Morthos enters the room and stands to the side opposite Lidya.

You know what to do! Morthos calls out to his sister. He channels a bit of his occult energy to her before sending her into the room to deal with the thing.

Unless the scene is proceeding quickly (nearly in rounds) Morthos should be patched up by his pearly white aeon stone. (1hp/minute).

It would appear the forces in this place want us to head in one direction... he states, frowning.

I suppose I could at least verify that all of the bedroom doors do this?

One by one he tries the doors in the North hallway. If they all do the same, he tries the bedroom in the Southeast.

Morthos eyes the source of the fluctuations warily.

Perhaps we clear some of these other rooms first, and then check it out? he suggests.

He picks into the Northeastern bedroom.

"Wait" is fine if the result is too low for multiple words.

"I mean, look! His heart is in the right place. And school is overrated in my opinion!" Yata follows after.

Morthos seems a little shook at the utterance of "overrated."

Perhaps it's time to venture upstairs, fine the chamber and hopefully find the lodestone. Why don't we tell the students to relax here until we make sure nothing dangerous is afoot up there?

Voron returns to where they are hanging out and tries to explain where to find the document explaining the focus ritual.

Hopefully this enhances Yata's efforts. Can we add the words together we get from each result to form a fuller message?

Morthos laughs nervously.

"But can we fill it, or will we need the kids to do that?"

Right, we will need to direct them to gather these items together. One we locate each item we can begin communicating the directions.

Maybe we should try upstairs?

Comments on the loot from the library, before we move on from there:

It seems like only myself and Lidya are using weapon attacks, so is it OK if we each take a potency crystal? (Can the eidolon use one?) Related, how do these work? One-time use and they're gone for good?

With four minor healing potions, how about we divvy up one to each of the level 1 members? So Bustral, Dawnfriend, Modra, and Yata.

Though styled as weapons, Lidya's attcks are *technically* unarmed attacks (as is the case for all eidolons).

Morthos jumps in quickly to decipher the intended message before his sister can get interested in the novel...

He feels something creeping into his being and introducing warm waves of nausea, but in resolution he fights it off.

Young Alec, you really don't want to do that.

Of course Morthos doesn't really know what's inside, but if it's locked it can't be good that a student finds it.

Morthos holds his nose just in time to avoid nauseating effects.

He attempts to communicate across the boundary again.

Morthos attempts to talk them through the cooking.

Well done sister. he pats her on the shoulder and you notice it makes clean contact with her spectral form.

Morthos mentions that he hears some chaotic sounds coming from the kitchen and maybe they should go check it out.

Those don't look good. the tiefling remarks.

Morthos doesn't suppose Alec ought to be doing what he is with the thieves tools So he attempts to warn the youth off of his current actions before catching up to the group:

Whether or not that works, he and Lidya catch up with the others in the room with mirrors.

Fascinating! They can see us in these? Can they see messages we write and hold up in the mirrors?

He tries a simple written message that asks Can you read this?

Morthos sighs and follows the group behind Alec.

I suppose it's beneficial that they're so inquisitive. At least they can see our messages sometimes.

Are the children even trying to figure it out for themselves at all?

He looks around to count heads.

Morthos thinks Modra has the right idea with his message.

Suddenly he's lost the touch to interact with any items in the room for communicating.

Well, let's just see where the kids head off to next and we'll keep trying to communicate.

Morthos has unwittingly discovered a possible way to communicate with the students in this phased reality.

Some of my classmates view this as a sort of vacation or something, but I see it as an adventure. We are going somewhere we haven't been and meeting people we haven't met. It is almost overwhelming. But I am ready. Professor Krelsun is a fine teacher. He tries to really help us understand the history we’re studying by imagining we’re diplomats from Kyonin negotiating a treaty or navigating the darklands in search of ancient sorcerers. His lectures are dull as dirt, though! So it feels good to actually be doing something.”

I think you're right that this trip is an opportunity to utilize your skills and grow! What specifically would you like to develop on this trip? Fill in knowledge gaps? Practice a cantrip?

Morthos clears his throat and steps forward when it is his turn.

Certainly! Hello class. My name is Morthos. My original reason for joining the society is very personal, but regardless me and my sister have had many adventures along the way! I was present when a ghost suddenly appeared in the lodge at Almas. I've trekked in the jungles of the Sodden Lands. I was hired to clear oozes from a Thassilonian ruin. I got to meet a star-gunsmith in Arcadia! Oh! We were here recently to help figure out who was disrupting your performances Quest #20. To be honest, I imagine we won't get into nearly that kind of trouble today.

He smiles at Morthos and waves. "Hello! I'm Brother Dawnfriend. What is your name? Are you with Lidya here?"

The tiefling laughs nervous, fumbling over an answer.

Oh, um yes. I am Morthos. This is my sister Lidya. We take on Pathfinder missions in hopes of her remembering what happened to her.

Just then her brother elbows her to simply stop, embarrassed of her incessant questions.

A frustrated looking tiefling, tall with plain explorer's clothes follows close behind her. Morthos has a relatively plain face for a tiefling, though his ruby-red skin and long horns still stand out and tell of his ancestry. His utility clothing does not seem to match his personality, but he is otherwise well-kept.

Please keep the silly questions to a minimum this time.

Morthos expression is of deep concern as the open-air tavern descends into chaos. He looks to see where his sister is, to ensure she's out of harm's reach.

Just as he's distracted with this, the electricity arcs towards him...

DC15 Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15

His head still clear, Morthos walks up to the line and accepts a dart from Stella.

Here's where the clarity of not imbibing should pay off... but he doesn't want to overplay his confidence.

While his arm swings in a throwing motion, it is really his occult magical energies that propel and aim the dart.

Spell attack: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21 tk projectile

Morthos laughs nervously.

It appears Riddle could handle my share of the drink.

Morthos gives his sister an incredulous look.

How... do you plan on making that work. Actually nevermind...

He declines joining in the drinking (for now). He knows his own stomach well enough and likes to retain the ability to think.
