Will you be adding any more Prestige Classes to the Guide? I've found the Inspired Blade Archetype works very well with the Duelist Prestige Class, mainly due both of them benefiting from high Int scores. Everything else is gravy.

1) Plume of Panache: ACG p233. This item description looks like part of it is missing. "Once per day, the wearer can activate it; when she does, the plume provides her with 1 panache point that can be used for that deed." OK, what deed, exactly? This isn't clear; is there supposed to be a particular deed this item should be used for? Is there any errata for the ACG yet?

2) Swordmaster's Flair: ACG p236. I'm just stumped on this one. No matter how many times I read it and re-read it, I simply can NOT tell if the price is for each one of these four items individually, or if it's for the whole set. As a set, 2500gp seems a bit low. OTOH, paying 10,000gp for the set seems overpriced. Either way, it's not clear.

What am I missing?

Pathfinder's rules are a bloated, complicated mess. Our group has to STOP PLAYING every two minutes to look something up, and we're sick of it. The only reason I'm still playing is to humor the GM, who loves this game. If it was up to me we'd be switching to something playable, like 5E or Savage Worlds.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Inquisitor of Iomedae: "You guys can loot the bodies, I'm just here to burn the unrighteous."

I think it's all about the character concept.

If you're planning to play a certain prestige class (arcane trickster, anyone) then you might be required to multi-class. Nothing wrong with that -- it's built into the character concept from the beginning.

I'm currently playing an inquisitor. There are certain inquisitor builds that would benefit from multi-classing into cleric, maybe fighter. The way I built mine, that wouldn't help me much. (I'll spare everyone another "tell you about my character" post.) So I'm gonna be single-classed all the way up to 20, like one of those amplifier ads.

Cuz going up to 11 wasn't high enough.

I'm inclined to agree; prestige classes should encourage character growth and reinforce setting tropes. Pathfinder's approach discourages the random cherry-picking of levels from this and that PrC just to power up a character, and I approve.

But I just can't quite take anyone who uses the term "forced down my unwilling throat" seriously. Sorry, OP. I think it's safe to say you are in no danger whatsoever of needing a stomach pump from reading a book.

Movie quotes are good sometimes. Don't go for the obvious ones; they lose their impact if everyone at the table has heard them a hundred times.

I always liked Avatar's line from Wizards, "I've got stuff planned for you that'll take 20 years to kill ya, and you'll be screamin' for mercy in the first five seconds!"

I'm playing an Inquisitor and looking at my options for magic weapons. At the moment I'm at 4th level, and don't have one yet so I don't have to decide in a hurry. (Scabbard of Vigor is my friend.) I'm considering getting a Vicious weapon and using my Fast Healing judgement to alleviate the damage from using the weapon.

The question is: what happens, exactly? Would the Fast Healing occur before or after my attack action? Or would that be up to me?

Thanx heaps.
