So I doubt I'm the only person insane enough to notice that the wording on the special part of Spelldrinker is a little ambiguous.
War of Immortals p. 63 emphasis mine wrote: You temporarily add a 3rd-rank spell to your spell repertoire, as determined by the type of creature whose blood you just drank (see table below). If the creature has more than one of the listed traits, choose one and gain the appropriate spell. If the granted spell is not on your chosen tradition’s list, you cast the spell as though it was from your chosen tradition. The spell is removed from your spell repertoire after 24 hours, the next time you use Spelldrinker, or when you next make your daily preparations, whichever comes first.
Special If you have Surging Blood Magic, you can add the spell at 6th rank. If you have Exultant Blood Magic, you can add the spell at 8th rank.
Combine that with my own special brand of brain problems
Book of the Dead p. 50 | Lich Dedication, emphasis mine wrote: Prerequisites: expert in Crafting; living creature, ability to cast 6th-level or higher spells from spell slots, completed ritual to become a lich and crafted a soul cage So with that said and acknowledging that this might disappear with an errata just by me posting about it. (Paizo pls don't) Is there a reason a 12th level bloodrager with Spelldrinker and Surging Blood Magic couldn't preform the ritual to become a lich? Even if it's only for 24 hours, this would be a really cool (deranged) way to make a barbarian lich. Something I've always wanted to do just because you really really shouldn't even consider it as a valid option.
I'm curious if anyone has stated out or has a stat block for Sovereign dragons pre "vague forbidden ritual" that made them the best imperial dragons. Got a campaign going in 2e that is including the imperial dragons as part of the elemental cycle and was hoping to include Sovereigns as Metal/Earth dragons.
Failing that, maybe just some earthen or metal abilities that could replace the mental ones for them in their respective part in the cycle while increasing the CR of the other Ancient Imperials to bring in line with the Sovereign. How would y'all go about this?

I'm not here involved in the forums and discussions just because of the systems. Finding the Paizo forums led me to becoming genuinely happy for the first time in my life, I had found purpose, I had found friends, I had found family, all of it interwoven together.
I have my subscriptions as a way to support the people who I look up to and admire, the editors, the artists, the freelancers, and what they do. If I just wanted the rules I wouldn't have to pay anything, I could just use Archives of Nethys and you wouldn't see a cent from me.
I have my subscriptions to support the people making the books and to voice "Hey, we need more of this!" (I am terribly lacking in writing reviews though, and that needs to be alleviated), similar to being a patron on Patreon. The people actually pushing for awesome things, for good things, to make theirs and other's dreams come true, I wish to support. The writings espouse inclusiveness and joy and fantasy and supporting that I am more than glad to do. More inclusiveness please, it's not a quota, keep going.
You take that away however, you take them away however, and there's no reason for me to continue supporting this company with my wallet, or for me to be here.
I can see I wasn't the only who read that thread and I agree with Rysky completely. I wish there was a way to show how much I appreciate Sara and Diego's extreme time, effort (and who are we kidding, stress) in working Customer Service and with us, the players, on these forums.
Imo I think only really Knowledge is Power and Mastermind would by RAW be synergistic. I think cases could be made for lore oracle and Monster Hunter. I'd allow them in my games but as for RAW I think it needs "When you..." since it's a special action, to truly work together.

This was inspired by watching some of Treantmonks content. I realise I need to explain how Control works in PF2. It's sailing over the head of new players.
Basically keeping some enemies distracted or neutralised for a few rounds so you can take them on a few at a time, is normally the best tactic for a caster.
Comments welcome.
Thank you Paizo for a game with lots of options.
Big fan of the additions, I think the recommendations are great but the explanations will go a long way for newer players looking for advice. PF2 Casting does take some getting used to whether you're coming from 1st Edition or 5e and this helps tons.
Do you plan on adding your thoughts on the two new bloodlines or are you waiting to do a big update once SoM drops?

You pick some feats/arcana from list one and some from list two. There are very little feats that an assault Magus needs, so he can swap them out. Nor do the sample builds need one specific archetype; for instance, my current maneuver Magus is an eldritch scion, not a hexcrafter.
Just swap out anything in the sample builds for anything rated green or blue in the guide, and you're good.
Btw I would not recommend investing feats/traits in both Frostbite and shocking grasp; just pick the one you like best. HTH.
Good to know, I greatly appreciate the help. Stay safe!

Hey Kurald,
I've been reading your magus guide for the past few days, and I'm about to make a Magus for a game and I was interested in playing a Hexcrafter Bladebound Magus. I've looked at both your Assault Magus and the Maneuver Magus examples. I'm curious if you wouldn't happen to have an idea or example of the two crossed?
I'm not sure if going dex would be too difficult to also fit in with all the feats Assault also needs. I'm a much bigger fan of Frostbite over Shocking Grasp, though I like the idea of debuffing until going in for the kill with a nova. I was planning on going elf, and my DM is giving us three traits at the start though one has to be a Social, Religion, or Family.
My current thoughts are to take a Trait for Frostbite and the other for shocking grasp, continuing normally with Weapon Finesse and Dervish, into Enforcer and Rime but instead of getting Extra Arcana, to get Intensify instead?
If nothing else, I'm just curious how you'd play both Archetypes at the same time in one character. Either way I appreciate all the work you've put in to make a great magus guide over the years and I hope you're staying safe and healthy.
