Nerek hefts is crossbow, checking to make sure the bolt is securely in place before anyone opens the door.
Spot check to spot anything obivously hostile once the door is open: d20 + 2 = 13

Nerek lets Laurent keep the scroll, and makes a mental note to ask him about the skull later.
"Yes, let's move on."

Holding the book close, Nerek sprints from the library.
Fort: d20 + 3 = 12, 5 (is the secondary roll necessary?)
Nerek coughs a bit, before turning his attention back to the book. "What's this?" He draws the scroll from the book, and looks over it. "I think its a spell of some kind."
Since Nerek doesn't doesn't have any ranks in spellcraft, I won't bother with a check. If someone else wants to look at the scroll, he'll hand it over.

Nerek will retrieve the book, and browse its contents.

Nerek will step into the library, staying away from the fungus and water and make a quick check to look for any religious symbols.

Nerek advances, staying behind Calar at all times, crossbow at the ready.

"Shall we go in?" Nerek asks.

Nerek shifts uncomfortably, before scratching is nose.
"Then I guess we should get what we came for and get out of here then," he says.
Taking a firm grip on his crossbow, he marches over to the monastery entrance and tries to open the door.

Nerek whispers to Calar, "You think this thing might still be around?"

"No, no the forges will not be in the tower. They'll be in the main structure, probably a level or two underground."
Nerek will check the body to determine what killed the poor man as well.
d20 + 6 (saving the kit for later) = 18

Nerek approaches quietly.
"My the great road be kind to your soul," he says quietly over the dead body.
Move Silently: d20 +1 -6 = 3

Nerek searches for tracks around the gate.

"The court yard looks empty," Nerek says to the others, but he still waits for someone else to actually enter first. He'll spend the time visually searching to see if he can see any tracks leading through the gateway.
Does that need a second spot check?

Nerek will walk up to the wall and take a peek through the main entrance.

"Yes, I believe you are correct," Nerek says as he looks at the various smashed bits.
He sighs before continuing.
"But we didn't come here for a history lesson, unfortunately."
Nerek gives the statues a last longing look, before following the others, crossbow at the ready.

Nerek nods in response to Vishantos' pronouncement and stops only briefly to examine the statue. Particularly, he's looking for any religious symbols.

Nerek eyes the structure as he scratches idly at his chin. "Definitely dwarven," he says. "Tis a shame it has fallen into disrepair."
He'll examine any stone that appears to have writing on it to get a better feel for the monastery.

Nerek packs up his things, loads his crossbow, and readies himself for the journey.

After looking at the skull for a while, Nerek will put it away, and offer to take the second watch.

"It's magical," Nerek explains to Geddoe. "Although I must admit that I don't know what it does, yet."
At camp Nerek will attempt to identify the object.
Appraise check, correct? d20 + 0 = 14. Do I get a bonus for having studied it with Detect Magic? Can I take 20?

Nerek grabs the skull before they leave the hut, hoping to study it at a later date.

Nerek has no qualms about stopping to make camp. He'll cast detect magic, however, to make sure the witch didn't leave any other nasty surprises around, making a full sweep of the hut and surrounding area.

Nerek steps back into the fray, swinging his mace at the cauldron.

+1 to attacks and saves against fear effect for 1 minute. I think everyone should have been within the burst of the spell

Nerek will remain near the doorway, keeping an eye out for any more zombies that might be lurking nearby.

"Egads man!" Nerek exclaims as he gets wind of the stench.
"Did anyone bring any tomatoes?"
Nerek will approach the hut, but not too close, as he doesn't want to be sprayed himself. He'll keep an eye out for the skunk.

Nerek eyes the corpse warily, before turning back to watch Geddoe at the hut.
"Just what kind of nasty surprise do you think this witch might spring on us?" He whispers idly while scratching his forehead.

I believe I had my crossbow out and ready, so...
Nerek shoots with the loaded crossbow.
d20 +1 = 13. Probably not enough to hit, but d8 = 3
He then holsters the crossbow.

"So, uh, Geddoe, why don't you sneak over there and see if the witch is home," Nerek whispers nervously as he scratches his forehead.

Quite pleased with himself, Nerek smiles broadly before scratching his forehead. "Are the undead common in these parts?" he asks.

Nerek presents his gold coin of Abadar.
"By the Great Road I command you, begone!" he says sternly to the zombie.
Turn check d20 + 1 = 16, so I can turn 2HD of undead

Nerek nods in agreement with Calar, while idly scratching his forehead.
"What do you boys know about this witch, anyhow?"

Nerek's ears perk up at the mention of the Dwarven Ruins, although he tries to hide his obvious interest with another scratch of his forehead.
"Thank nothing of it," he says to Calar. "We all have our roles to fill. Yours is getting stomped like a beetle, and mine is making sure you live to tell about it!"
He chuckles at his own joke and goes about reloading his crossbow and preparing for the next part of the journey.

Nerek looks over the creature before a smile breaks out across his face.
"You did say strange creatures lived in these woods, and I'd definitely call that one strange! Let's get that moss and get out of here."
He scratches at his forehead as he returns to collect the moss.

Nerek runs over to Calar and casts CLW on him, sacrificing Divine Favor.
