Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha chuckles quietly at the two lovebirds before excusing herself to go to her room. She casts Cure Moderate Wounds on herself to fix up the damage that Alistair's spell covered temporarily.

loot:
Alrighty then. Well since no one else said anything on the topic. Discounting the dagger, the cure light wounds potion, the matched rings, and the acid fire flasks each persons share of the loot (sold at 75% as per the DM's word):
39 PP
5 GP
5 SP
5 CP
That's with the general value of the dragonshards as if it were in gold versus shards.

Female Halfling Druid/2

OK, I'm working out the loot so is there anything else that anyone wants to keep? Do you want to exchange the dragonshards for gold or keep them as dragonshards?

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha chuckles, "Yes, well I certainly wouldn't want that." Smiling fondly as her wolverine makes short work of the jerky, Micha says, "My thanks. Her appetite can be a bit hard to keep up with in town."

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha stands in the hall a moment longer chewing on her lip. She doubts Poppy has spent enough time around either of them to sniff them out on command. She turns on her heel and makes her way back to the table with the others and speaks to Larra, "My apologies, but I'm not certain which rooms they are occupying and I don't dare knock on random doors. Perhaps in the morning, before we leave?"

Female Halfling Druid/2

Seems like the majority agree with Alistair. I think that the cure light wounds potion, the acidic fire flasks, and the paired rings should be kept within the group.

Female Halfling Druid/2

Wellllll... Alistair wants to have any item kept not counted against an individuals share of the loot since it potentially benefits the group. I personally think that it should count against their share of the loot. No one else has weighed in on that topic so we kinda need to come to a decision on how it's going to be handled.

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha will walk quietly down the hall, listening intently in hopes of hearing a voice she recognizes. She'll stop before the hall splits away, and look down either side.

Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Female Halfling Druid/2

"Very well, thank you anyway." Micha turns from the dwarf and heads down the stairs she saw Aubrek use, Poppy at her heals.

Female Halfling Druid/2

Page, singular and it's not my fault if the DM can't keep up with multiple conversations :P

Micha smiles pleasantly and glances to Alistair before speaking, "He's just retired, perhaps it is best if I fetch him for you instead of intruding into his personal space with strangers."

Micha steps away and approaches the bar, "Pardon me, could you please tell me which room belongs to the man who has paid for our rooms? There is someone out here who wishes to speak with him."

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha was still talking with the half-orc woman, having offered to introduce her to Aubreck...

Female Halfling Druid/2

Oh, I'm enjoying it! Sucks we lost a player already, though, but that's the way it goes. I'm excited to get going and see how the quest is going to go. We need to all voice how we want to handle the loot and get that settled, though.

Female Halfling Druid/2

I don't really have any opinions yet because I'm waiting to see complete submissions.

Female Halfling Druid/2

loot:
So, everyone, are we tallying up the sell values of everything to split evenly? Deducting the value of any claimed items from that persons share?

Female Halfling Druid/2

I think that we should replace him.

Female Halfling Druid/2

Using Detect Magic over the loot, what appears to have a magical aura?

Female Halfling Druid/2

Less messy to deal with it here, I think.

Female Halfling Druid/2

"I see. It's a pleasure to meet you, Larra. My name is Micha, and this is Poppy," She pauses, giving Alistair the chance to introduce himself should he be inclined. "I suppose I could introduce you to the man who has hired us, if you like? Perhaps you can negotiate something with him after all?"

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha finds herself returning Alistair's smile despite herself. She still isn't quite sure what to make of the man who would use necromancy. "Very well."

Micha approaches the table that the half-orc woman is seated, and keeping the table between herself and the woman she speaks to her saying, "Pardon the intrusion, but I could not help but to notice that you seemed to have taken an interest in my group. Is there perhaps something I can help you with?"

Female Halfling Druid/2

"Indeed, that was my plan. With Poppy at my side, of course. I thought it only wise to bring her to the attention of all of you first, however, in case she was in fact someone one of you knew?"

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha walks back to the group when she sees Aubreck rise. Moving so that her back is to the half-orc woman she assures Aubreck that she will aid him however she can before quietly asking all present, "Have any of you reason to suspect that you might be being followed by the woman behind me. I have noticed that she is rather interested in our gathering, and perhaps myself. I do not know her, and have no reason to think that she would be here for me other than her eyes have followed me a few times more than could be simple coincidence."

Female Halfling Druid/2

After some time, Micha returns to the common room. She glances towards the others at their table before searching out the half-orc woman who had been so keen to watch Micha so closely.
Perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
Sense Motive 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Female Halfling Druid/2

In her room, Micha takes a deep breath to clear her mind. Securing the door, she disrobes to examine the extent of the damage. Deciding that if she is going to use the last of her healing spells on herself, she had best wait until this night is good and over. For now, she cleans the wounds the best she can, and reminds herself to get bandages and other healing supplies at first light before getting on any ship with these strange new people. She dresses herself again and examines her armor, before deciding it's probably best to put it back on for now.

Heal check if the DM decides it's needed 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha's eyes grow cold as she places her palms flat on the table before speaking with a quiet, measured calmness to Avicia. "I was raised by my country to disdain all people from Thrane. I had so hoped that on chance you might give me evidence to support my personal belief that a person should not be detested simply because of where they hail from, nor the blood that their body is filled with. It would appear that you will not be the one to provide me with that evidence. I should hope, at least, that although you are so clearly filled with a darkness that I do detest, you would at least have the common courtesy to not threaten and intimidate a noble man who has come to us with a need. A man who has acted with apparent honesty, and offered recompense for your time. I regret that I was wrong."

To Aubreck, "If you will excuse me, sir, I shall be in my room tending to my wounds should you have need of me. I wish not to hear anymore of this sort of talk. I shall rejoin you shortly."

Diplomacy 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Micha calls to Poppy, and with one last glance towards the half-orc woman across the room she makes her way to the room assigned to her.

Female Halfling Druid/2

Feel better soon, Alistair.

Female Halfling Druid/2

I don't wish to claim anything until we know exactly what it all is.

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha slides from her chair before anyone can holler across the room, "I'll go ask him to rejoin us." She makes her way to Aubreck and motions towards the table, "Please, won't you rejoin us? My apologies, I do believe that there are more questions they should like to have answered."

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha scratches absently at her collar. "Well, if the ship is obtainable, I have no issue in helping you in your acquisition. However, I do not feel that it should be our primary goal, Avicia. We are yet to know what we truly face once we board the ship, and we may find that it isn't worth the risk to our lives."

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha's face grows still and she becomes even more quiet than usual.

Female Halfling Druid/2

Fever free, at last.

Female Halfling Druid/2

"Do you sail, Avicia? I've spent time on a ship, more than once, but I can't say that I have ever picked up any of the skill involved."

Female Halfling Druid/2

"I suggest determining the value of everything first, and what magical properties anything might hold. After everyone claims what they want, we deduct that worth from their share. Sell the rest and divide it up as evenly as possible." Micha shifts around in her chair uncomfortably, and glances at the half-orc woman across the room.

She then looks to Aubrek, "Shall we discuss the matter at hand. I do not wish to rush you, but I should like to better tend to my wounds in the privacy of my room."

Female Halfling Druid/2

DM pointed out I must cast Detect Magic before using Spellcraft. Incidentally, our host has ordered to "Detections" in the common room, so alas, Micha would have offered to examine the loot in her private quarters where she can cast Detect Magic.

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha will take a look at the items with dragonshards to attempt to ascertain their magical properties.

Spellcraft on 1st ring 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Spellcraft on 2nd ring 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Spellcraft on Compass 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Female Halfling Druid/2

I've got the plague or something. I'll try to check in again today, but please DMPC me as needed.

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha can haunt your characters as easily as Silian can mine. ;)

Female Halfling Druid/2

Of course not :P

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha smiles sweetly at Aubreck, "It is of no concern, Poppy does adore shiny things, but she somehow manages to come across her own bobbles to fascinate herself with."

"I should like to get inside quickly, I don't believe the aid Alistar provided me with will last very long."

Female Halfling Druid/2

Poppy moves towards the Dwarf (B3) and lunges, snarling at the man.

Bite 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
Damage 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Micha moves past Alistar to the place that Poppy previously occupied next to Dharattaka. She reaches out to place her hand on Avicia's arm, casting Bull's Strength.

The subject becomes stronger. The spell grants a +4 enhancement bonus to Strength, adding the usual benefits to melee attack rolls, melee damage rolls, and other uses of the Strength modifier.

Lasts 1 min/level, so 2 minutes.

Female Halfling Druid/2

Poppy continues her relentless assault on the orc, determined to draw blood from the one who would strike out at Micha.

Claw 1 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Damage 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Claw 2 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Damage 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Micha draws her dagger and throws it spinning through the air at the orc.
Masterwork Dagger Thrown 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Damage 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Crit confrim 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Damage 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

I'd just like to say F the dice in this campaign.

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha's eyes widen as the man touches her and the energy of his spell courses through her, but she manages to mumble a "Thank you, sir."

Spellcraft to identify the spell being cast: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

Female Halfling Druid/2

Poppy snarls and snaps her strong jaws at the orc again.
Bite1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Damage1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Poppy's HP 20/22

Micha moves away from the orc, 5-foot step to C6 tugging open the laces on her tunic, she slides her hand inside and rests it on her chest. She closes her eyes in concentration, mumbling under her breath she invokes her birthright, using it to heal herself.
Using her Least Dragonmark ability to cast Cure Light wounds. 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Micha's HP 7/13

Female Halfling Druid/2

I'm headed to a birthday party, been gone all day. I will post when I get home tonight, or if you'd rather, the DM can NPC Poppy and Micha.

What he really means is that he's jealous.

Female Halfling Druid/2

I had a relaxing weekend. Nothing special, but plenty of much needed downtime and R&R.

Female Halfling Druid/2

Shouldn't Micha's initiative now come after Poppy?

Female Halfling Druid/2

Poppy, flies into a rage and rushes over (C4) to defend Micha, hissing and snarling the whole way.

Bite attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Damage 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Micha takes the opportunity provided by Poppy's distraction to cast Cure Light Wounds on herself.
Cure Light Wounds 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
HP 7/13

Female Halfling Druid/2

I personally do NOT like the idea of having two sets of initiative. In video games that do things that way I always get pissed off when the enemies all get to go and some of my people get killed off but there's nothing I can do to try to prevent it or resurrect them until all of the enemies have gone. At which point, if the enemy is strong enough, I have to choose to either resurrect that round or heal whoever is left standing, either way that whole round ends up with little combat and a lot of healing. I know that this isn't a videogame, obviously, but I can see very similar things happening.

I don't care if we go with Illyri's suggestion or not. As the DM said, there are pros and cons to both. I think there is a middle ground between those two, where players can take actions whenever when their actions would have no affect on the initiative order. Such as, readying actions, using items, drawing weapons etc.

Female Halfling Druid/2

Micha readies Cure Light Wounds but holds her action until after Poppy has moved in to engage the orc and defend Micha.
