"Hmmm. No, that would be a silly place to hide it. He'd never hide that there." Milomir pokes his head under the bed. "Oh hey, found his Fornax stash." Checking the bathroom, Milomir continues his search. "Come on, it has got to be around here somewhere..." He opens the supply closet, and starts shuffling through it. "Aha! That's really clever." Milomir triumphantly presents the OSD to Sergeant Alatil. "Found it, boss. It was disguised as a bar of soap."

"Don't worry, Sergeant. I'll find that drive. Even if it takes me all day." Milomir mutters darkly. He begins methodically searching the apartment, paying little attention to the others. Taking 20, no matter how long it takes.

Milomir dodges emergency personnel, darting towards the stairs. The elevator would take too long, and he knows that the crime scene is likely secured already. Taking the stairs two at a time, he quickly arrives at the correct floor. Looking around, he sweeps up the hall to the apartment, and knocks on the door frame. Seeing his coworkers, he enters. "Sergeant Alatil. How may I be of assistance?" His eyes rove around the apartment. Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

"Why couldn't we let the V.I. drive?" Milomir complains, gripping Varnoc's headrest in front of him. "Actually, I changed my mind. I want to walk. Please?!" Milomir's voice cracks as they swerve around an oncoming aircar. "I didn't sign up for this..." Milomir laments under his breath.

"My talents, you say?" Milomir perks up, grateful of any distraction that will take him away from this bar. "We'll head over right away, Sergeant." Milomir's Omnitool lights up as he flags down a cab for himself and the other two officers.

Bar: Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 Milomir looks around once again, and sighs. ”I had evening plans with Sam. I guess I’ll have to cancel. Drat, I signed up for the morning shift for nothing. Typical.” Milomir notices his companions’ reluctance and steps up to the task. ”Since you two seem not to want to investigate the gamblers, why don’t you go get Sergeant Alatil. I’ll take a couple scans of the gambler’s nook. I’ll wait for the Sergeant to ask questions, as that’s not my purview.” Milomir walks over to the gamblers and flips open his Omnitool. ”Good morning, gentlebeings. I’m Detective Parangosky, and I am here on follow-up for an ongoing C-Sec investigation. Don’t mind me.” With the requisite bureaucratic rigmarole verbally out of the way, Milomir begins his scans. He scans terminals, examines for tampering (Both physical and digital), and discreetly listens in on their conversation.
Lol, weirdest roll set ever. That's pretty funny.

Milomir pulls open his omnitool, and brings up a copy of C-Sec’s Big Book of Rules. This isn’t actually the file’s proper name, buta result of Milomir’s creative editing. ”Let’s see here: Section 23 B Subsection 4 Clause 123 A states that propositioning an officer for funds to engage in any deviant addiction (See Appendix 4 Section 2 Entry “Detrimental Addictions” for details.) will be met with a fine of 500 Credits per officer per offence. This is of course in addition to the fines for attempting to coerce an officer to abuse his position, and propositioning officers for red sand.” Milomir pauses thoughtfully. ”Actually propositioning an officer for red sand is only a 50 credit offence. I’m not sure why they bothered.” With a shrug, Milomir opens another program on his omnitool. I’m not sure what kind of skill it would take to scan Zulli for drugs in his system, so I’m just going to run them all. Feel free to tell me which one you want to use. I know his knowledge of life sciences will factor in, as well as his ability to use his omnitool, but this also counts as looking for something, which is covered by perception. So you can see how I'm a bit confused about things. Also, the second Perception check is Milomir’s general paranoia. Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 Knowledge (Life Sciences): 28 = 28 Use Computer: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32 I really hope you take the Use Computer. That's an incredible roll. Shame about the perception.

”Tracing connection...”
Milomir shakes his head with a sigh. "I'm not getting anything yet, Sergeant. Want me to stick around for a more in-depth look?" Please say yes. Please say yes. This is a Computer Engineer's wet dream here, digging around in Avina's coding. Sam's going to be so jealous. Can I take twenty? Wait, can I even retry? I hope so. Those were pretty mediocre rolls.

”What a damn mess.” Heh. Understatement of the year. I haven’t seen a mess this big since ’77. Milomir glances up from his investigations at the arrival of the others. Strange, it looks like he got sucked into a memory again. He didn’t even notice the Sergeant arrive, let alone that crazy Krogan and his buddy. With that pair it’s hard to tell who watches who. ”Morning, Sarge!” Milomir chirrups happily, the coffee finally kicking into his system. Serona nods curtly, gesturing for him to get on with it. Milomir smiles politely and opens his omnitool, showing his findings.

Could if get a forensics result for a 28? I think I'll take twenty because I don't want to pull random jargon out of thin air. What does Milomir know? You can just PM me the results, I'll get back to you ASAP. |
