It is, though I really wanted a big ass hammer =) lol. Also, I want the character to have a high charisma score, especially considering alot of his abilities need it. Surely the high charisma could be a representation of his strong sense of self righteousness (I imagined it radiating from him in such a strong way that anyone evil around him feels very uncomfortable), not necessarily being handsome or easy to negotiate with. Thats how I was kind of seeing it anyway.
So, were gona be starting a game this weekend, may just be a one shot, we were going to decide afterwards. Anyway, I usually play the healer of the party. Last time I played I went with a war cleric, and I really loved it. I wanna switch it up this time though, so I decided to go with a Paladin. The thing is, the typical old good guy just doesnt scream to me as a fun character concept. After a little thought, and flipping through the ultimate toolbox (great book btw, for those interested), I decided on something that seemed fun. First, the character is a tall, massive, albino human with long white hair pulled back in a ponytail (going for a two handed weapon theme). He also doesnt speak very much, as in, when he does speak its a rare occurrence. He prefers to let his actions speak for him, and often communicates through body language. The iffy part I wanted to include was his attitude towards evil. To be blunt, any evil that existed in the world he would want to destroy, in a very cold, uncaring, inflexible type way. The idea for his attitude does seem very fun for me, but I get the feeling its closer to LN than LG, think I could pull it off without breaking the guidelines for LG?
Another situation that came up last night. We were fighting some worgs who had trip as part of their attack. Does that mean if we got hit by the worgs that we automatically got tripped? The DM rolled again after we got hit to see if theyre trip attempts were successful. Also, under trip, it sais if you fail a trip attempt by more than 10, that you are tripped instead. Would that be possible in this type of situation? Thanks in advance.
Well, the DM informed us that we caught a disease and made us aware of the onset time. That may be a lesson learned =) Our group is fairly new to Pathfinder. Also, the DM ruled that the save happened as soon as we woke up, which would imply that the wizard did not even have a chance to prepare spells before the roll. Is there anywhere in the rules that details the exact time of day (or general idea) of when a player is supposed to make that kind of saving throw? Also, for future note, im sure the DM will not tell us we are diseased ahead of time in future scenarios =) lol.
Say your PC caught a disease and it had an onset of 1 day. Last night we encountered that situation, and a PC in question wanted to borrow a cloak of resistance from another player before he made his save. The DM did not allow this. Afterwards the player (A wizard) asked if he could cast resistance before he made the save. The DM also denied him that. Whats the real ruling? I tried to look it up, but ive not found anything. Thanks in advance.
Like the subject said, looking for a gaming group in this area. I actually live in a small town called Inez, Ky. Anything in the Ashland, Huntington, or east of Lexington areas would work. I like a more serious game, so if you have a beer and pretzel type group id rather pass (already have one of those at home lol). Know it's a shot in the dark but I figured it couldn't hurt to try. Thanks for any replies in advance =) |
