Mike,

You've already *paid for* a Winning Races that's never run. For a LA +0 Fey. Might save a bit of bread to, well, run it. ;)

Silicon Sorcery requires the cooperation of the game's publisher as well as Paizo/WotC, as a recent unpleasant experience of mine brought home.

I'm not sure how much cooperation BioWare would give on a Jade Empire article, or how much input Microsoft would have into the decision, or, for that matter, how MS would feel about an 'X-Box Exclusive' game being highlighted for pen & paper play.

Regardless, I'm fairly sure one installment the current, fairly lengthy Silicon Sorcery format could cover those aspects of the game not already addressed by, say, the Oriental Adventures book - and that the good folks at Paizo wouldn't want to do more than one piece in that format.

FYI, Half-golems, according to the Monster Manual 2 from whence they came, are living creatures with golem parts grafted onto them.

The process tends to drive them insane, although there are saves involved.

I can see templates perhaps being over-used (specifically half-dragon, half-fiendish and half-celestial), but class levels on monsters are a beautiful thing; I don't think it's possible to overuse those.

Though not a Canadian, I'll add my "mad props" to the mysterious McA-1 (and his colleagues at the Dragon offices) for being members of that rare breed - or is it model? - editors who actually respond to authors!

"With Friends Like These"- Well, ok. The advice offered by this article seems to be "Don't be an ass clown." Which, I feel, anybody with half a head of sense could have told you. The example charachters ARE all very nice, but ironicly enough, could all be problematic if improperly played. And i'm not sure what the artwork had to do with this article, but overall? Not bad.

This article's one of mine, so I feel inclined to point something out here. Actually, the point of it was: "How your character can be an 'ass clown' without you being one." ;)

As such, it's not ironic that the example characters could all be problematic. Reread. Or not. Anyway, glad you liked said example characters.

Although a sligh CL boost would be helpful (though still arguably weaker than the psionic wilder class's Wild Surge), something as extreme as a 10 level bump would be prohibitively expensive.

Now, if you can find a way to throw in the artificer class, *then* it starts to get dangerous. :)
