Lightless Depths is a little vague on what happens to the trog heretic Irgzid once ther PCs meet up with the aboleth about mid-way throught the module. So vague in fact that I can find no mention of him whatsoever! Now I happen to love the little guy, so what do you think should happen to him once his role as guide expires? The obvious idea would be for the PCs to adopt him as a cohort, but his CE demeanor might make that a little difficult. ![]()
I'm going to be running Savage Tide this Saturday. I'm fairly okay with most of the adventure, but the crucible completely stumps me. I've read through it several times and I just don't get how it works. How does the illusiory wall room not get flooded? Are there an entrance apart from the trap doors? Basically if someone could give me an explanation of exactly how the crucible room works, that would be great. Thanks in advance. ![]()

Sounds like the DM was really going for the a**hole angle when playing him then. In that case, the reaction is warranted. ![]()
Here's my votes: BARBARIAN: The dwarf guy is new and Krusk always seemed fairly savvy for a barabarian to me...
BARD Assuming this is a straight up fight, the drow wins easy. Anyone remember him taking down the two corrupt celestials in "Spire of long shadows"?
Cleric: This one is actually a bit tough. Tyralandi can hurl meteors (Library of last resort), but Jozan can cast symbol of pain...
Druid: Good money is on Vadania to win this one, although her wolf will get munched by the elf's dino.
Fighter: This is really a question of twf vs axe and board. Although that extra level Tordek gets due to the Tiefling LA...
Monk: This could be a fairly even match-up. Both Ember and the new monk are buff as heck. But I'll go with experience for now.
Paladin: Please...
Ranger: I actually had a funny vision of this fight. The two duke it out for a while, until Solveliss appears to be winning. But just before he finishes her she says "Wait, you forgot something", "What?". She then smiles and replies "A whole class feature", after which her cougar devours Solvellis
Rogue: Lidda is truly one of the classier iconics. Plus the half-elf rogue seems to face nothing but bad luck.
Sorceror:I really dig Hennet. So I'm going with the popular choice
Wizard: Let's see, bad-ass human female with demon familiar or gender ambigous wierdo?
Final total:

Sebastian wrote: The WotC Iconics would whup the butts of the Paizo Iconics. Half the Paizo Iconics are weighted down with crappy +x ECL levels. Besides, we all know that the WotC Iconics are always dripping with whatever goodies are on offer in the latest supplements, whereas the Paizo Iconics are probably built using a 20 point buy core-rules-only type system. Only 2 members of the Paizo inconics have LAs at a whopping +1 for the tiefling fighter and +2 for the drow bard. And I don't think you're giving thr Paizo iconics enough credit. After all, we have seen the Ranger stare down a dire tiger and the cleric cast meteor swarm. ![]()

I had this wierd idea that popped out of nowhere the other day. Basically it was a series in which the iconics from Dungeon battled it out with the WoTC inconics (Krusk, Mialee etc) for supremacy, ala DC vs Marvel. Who do you think would win in this situation? The only battle I could visualise would be the one between the Drow bard and Gimble. The drow takes one look at his opponent, then breaks the fourth wall, asking if the writer is serious and then procees to punt the gnome. ![]()
While I'm not currently playing in or running ST, I think you're being slightly harsh on the poor fella'. How is a request to save a baby diplodocus from terror birds demanding? Unless your party is entirely made up of apathetic lone wolves or evil characters, they should probably be doing it anyway. And since when does he not give out the stone salve?
