Morrigan tries to catch the imp again. She pounces on the creature this time. Hoping to keep it from moving around.

Morrigan turns from the dart attack and tries to drop her cloak over the imp's head but misses.

"Curse you!" Morrigan shakes her fist towards the empty space where the imp left.

"Perhaps, I more mundane solution..." Morrigan mutters to herself.

Morrigan uses this round to remove her cloak and prepare it as an improvised net to toss on the imp the next time he appears.

Morrigan climbs up the boxes until the imp is within range and slices at it with her falchion.

Climb if necessary: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Shadow Falchion: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 2) + 3 = 8

If it hits, the imp gets a Will save DC 16 to disbelieve the weapon and reduce the damage to 1.

"Some things cannot be saved. Devils are inherently evil. No matter what you do, that won't change. I'm not against offering redemption when redemption is possible. But in this case it is not. And maybe the imp will keep its word and serve us faithfully because it is also a lawful creature, but its aid is not worth stooping the the Thruunes' level."

"I agree with the majority and say we kill the devil. Contract or not, there is no way I'd trust this creature. As long as it is around, I'd have to sleep with both eyes open."

Scent:

This special quality allows a creature to detect approaching enemies, sniff out hidden foes, and track by sense of smell. Creatures with the scent ability can identify familiar odors just as humans do familiar sights.

The creature can detect opponents within 30 feet by sense of smell. If the opponent is upwind, the range increases to 60 feet; if downwind, it drops to 15 feet. Strong scents, such as smoke or rotting garbage, can be detected at twice the ranges noted above. Overpowering scents, such as skunk musk or troglodyte stench, can be detected at triple normal range.

When a creature detects a scent, the exact location of the source is not revealed—only its presence somewhere within range. The creature can take a move action to note the direction of the scent. When the creature is within 5 feet of the source, it pinpoints the source’s location.

If the enemy is within 30 feet, Bacon, senses it's presence. If so, he'll take a move action to determine which direction it is coming from.

Morrigan withdraws a scroll from her backpack and reads off it. The scroll ignites in black flames then crumbles to dust in her hands. In its place a falchion of pure shadow magically appears in her hands. She casts Shadow Weapon

Morrigan casts cause fear on Kossrani. Darkness enshrouds Kossrani's mind and Morrigan speaks in a booming voice. "Peer into the darkest shadows. You will see Hell sooner than you think."

"Yes, I think those vomiting opossum-like creatures were able to turn invisible. Gods, I hope its not another one of those. But I don't think those things were able to affect a person's mind. Whatever affected Morgar seems to have some kind of mind-controlling ability. It doesn't sound like he was dominated but perhaps charmed or suggested."
