Mizzie, puzzled at Vivre's actions, stays where she is. She takes a look around the pumpkin patch, holding out her hand to see if she can sense any auras that match the creatures they fought just earlier. "Ask the leshy what happened here long ago," she tells Willow as she does so, "and how it's affecting the pumpkins. Her side of the story."

I would like the oil of continual flame, I'm happy to roll off for it if someone else does too. (Does it continue to function after this scenario? I know you can have up to one permanent effect on your character.) Am not interested in the false life and fire breath.

As Mizzie hurries toward the cottage, she weaves her hands in a spell gesture. "Assassin soul, I summon thee!"

A ghostly-white humanoid appears next to the giant pumpkin-headed creature, clad in light armor with a grim expression on its face. The figure looks around as though assessing the situation, seeing the jack-o-lantern and the house being attacked. Then the figure strikes with a gleaming dagger held in one hand-- a weapon that seems to be much more real than the person holding it.

(I added the weapon to the map just to clarify where it's striking from, but it doesn't occupy a square and can't provide flanking.)

Can't possibly beat Aurelia's Perception.

Upon reaching the body and confirming there is no immediate danger, Mizzie crouches beside it. She touches Elm's eyes in a ritual manner (closing them if they're open) and mutters a brief prayer. "Speed, safety, and surety on your journey to Pharasma's judgment."

Mizzie straightens and turns toward Constable Tivareau. "He will need a proper burial, of course, as soon as it can be arranged. I'm a priestess of Pharasma, as it happens," she adds, tucking her hair behind one ear to reveal a silver earring shaped in the blue spiral of Pharasma's holy symbol, "and I'm happy to perform the ceremony. If he has no specific preference?" She looks toward Elm's body, almost as though she expects it to answer.

I love it! What a cute idea. I am also not an artist, but I added Mizzie's "carving" to her portion of the slide.

Mizzie takes a pumpkin and carving knife and, tongue between her teeth, sets to poking out a few shapes. She's happier in this task than she expected to be on a Pathfinder mission-- how long has it been since I last did this? -- despite not being very good at it.

Mizzie isn't particularly concerned with what Shelyn would think of her efforts, being in the sworn service of another, but she's entertained by the fact that her small piece of art will continue to decorate this town after she leaves. Of all the things she might have expected from a Pathfinder mission, making art was not among them.

When she sees Nuwa introduce herself to Armeline, Mizzie sidles in that direction to accompany her. "What a lovely festival this looks to be. I'm happy we made the trip to see it."

"I'd be delighted, Lady Nuwa." Mizzie slips her arm around Nuwa's as the two of them make their way toward town. "Two charming young maids just out and enjoying the festival, I'm sure we can find a few tongues willing to wag."

Mizzie inhales. "I don't know about the rest of you, but after ten days on the water I would very much like some of that bread being prepared. We can spend some time getting acquainted with the town and sample the festival food at the same time."

Mizzie will spend some time asking around about the festival specifically, what it celebrates and why there's a ritual of forgiveness at the end.

Mizzie's talents aren't much use during the ten-day river voyage, so she spends most of it keeping her boredom at bay by flirting with one or another of the sailors and asking them about their homes. She has a wide scope of knowledge and can keep up her end of a conversation with just about everyone. While Mizzie has no particularly keen insights on any topic, she has enough memorized facts to at least seem interesting-- and of course is pretty enough that none of the sailors seem to mind.

She discovers quickly that she and Nuwa have a great deal to talk about (given that we both have lots of Knowledges and are good at summoning stuff), particularly on more esoteric topics like the outer planes. She has unusual opinions on the subject of the dead, however, and discusses it without a trace of the sadness or at least somber attitude of most. In fact, she has a tendency to speak of souls less like former beings and more like good friends who live elsewhere.

Multiclassing into paladin is a good idea. One of my other characters is a Musket Master gunslinger, and after a few levels I got pretty bored. I went inquisitor and that character is a lot more interesting now. (More effective? Debatable. More interesting, definitely.)

There won't be a ton of synergy between gunslinger and paladin, but Mysterious Stranger is good and for your paladin levels you'll probably want Divine Hunter.

Having a pistol gives you the freedom to be a switch-hitter of sorts-- if the enemy runs up to you, no problem just draw a weapon and you're golden. I recommend taking Weapon Finesse at some point to cover that scenario. (Also applies if something happens to your pistol. Learn from my mistake-- my gunslinger once had her musket sundered, and she was practically useless until it could be repaired.)

Mizzie, a dark-skinned half-elf woman, sweeps into the room wearing a long black robe cinched by her adventuring gear. The only weapons she carries are a dagger at her belt and a crossbow at her back, neither of which appear to have seen much use. The robe doesn't quite hide the fact that underneath it, she too is wearing leather armor. Her dark hair falls in waves to just below her shoulders.

"Good day, venture captain Nuwa. Goodness, I love the flower in your hair. Is that a lotus?"
