
Not so good at the one-sentence thing...
EDIT: Are we free to post in the gameplay thread?
Pandora doesn't mind if she's not picked. She's not curious about the campaign anyways...
In the interest of compiling all submitted characters in one place, here's a list.

The Doomkitten: Doctor Who (Humanoid/Investigator)
Zach W.: Ameratsu of the Sun (Animal/Druid)

Me'mori: Jairdan Wynne (Elemental/Paladin)
Mahorfeus: Kaguya-hime (Humanoid/Oracle)
Johnnycat: Macario the Mouse (Animal/Wizard)
If there are any submissions I missed, please let me know.
I'm glad you approve. Were there any suggestions for improvement? I don't have access to any of the source material (assuming there's any), so I was working very much in the blind, just off of the setting you described.
Yeah, that RP was a blast. Ranna's still sitting around waiting for a RotRL spot to open up in a game.
I have rough drafts for everything up in this alias. I will almost certainly change things before the due date, but it's a start. Also, no hard feelings about it, Johnnycat. Multiple similar submissions are just part of the recruitment process.
