Ok. Ride seems the obvious next choice. All updated, I think.

Background updated. Rolls below. Not sure whether Weapon Prof should have been dagger (as planned) or spear (as played). STR, WIS, CHA (1d4 1=2, 1d4 1=3, 1d4 1=5) Handle Animal, Detect Evil, Weapon prof (1d20=8, 1d20=15, 1d20=20)

Two bad (my rolling continues): 9) Lost in the woods for a week – eventually returned by a wood elf, warned to use common sense or torn apart by an owlbear next time.
(Oh, look, I rolled high!)

Nagy looks triumphant, then he looks at Taya adoringly. "You -- you were awesome, Taya! How did you do that? Man, if he'd hit you . . ." Taya Risper wrote: "Nagy, can you tie that dog up again and we need to get Darin to Morvummm's. I don't know how badly I hurt him.... I really wish I hadn't done that." her voice trails off. "Right." Nagy suits action to words.

Nagy bursts through the stall gate and, seeing the hound about to make things much worse, changes his plans. Ignoring the villains he'd come to fight, he does his best to calm the dog and defuse what might turn from fistfights into a lethal situation. IC is down, so please roll for me, CHA -1 of course

Nagy descends the ladder as rapidly as he can. Climb (if needed)(1d20-1=0) And Nagy's hot streak continues!

Jerrid Kinslarn wrote: Nagy needs to roll initiative to see if Taya goes first. She already beats Finwe. Init (1d20-1=2) Believe that answers that

Zagyg's Egg wrote: However as Taya greets Orick and Daetha, a large hound comes out of the other barn opposite the red one. He is roped to the wall and stops when he notices the group. Not wanting the dog to alert the gang, Nagy slowly and calmly approaches it, speaking nonsense to it softly to keep it calm. Handle Animal can't be used untrained, so . . . Charisma (1d20-1=11)

Korgoth Darkhand wrote: "I think that we need to hurry though. I don't like the thought of Asfer in Jeridd's clutches. He's a snake, that one." Nagy looked ready to go with Korgoth before Taya intervened. "Yeah, we'll take care of Seddani. Then we'll take care of Jerrid. I never did like him."

Vladimir blows his hair away from his good eye and reaches a hand up to Nagy hoping he will help him up. "After all like Old Domar says we are in this together, I one of fails we both fail." Nagy glares at Vladimir, but then softens. "Ok, we'll practice. And show those guys." He helps Vladimir up. "But don't you get me kicked out of training!"

Nagy, looking furious, shoots back, "Or some of us at anything!" It is clear he is not referring to himself. Though he is stronger than most boys his age, the exercise with the spear quickly has Nagy wishing that, indeed, his arms would fall off. He pushes through, though, and, when dismissed, picks up his pack and heads for home, only blowing on his blisters when he is well away from the training field.

"Yes, sir," Nagy answers as he accepts the spear. He feels his cheeks burn when the men laugh, but steadfastly does not look at them, rather focusing on the the bale. He runs a couple of steps, cocking his arm back, and launches the spear, which flies only a few yards before skittering along the ground in the general direction of the bale. Nagy, feeling humiliated, steps forward to pick up the spear for another throw, still avoiding looking at the militiamen. |
