I offer my excellent negotiating skills (diplomacy and intimidate), clerical powers and my status as a member of the Asmodean Church, which should come in handy in Egorian and other parts of the world where Cheliax holds sway and beyond. I also believe in research.

You can trust me because it is a matter of religious dogma that the sanctity of contracts must be maintained.

If you allow me in your organization, then we shall go very far. And I assure you: Asmodean clerics do not stay at the bottom for too long.

Answer to Q4, see Answer to Q2.

Answer to Q5, I wait for the maid to go out before invoking a spell to take on the likeness of the maid. I then offer the target some wine which I have laced with slow acting poison. After I confirm the target has drank the brew, I immediately leave the scene.

Other solutions are possible depending on whatever data prior research may turn up.

N.B. I haven't gotten into the actual writing of the stats; the profile shows the old stats of this character for another pbp

Got it! Monastic Training can be found at the Eberron Campaign Setting.

I'm thinking of a Half-Orc who has been living / training for the past few years at the monastery in Sandpoint, seeking to over come his orcish side through strict discipline, and show the world that Half-Orcs are not inherantly evil like their full orc brethren. To that end, he has spent the past 8 months or so, living with Niska Mvashti, as her protector and learning the way of the Druids.

I like a character that does not allow fate to dictate the paths he may take.

There is a feat called "Monastic Training" that should help you in multiclassing. I'll post the sourcebook once I get a chance to rummage through my stuff.

Here is the Skeleton for Drannor. Still have to finalise Gear, Background etc. but the numbers should be right to go.

You weren't kidding when you said Raw Damage output!

Yeah, my paladin wannabe is going to not fit in too well with an Asmodeus worshipper lol. I'm going to step out and let someone else take a spot. Have fun! :)

I was hoping that you would give it a chance.

Anyways, hope we can participate together in some other future game.

A lawful neutral character that's selfish ect. is fine by me as long as you don't kill fellow party members orbe overly hostile to them. Evil can fit in and, like you said, be a likeable person to their friends.

The underlying goal for my character for the campaign will actually require him to work with a group. And perhaps convince them of the justness of his cause.

FabesMinis wrote:
If there are going to be evil PCs, I might duck out and let someone on the waiting list take a slot. Nothing personal, I just prefer inter-party, rather than intra-party conflict.

That's precisely it. Whatever "evil" my character might be doing is in the background. Insofar as the party is concerned, my character is a loyal member of the group. Hence, no opportunity for intra-party conflict should arise.

Moreover, my character will take extra precaution not to be discovered.

Finally, I would like to think that my character would be judged on the basis of his actions.

If you give me a chance to prove that this could work, then I'm sure you won't regret your decision.

FabesMinis wrote:

You can be 'not very nice' and not be evil - LN has plenty of potential to be selfish.

I see your point. My character as it stands now is LN.

Not my decision, but I found evil characters in PbP games I ran more than destructive, but that of course depends upon the setting and adventure.

I was thinking more of Adrian Pasdar as "Jim Profit" evil in the 1990s series "Profit." Yes, he did blackmail, malversation, even murder but he just wanted to be part of a family and was a thoroughly likable guy, which makes his brand of evil all the more frightening.

Further, I promise, if allowed to play such a character, that my character will not seek the demise of the members of the party. I will be lawful and would adhere to a strict moral code, one that I wish to flesh out using the flaws for paladins article in Dragon 324, p. 96.

Think of this as an opportunity to expand our role-playing horizons.

Anyways, I still need Arctaris' "ok" before proceeding.

That's cool. We probably we won't be getting started until at least midway through next week so you have plenty of time.

Can I still tweak my character?

Just found the flaws for cleric article in Dragon 326, and the cleric alternative class features article in Dragon 353.

Plus I plan on changing my character's patron deity. (Which of course entail changing parts of my character's background)

Lastly, will you accept an evil character? I was thinking about the role-playing possibilities, considering the present mix of characters in the team.

Arctaris, I've included the appearance, background, personality into the profile.

Muad-dib, FabesMinis, and Mevers, I went over your character sheets and everything looks good.

Cool!

Edit: How much Gold are we starting with? I assumed 125 gp.

Arctaris, I assumed we're starting with max gold. If not, I got to trim some stuff from my equipment list.

mevers wrote:

As long, of course, that you are happy playing a cleric? I find having players happy with their characters tends to be more important than having all the bases covered.

No problem with playing a cleric here. It is tied with wizard as my favorite class.

I am also looking forward to this.

Arctaris,

I've posted the character stats for my cleric under my profile for your approval. I am still working on a revised background.

Thanks.

If you guys end up without a divine caster than I'll try to make it so that the lack of a cleric doesn't hurt much.

If it is all fine with you guys, I'll take on the divine caster role, a cleric of Abadar.

In addition I’m fine with most materiel from Dragon magazine, just run it by me first.

Can I use the imbue staff class feature presented in Dragon Issue No. 338 instead of the summon familiar class feature?

Thanks.

Welcome aboard.

I'm in U.S. Mountain time zone (a 15 hour difference, I believe). With PbP everyone doesn't have to be online at the same time so this shouldn't be a problem.

Stats can be arranged as you like.

Haven't heard of the Sandshaper before but Ultimate Magus is fine (been wanting to play one myself, it looks like a good PrC).
Here is the list of allowed books again
** spoiler omitted **

Additionally, I require at least one post per day, preferably more. If you're going to be absent for a while please alert me ahead of time.

Thanks for the reply. I think I can manage that. I'll start as a wizard and work up to the requirement for the PrC.

I'll post the stats later along with the background.

Hello. I haven't had the opportunity to play pbp before and if you would allow me to join, this would be my first time. Please bear with me if I ask a lot of questions.

I work overseas (Philippines) and I would like to know your time zone and the times you plan to start the game, so I can synchronize with you. Hope this won't be much of an inconvenience to you.

Also, I would like to be clarified on the stats generation rules. The scores generated can be arranged as you like, yes?

Lastly, I can't seem to access the list of allowed books. Will you allow a sandshaper or ultimate magus into your campaign?

Thanks.
