She looks over all the items that you are selling and says "I can give you normal trade in value for these. Is that all you needed? Remember if you do find out where the black market is and give me the information there is a reward in it for you."

"I hope I don't have to either...that's way bigger than us, and I'm sure your right about the number of thugs. Still, if we're going to get answers...sooner or later somebody's got to give us a direction. And I'd don't mean to do it by just asking...we got have something worth selling..." A sudden thought comes to Lanten, his eyes seemingly alight.

"Let me ask you something, Miss Larakti...if I brought you something magical that was clearly aligned with an evil power...would you be interested in buying it or selling it," He asks with a tone of curiosity - his face focused and hoping he'll hear a certain answer.

"Good heavens no, I don't deal with the occult or the like, just normal utility type magic items."

Lanten would know that the Flounder Pounder was an extremely seedy establishment down at the dock that was usually best to be avoided at all costs.

Misha hearing your whisperings says, I am not asking you to infiltrate and wipe out the Black market single handedly. I just need the location so that I can go to the council with it. They probably have a great deal of thugs and the like where ever it is to ensure that people don't find it by going in and being nosy.

Misha listens and noting Edan's uncertainty says, "I am a member of the Merchants guild, anything that you sell to me that I don't normally carry I can pass on to someone who does for favors or money so I will gladly purchase items from you. What exactly are you looking for magic item wise?" After hearing Lina's question about the black market she looks sour. "If I knew anything about the Black market I would go to the counsel and have them shut it down, what I need is for someone to find out about the Black market and tell me so I CAN get it shut down."

You can sell the items for the normal 50% mark down in price.

Just assuming Lina and Edan agree at this point.
You all make your way to the Curio Shop.

Looking up as the four of you enter, her eyes narrow a little bit. "I recognize two of you." She states matter of factly. "How can I help you?"

"The general goings on eh?" She thinks for a moment. "nothing too noteworthy you are a few years too late for the sahuagin uprising, no great evil is threatening to destroy the town. Mostly small town growing pains. People that don't get along, general distrust of the lizard folk over at the embassy. I really don't get out much, you would have better luck at a bar most likely."

Misha rolls her eyes heaven wards, "More of you? I thought that that pushy paladin and cleric that stopped by earlier would be the last." She sighs, "No, I have noticed nothing strange going on, no strange people, no strange magic items, no strange clouds in the sky or pictures in my breakfast. As far as I am concerned things here are as normal as can be."

As far as you can tell she is being truthful to you.

Getting frustraited with this whole case Godelina sighs and nods.

"Okey, how much for one of those wands?" she asks though she wanted to buy one at a later date. "What other magical items do you have may I ask? she was interested that there might be more magical items to buy.

"I have one with 25 charges that I am selling at a killer deal of 300gp, I also have some gloves of dexterity, A few potions that I still need to get identified, a plethora of scrolls, and..." She lists pretty much anything on the minor wondrous item list under 1000gp

"Slavery? I never mentioned Slavery, what do you mean?" Godelina narrows her eyes not sure she believes this woman and tries to detect evil, very suspecious of her. "What do you know of this black market? If you tell me about this place then I can arrest those dealing with such items and you'll have a more influx of people. I would be interested of buying a wand of cure light wounds later and helping me will increase business for you."

"You just asked me if I had any magic items that would make people slaves girl, I do not deal in that kind of magic item.

I know only that the black market exists and that someone as young and inexperienced as you would probably end up dead if she looked for it, they have been a thorn in my side for years and I have discreetly hired more then one group of people to try and deal with them.

If you would like a wand of cure light wounds you happen to be in luck because I have two, not at full charge mind you, but I sell what is sold to me I don't make them my self so I will give you a fair price for how many charges remain."

You detect no evil from anything in the room.

"Anyone brought in questional magical items? Items that curse or perhaps force someone to become a slave." she asked as she is curious about this shop "I heard some people have been acting...differently. A few friend's said how someone's parents started to grow angry strangly and now no one has heard from them in a while. My friends are investigating this but I'd be interested if you have seen or heard of something similar happening? People's attitudes changing right after they leave the temple and stop going?"

Misha looks a bit miffed "I do not deal in "questionable" magic items, if you want something like that look into the black market, they are already putting a strain on my business. And no I know nothing about Slavery or people becoming angry, please if you are not looking to buy magic items just leave I already have a headache today."

"Greetings. You have a interesting shop here, Misha." take a obvious glance around when saying this, subtly detecting evil. "Me and my friend have been looking up some disturbences in town. People becoming suddenly violent. You don't happen to know what I am talking about, do you? I'm sure someone who owns a shop as popular as yours has heard and seen many things." she raises her eyebrow as she approches the counter, letting her golden hair flicker about a bit.

"Seen interesting things, heard interesting things? hum yes, nothing as interesting as what you are looking for I am sure. I have many interesting magic items come through these doors as well as interesting stories that the people buying and selling the magic items tell me. but most of what I hear is about dungeons and crypts full of goblins and kobolds. Please expound upon exactly what it is you are looking for hum?"

The woman seems to ponder Edan's offer for a moment.

"No" She says at last "I know not who you are unless I take your word at face value, and I have been making it home just fine the entire time I have lived here. How about you come back tomorrow when my store is open again and you can ask me all the questions you want then as long as you don't scare off the customers. In the mean time I would suggest that you try and find out at least a little more about why you are here or else people of the town will be telling you about everything from the flat bread they baked this morning with a likeness of Iomedae on it to the fish they caught that offered them a wish, HA!"

and with that she turns and begins to walk into the crowd.

Edan's Diplomacy 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

"Odd? what do you mean by odd? People changing colors? Sharks flying through the sky? Speak up boy, be more specific."

she says as she finishes locking the door and turns towards you.

Yes? Yes?? What is it you want, can't you see that I am closing?
