So, the adopted trait allows you to choose a racial trait from a different race. Specifically, it seems to require you to do so. Human ethnicities have specific race traits as well. So my question is: Can a human say they were adopted by a human family of a different ethnicity and thus choose a racial trait for human but with the different ethnicity requirement. For example: A varisian human takes adopted and chooses a shaonti only trait (Shoanti Spirit-Singer, for example http://archivesofnethys.com/TraitDisplay.aspx?ItemName=Shoanti%20Spirit-sin ger).

This question would probably also apply to an Aasimar or Tiefling choosing a trait from a different heritage.

Tl;DR - Does human ethnicity or aasimar/tiefling heritage count as a race for the purpose of the Adopted trait?

I'm making an arcane dualist bard after reading that bards can cast with a shield. But upon looking this up online I have yet to find a definitive explanation as to what this means. It's my understanding that with a Buckler I could already cast but I would lose my AC Bonus granted by my shield. Would this still apply for a Bard? What about heavier shields?

For example, say I used a light shield. My understanding is that, while I could still cast I would lose my AC bonus from the shield? Or could I keep the AC bonus because I'm specifically able to cast with a Shield?

Currently I'm trying to set my character up with a heavy shield but what's to stop someone from gaining tower shield proficiency and casting behind that? (other than the annoyance of the shield itself)

I've found many thread on nearly similar topics regarding clerics and a few that bring up this ability but this specific question is usually passed over.

Quick question for everyone. I don't have the unchained book so I can't verify this through there but On Hero Lab I purchased the Unchained content. I was trying to make a character for one of my campaigns and I decided, since catfolk rogues were always fun I'd try the new class with one. I then noticed that the Vicious Claws Rogue Talent wasn't on the unchained rogue talents list. Actually none of the catfolk only rogue talents are on the list. Is this on purpose or just an error on Hero Labs part? If it's on purpose would anyone be able to explain why it isn't available?
