Derrik's hurricane of blades saws through the mummies with swift, terrible precision!

The final mummy falls in a burst of shredded bandages....


The mummy jerks and twitches as the shards of ice pierce it's bandages, shredding its undead flesh.... But it still stands!


Eleven ice javelins pierce the mummies' AC 23....

Edit: 10 javelins strike--those last two rolls were in excess of 14....


5-ft step to flank Derrik with Wilbur Whateley....

Slam 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (7) + 17 = 24 misses....

Another mummy flanks Derrik with a third mummy....

Slam 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (13) + 17 = 30 plus surge 1d6 ⇒ 3....deals 1d8 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19 plus mummy rot (Fort DC 18) if it hits....

The third mummy flanks Derrik with the second mummy....

Slam 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (6) + 17 = 23 misses....

The fourth mummy 5-ft steps to flank Derrik with Wilbur as well....

Slam 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (2) + 17 = 19 misses....


Now that Kepler, Mahatma and the cornugon are within range of the four mummies' despair auras, they must each make 4 DC 16 Will saves....

I'll let Kepler and Mahatma be within 10 ft of Derrik, gaining a +4 morale bonus on the saves....


Derrik's aura of courage makes him immune to fear effects, correct? If not, the mummies have aura of despair out to 30 ft (Will DC 16 or temporary paralysis)....


Two mummies are close enough to Derrik to shuffle up and attack....

Slam 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (2) + 15 = 17 misses....

Slam 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16 misses....

The other two take the full round to shamble along the ziggurat's tiers, bringing them about 10 ft from Derrik....


The closest two mummies will need three move actions to reach Derrik; the further two need four moves.... All four begin lumbering toward him this round, arms outstretched....
