Calar will stand to the side and then peer in once the door is open. Spot check = 12


Male Dwarf lv 1 Cleric

Nerek hefts is crossbow, checking to make sure the bolt is securely in place before anyone opens the door.

Spot check to spot anything obivously hostile once the door is open: d20 + 2 = 13

If I have a line on the door, I make a spot check, too. spot: d20-1 = 17
Laurent mumbles, "I have a bad feeling about this. Hope to heaven we get out soon."

I actually thought he HAD opened it. Looking back I see that he didn't.


Calar will move past Geddoe. "I got it from here." Calar opens the door.

This small chamber appears to be some sort of sitting room, complete with a single table and a pair of chairs, both in relatively good condition. Resting atop the table is a half-eaten crow next to a crude knife and a cracked mug.

The door opens outwars towards resulting in an awkwards shuffling in the hall.

And for the record, I won't suggest actions, but will make reflexive rolls for Geddoe, until he turns back up. Otherwise, feel free to grab the strings and move him around so we don't get hung up again.

Calar will poke his head around and take a quick look for anything useful. Search=5.

And your search reveals nothing beyond another exit from this room, a door leading south.

Geddoe is helping you search, made his reflex save, but failed to find the trap... how that works i don't know, but it is in the adventure...

After saying this, Laurent pulls out a red handkerchief and places it over his mouth and nose, sword gripped in the other hand.

Sorry for slow postings lately, and for being unclear. Every person, as they enter the room needs a reflex save.


Male Dwarf lv 1 Cleric

Nerek glances sideways at Laurent. "What do you think I am? A battering ram?" he grumbles.


Male Human Rogue 1

"Maybe it's unlocked."

Gedoe will try the door and see if it's locked.


Male Half-Elf Bard 1

Reflect: d20+5=11
"You're no battering ram... I just can't kick it down myself, and you're a stoutish sort of fellow."

The door is unlocked, opening and peering inside reveals a kobold sleeping on one of two beds in the chamber.


Male Human Rogue 1

Gedoe puts a finger in front of his lips, motioning for the others to remain silent. He then draws a dagger and begins creeping toward the sleeping form.

Hide = 1d20+5 = 15
Move Silently = 1d20+5 = 7

Vishantos continues to monitor the hallway for danger.

Nerek freezes in place.

Calar freezes, hand firm on his hammer.


Male Half-Elf Bard 1

Readied action, attack goblin if it gets in range.
Laurent readies his blade to attack the sleeping form should it approach him.


Male Human Rogue 1

Assuming he makes it to the kobold without waking it, Gedoe opens its neck with a quick slash of his blade.

Coup de grace: 2d4 + 2 + 1d6 = 10

The Kobold never awakens.

A cursory glance about the room reveals the spare bed has a few items on it, including some mason's tools, some random coins (62 gp), a ruby, as well as 4 small sized daggers, a short sword, and a set of picks and prybars (thieve's tools). The kobold was sleeping in a suit of worn leather armor.

Gedoe scoops the gold and ruby into a pouch and glances at Calar, "We'll split this up when we get back to town, yeah?"

He then slips the kobold's thieving tools into a different pouch. "Never hurts to have a backup," he mutters to himself.

After a quick search of the room, Search = 1d20+5 = 19 Gedoe motions back up the hallway, "Well then, do we try the double doors opposite the entrance, or the small door across from the coatroom?"


Male Half-Elf Bard 1

"Aye. Though I wonder what that beast was doing here, sleeping of all things."


Male Human Rogue 1

"We'll likely find a few more hereabouts. Probably where the shambling corpse in the woods came from."


male Human Transmuter 1

Hmmm.. what? Is somoene in there? or something? What is it?


Male Human Rogue 1

"It was a kobold. Now it's a corpse."

"How's the cough?"

Vishantos clears his throat and then spits out a dark gritty glob.

"Cough seems to have mostly cleared up..." he spits again then wipes his mouth on his sleeve.


Male Human Rogue 1

"Yeah. Let's get those mushrooms."

Your search reveals a small hole in the wall, just large enough for the kobold to sneak out into the main hallway. There are obvious signs the hole was enlarged using the mason's tools you found.

Nerek relaxes somewhat now that the immediate danger is past. "Now what?" he asks.


male Human Transmuter 1

"I say we find out what's behind the big doors we passed." Vishantos moves down the passage to the entrance hall, making room for the others.


Male Human Rogue 1

"Works for me."

Gedoe leaves the kobold's sleeping chamber and heads back through the room containing half-eaten crow into the hallway.

"I wonder why the little bugger used a hole in the wall..."

I no longer recall if my crossbow is loaded or not. Rather than digging through several old posts to find out, if it is currently not loaded, I load it now.


Male Half-Elf Bard 1

Laurent follows Gedoe to the doors, in the hopes that soon the mushrooms will be found.

Gedoe watches with amusement as the absent-minded wizard draws a bolt from his case and moves to load his crossbow, only to realize it is already loaded and has been since they entered the ruins.

Since no one else seems to want to open the door, Nerek will do so.
