It's been a full year since I was kicked out of my long time gaming group. Gaming counts for most of the best parts of my life, friends were made, adventures had, and life has been richer because of it. I'm grateful.

Things change however, and after nearly 10 years at the game table, the social dynamic among those I played became quite different from when I had started.

There was a period of time were I felt I was no longer fitting in at the table. I tried to convince myself it was just insecurity as these people had been friends for years, and I still enjoyed the chance to get out of the house for a couple hours a week. Sadly though, my instinct was right, and I should have left some time earlier to avoid embarrassment.

At the start of a late summer game session, one of the guys in the group. Someone I really admired and respect, gave me the talk. Some of you may know this feeling when you are fired from a job. It was just like that, only rather than a job, it was friendship. I didn't have whatever qualities were needed to fit in, and they wanted me gone.
It was an "Et tu, Brutus" moment for sure, and it honestly felt like someone had stuck a physical knife into my heart.

Things haven't been all bad as a result. The free time has allowed for me to focus on college, and I have stellar grades as a result, but there are times I still miss those nights.

The Market Basket grocery chain has been a vital part of my community for many decades. A chain store that is stuck in the past, the owners have old fashioned values and I've admired them for this at a time when big business is very concerned with the bottom line.

Workers enjoyed decade spanning careers at Market Basket, jobs that pay a fair wage because Arthur T. Demoulas cares about the communities his stores thrive in.

Today I read the local paper to see the headline that residents are protesting in the streets. It may seem strange to some readers, but people are protesting for a corporation! The CEO, Mr. Arthur T. Demoulas, is battling a ousting attempt by board members who wish to turn his vision of Market Basket into a different type a store, one that cares very much about quarterly profits and the cost of human labor.

There will be a meeting on Thursday, July 18th to decide Arthur's removal. If you have read this and are thinking, this is bad for the companies 22,000 employees, there is a place you can go to sign a petition at Save Market Basket

I would like my Oracle to use a Stave of Healing as a melee weapon. Is this possible? If so, can it be further enchanted with other modifiers?

At some point during book four, the party was sent to Taldor to establish trade relations with a major regional nation. While there, they were tasked with designing warships.

The rivers large enough to handle shipping were beginning to see use by the PC's kingdom and the group wished to protect those interest. Also, they wished to have ocean going vessels based out of Taldor.

A plan was hatched to commission a new single decked warship that could hold half the normal crew, but still navigate the shallow rivers. These had to be built to specifications. While the PC's waited, they looked for means to arm their warship and managed to learn about Cannons.

One of the PC's is full level caster. The Baron, requested for his new new warship to be enchanted for flight and Invisibility.

So, a flying warship with cannon and cloaking. How much trouble am I in with this?

I understand that some would point out that the Crossbowman is a trap build. With that out of the way, I have a level 6 Crossbowman and it's been doing well.

My character is level 6, I would like advice on opportunity cost for feats leading up to level 11, give or take.

Thus Far I have:

Rapid Reload
Rapid Shot
Point Blank Shot
Precise Shot
Crossbow Mastery
weapon focus Heavy Crossbow
Weapon Spec Heavy Crossbow
Vital Strike

I have two build paths that look attractive to me.

The first focuses on imposing status ailments.

Build 1

7 Iron Will
8 Improved Critical
9 Impact Critical Shot (nice!)
10 Critical Focus
11 Critical Bleeding

The second is more damage oriented.

7 deadly aim +6 damage
8 improved critical
9 devastating strike +4 damage
10 weapon focus greater
11 critical bleeding

There are so many feats to choose from, it's a little bewildering.

Thanks!

My Rogue needs some level of optimization to run with the other PC's; they are brutally powerful and leaving me in the dust with kill counts.

Characters are currently at level 3 and I expect the game to run to 16th Level? It's Serpent's Skull for anyone familiar. (No spoilers, please)

I'll be leveling as a Rogue/Scout & Duelist at higher levels. My build is as follows, Please Critique.

STR12,DEX16,CON14,INT13,WIS10,CHR10
Traits: Killer,Crew Member (Grants Survival as Class Skill)
Rogue Talent: Combat Trick, Dodge
Feats:Weapon Focus Rapier, Weapon Finesse, Toughness

I plan to add,

Feats: Mobility, Combat Expertise, Vital Strike, Improved Disarm
Rogue Talents: Befuddling Strike, Bleeding Attack, Fast Stealth

Suggestions to make this stronger or better rounded at least into the Teens would be welcome.

Thanks!

This build is intended to provide utility beyond just tanking. Please provide thoughts for feat selection beyond fifth level. Equipment suggestions are also welcome. This is to be core only.
