My parents will be in town this weekend, so a lot of my time will be spent with them. On top of that, I'll be GMing the entirety of the Ruby Phoenix Tournament from 8am to 10pm Friday at a local con (Yep! Same one as GM. Small world!), so I will very likely be unable to post Friday, and the possibility of posting Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are still up in the air. In my Player games, please bot where necessary. In my GM games, thank you for your continued patience. I REALLY hope everything goes back to normal come Tuesday.

Nia approaches the stone carefully, and though she gets quite close she nearly kicks the stone as she falls into the ash. fire damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3

She then lets out a gutteral scream before shouting "IT BURNS US!"

If that doesn't kill it, Nia fires a shot from her crossbow to aid the next attacker.

...It's not very effective.

Nia's voice takes on that of a soft-spoken cleric as she utters, "May the light of Sarenrae empower you."

Nope, all set, well other than.

Nia turns to the goblin and in perfect sing song goblin-ish common she says "Good song, Dragbog!" And until she reaches the village, she continues to allow the minor goblin soul to inhabit her thoughts, though she stays perfectly conscious of her actions.

Nia double moves to get into a more opportune position without staying too close to the fire. As she moves, her voice takes a soothing, almost druidic voice: "Be careful. A cornered, dying animal is more deadly than one simply fighting for its dinner."

"Those creatures look hungry. Be sure to watch your six." she says, suddenly switching into the demeanor of a war-torn soul.

Nia, however, only draws her crossbow and waits for a better shot.

"The spirits make it difficult to sleep without restraining myself; I've been told I twitch and convulse throughout the night. To avoid scaring all of you off, I shall also take a watch. Preferrably a mid one. It takes a few hours for the spirits to begin their attempted possession."

"We just travelled. There's nothing I need. Let's be on our way."

"I believe that's within our skill set." Nalaia says as she bows gracefully TO THE BEAR, and nods to both the female and the goblin. "To think I thought we'd be goblins slaying today, and now we're going to be following it. Today's just full of surprises, and..." Her voice takes on many tones, one of a Mwangi man, one of an Andorran, and one of a Tian, on top of her own, "...WE LIKE SURPRISES! Hey, no. Go away. This is my body." As she begins shouting at herself, the voices slowly dissipate until the last word is in her regular voice. "Sorry about that. My communing with the spirits gets a little odd sometimes."

It's at this point you notice a small white rabbit poking out of her cloak. She tucks it in a bit further and says, "Where to, Dragbog?"

Nia attempts to help clear out the undergrowth and move the trees, specifically going where the Amenian Man tells her to.

Nia draws her crossbow as she steps forward. "It is true. We are here to help!"

Nia readies an action to fire her crossbow if one of the centaurs approaches with hostile intent.

"Trust me, Armenian Dude, you don't want spirits, especially those of gods, walking around. This one I've heard is tame though. If its Goblins we need to take care of, then that's what we do. It's all the same to me: a bunch 'a things with souls to take up space in my head."

Nia is a sickly, grey outsider with sunken eyes, green and blue hair, and a crooked smile. Her voice croaks out, barely vocalizing, but strangely loud. "The name's Nia. I'm approached by spirits daily, and have learned some of their ways. Allow me to be useful as a healer, trap disabler, and caller of ancient gifts."

She doesn't care much for the letter, allowing somebody else to read it. Shes watched too many things she's touched die, so she doesn't want that to happen to the already messed up letter.

"If the crew's like this," Nia says, gesturing to the room, "I'll have to take some time to think about it. Even though this drink was amazing....." She guzzles the remainder of her drink and tries to sneak out.

"IF these people really do pay well, I'll consider joining your little fantasy squadron. But, they have to know I'm...possessed. Maybe they can cure it?" Nia flourishes her blue dress before taking the recently made drink. Her eyes flash in amazement as she takes a drink. "Oh Pharasma, that was delicious! Is that fig?" She finishes the drink as quickly as possible before demanding another. "If these people pay well, I'm sold. Their alcohol is amazing!"
