Pleased at the find Melani relates I think it was worship, thought I do not understand the bones. Few are foolish enough to dare an archdevil in anything but worship, though worship of Mephistopheles is rare. She surveys the scene more closely, casting Detect Magic as she looks about and closely inspecting the circle, looking for accuracy and possible flaws. As you may or may not know, my lord Asmodeus created the great Mephistopheles to serve him from the essence of Caina itself. As hell is a lawful place there is a proper hierarchy and respect for all ranking devils. I pay homage to all the archdevils and if someone saw fit to worship Mephistopheles here, I am pleased.

We already need our rogue and I suspect some element we will end up fighting is holed up at the manor. Bad idea to split up. So now I think the only choice is to go back, collect the party and try again, maybe today, or likely tomorrow. Grr. I dislike inefficiency.

Unhappy that the release of evil did not harm the plant Melani casts a Bless spell to help her allies hit. Its just a plant and not some divine guardian. she hisses.
I think Melani had some channels left to help at the end of the day yesterday. She gets 6/day.
Unsure is she can safely reach her friend Melani chooses to release some of the energy channeled from her deity that should both heal Ahreni and harm the plant. Touching the holy symbol a her neck she yields to the pressure that is always there and some of the essence of hell is released.

I was traveling until last night. I always hope to have both time to post and good internet when on the road but I had neither. I was visiting my father's sister and her husband, both 86 years old. They have recently moved themselves into a retirement community where they can access different levels of care as they need it. Very smart if you ask me. And the center even allowed me to rent a room there for the weekend at a very good rate since my aunt and uncle's small house is not set up for visitors. But Internet was not high on their priority list so I had to do without.

I'd like a grand place worthy of my lord and I'd like it to be ready to move into, or nearly so. That means an existing structure. These two places are not at all far from the walls but being outside the walls might allow worshipers worried about what their neighbors think to come more freely. Explaining her rational further the cleric adds And I suspect that there are dens dedicated to our enemy close by. This could be one of those locations. And even if not there may be items of worth inside for the taking.

Responding to Cael and Pava Melani beams Both of you make me quite happy. It is my strongest desire to get this church under way. I have been investigating our options further and this is what I have found. In general the local population will at least tolerate my church here and pay lip service to the idea of joining but I have heard there are a few close minded Iomedaeans who made it clear that such "blasphemous" temple would not be tolerated. How can they expect to be allowed to worship as they wish when they are willing to deny others that same right? A righteous fury burns in her eyes. As for locations, if we build from scratch there are a couple good spots inside the town. And this would be my long term preference, but we will need something quicker to meet the immediate need you mention. There are empty buildings in the town but none worthy of my lord. She pauses to consider. That leaves the outskirts of town. I have heard of an old and abandoned lodge of Erastil to the southwest (area 15 on the map). It would please me to rededicate that place to Asmodeus. There is also the abandoned luxurious mayor's house (area 13 on the map). We could explore both. before making our decision. Melani spends some time looking about town and asking about a general reaction to opening a small church to Asmodeans in the town. She tries to get a good idea for where might be best and if there will be a strong reaction to its founding. She spends time in two different areas before rejoining with the others.

I would really hate to see you drop. You have added a lot to the game in my view. I think you have done great with your posts and really brought Anarxos to life. I find myself struggling with this AP myself. I like all the characters but I find myself behind all the time and trying to figure out who is where and what the goals are. Maybe too sandboxy for me. And when I have an idea it always seems the game has passed beyond that point. I really am trying. Could use some help...
Melani concurs with the idea to send the Hobgoblin after Janiss. It would be convenient if she were apprehended and made to confess openly so that it clearly showed her guild and her bosses complacency at the least. The offer of payment will have to be enough to entice our hobgoblin friend to come back to town after overtaking the woman and her child. Perhaps this kind of work will interest him. Thinking about all that needs to be done she adds We need to check back with the good doctor to see about her decision. Is that today or do I have my days off? I also I have an, well an errand that I need to see to soon that will see me away for most of a day. I guess I could use some help with this errand even though its of a personal nature.

Hey. I am here. I have been traveling for work and just got back last night. I always think I'll have more time when on the road but it seems to never works out like that. With driving time, still working 8+ hours and then social obligation in the evening with customers and management I had a hard time getting 8 hours sleep even. Anyway, sorry for my absence. All, I will be traveling this weekend to help my daughter move into the house she just bought. I leave tonight and her new house is without internet until next Monday so my posting chance will be slim. I return Sunday night. And on being Lawful - as a Fiendish Vessel I would like to play Melani as the Devil level of LE as a goal. Your recommendations on how to achieve that is welcome. :)

I was about to suggest a confiscation of the disputed goods and a week in the pillory. You shall at least tell me what these goods are.
