Killer

It's been a week with no word. I take it we're dead?

Killer

With the rocket launcher not a threat for the moment, Nikki steps out from behind the table for a better shot, still covering the monster while casually dropping another clambering mook.

Beretta - Carnival of Carnage: 1d6 - 1d6 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (4) - (2) + 15 + 2 = 19

Killer

Nikki squeezes off another shot at the one who's yelling to Fidel.
Beretta - Carnival of Carnage : 1d6 - 1d6 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (2) - (2) + 15 + 2 = 17

As his target drops, Declan goes rushing by and Nikki pales, a revolver coming into his other hand and covering it, but not quite pulling the trigger before realizing the creature seems to be stalking the attackers.
Madness. Or hallucination? No matter. The guns are real.

Whatever the shot cost for pulling the second pistol, I'm sure I'll want it out shortly anyway.
Also, if there's still an active dodge rule, I'll use it to dive for cover if that rocket launcher points my way.

Killer

As the explosion goes off and gunfire rings out, Nikki finds himself flat against the wall by the door to the pool. Crouching down, he sneaks a glance around the door just as Jazz goes rushing through. Deep breath and he follows, a quick dash to meager cover behind a flipped table, snapping off a shot at a mook coming through the hole as he goes.

Beretta - Carnival of Carnage : 1d6 - 1d6 + 15 + 2 ⇒ (3) - (6) + 15 + 2 = 14
One shot to move and 2 to fire.

Just to be clear here - we're all starting in the main area, the action is all in the pool area with baddies clambering through the hole from the street to the pool, right?
So to get to them, we need to move to the pool room (1 shot) then 3 more to get over the rubble if we want to get outside.

Also, I don't have the books and I'm not sure how the stats on my guns work - they're listed as something like 10/2/3, but I don't know what the numbers mean.

Killer

Nikki stares for a moment, struggling to place the face, then shakes his head, but follows towards the door anyway.

Killer

Nikki prowls the edges of the hall, watching the crowds and especially the stage, looking for someone who might trigger a memory. It was a long shot, but in the bad old days the Order had controlled politicians. He might spot a familiar handler. Not a lot of other leads to follow and there had to be something dirty in a project like this in this neighborhood.
Plenty of money and corruption, if the cheap thugs were any sign, but nothing interesting yet.
At least one of the old drops had still been intact and he had access to one of his old numbered accounts. With cash, it wasn't hard to find a dealer and be properly armed again.

Killer

Finally had a chance to get to this. Sorry it took so long.

Basically set.
Since we've got a full time Driver, can I swap out Drive for Intrusion? Got to get into places to kill people. :)

Killer

Sorry, it's been a ridiculous week. These are the basic mechanics. I'll fix the formatting, get the background and stuff together and make the final tweaks this weekend.

On booze:
Because most people who grow up watching an alcoholic parent destroy their life with alcohol aren't really in their right mind when they start. Often they start drinking young to help cope with the trauma from the alcoholic parent. The tendency towards addiction is passed genetically, but the behavior is learned. And while self-medication is usually disastrous in the long run, in the short run it helps you cope when you don't have other alternatives.

As someone without any family history of alcoholism, I enjoy a drink occasionally, but rarely to the point of drunkenness. Haven't smoked pot in a long time though. Mostly I don't like the actual smoking part of it. Brownies, on the other hand...
Wrestling this back on topic, pot tea is a thing. Apparently works better steeped in milk, since THC is more soluble in fat than in water. If my state ever gets around to legalizing it for recreational use, I'll probably try that.

Currently making myself a nice hot cup of a Ceylon Green OP1.

I am a Britlandshirer, so tea is a fundamental part of my culture & upbringing. Not drinking the stuff would mark me as a) weird and b) probably foreign. I am weird, of course, but tea-drinking helps to camouflage that.

Gen-mai cha is nice. Must try to get hold of some. There's the roasted stuff as well - can't remember what that's called, though...

Actually, the gen mai cha might be roasted, not toasted.

I order most of my tea from Upton (free plug!). Their catalog has long included a series on tea history, which is currently in a long digression on the America's Cup races, since Sir Thomas Lipton made a number of challenges for the Cup, at least partly as a PR move for his tea.

Currently drinking Gen-mai cha, which is a Japanese green tea with toasted rice in it to give it something of a nutty flavor.

I think the point is that it's the same blueberry flavor you get in blueberry cupcakes, with the other additions you get in the cupcakes, rather than just blueberry flavor.

Currently drinking a Goji-Acai green tea. Because I like the fruit flavors, not for any super-fruit health reasons. :)

Hope you guys like peeing all the time.

Gives me an excuse to get up and away from the desk. And get another cup of tea.

A sweet almond green tea from Upton this time.

For this morning, a Vanilla black tea, with just a bit of honey.
