![]() All: With the campaign having not quite started, and assuming that Sir Awesomesauce McSnazzlepants is going to fill the arcane slot. I am considering switching from Swashbuckler to the Rogue(unchained). Really, what this does is to add a few skills points, drops my BAB by one, and gives us Trapfinding, which I do not think anyone has. In the long run, I will probably take 1-2 more levels of rogue at some point, but will pretty much stick with the Oracle as my primary class. Let me know what people think. I do not have to do it, but the rogue(unchained) effectively gives the same weapon finesse as the swashbuckler, and changes the flavor a bit which I think fits with the character. ![]()

![]() The Water Ghost stepped onto the shore, just past the end of the beach to the west of Port Shaw. It was still a good thirty minuted before the sun would rise. As she had done many times before, Meherio carefully wrapped her hair in a long scarf. She did not really care, but her bluish hair always stood out, and she saw no reason to advertise her unusual circumstances. She waited until just before the sun rose, and then began to make her way along the beach. It was a good hour before she made it to the western shoreline guard post. There, she spoke with the guard as she had many times before. After paying the toll, and a few additional silver to keep the guards on her good side, Meherio proceeded toward the main market in the Tide District to sell the items she had "collected" along the shoreline. Meherio thought back: Not long ago, it was along the shoreline that I collected these items. Now, it was so much easier to simply sneak aboard a ship anchored well out in the water. The crews never watched to approach from the ocean side of the ship, so most starless nights made easy plundering. Mohair never took valuable items. Simply enough to support her, and eventually to help her gain her revenge. In the market square, she reached into her magical sack and pulled out a large brightly colored blanket which showed a scene of invaders ransacking and plundering the Tulita. She hated the blanket, but it gained her some favor of the locals, and since it did not harm her, the ability to make a few extra gold never hurt. Once the blanket was spread across the booth, she began to pull out the wares she hoped to sell. Several bottles of fine wine from the mainland, a bottle of aged scotch, several rings and necklaces, and many different pieces of coral and shells, each different and beautiful in its own right. The coral and shells rarely fetched much, but simply having them there tended to dissuade further investigation into the other higher quality goods she sold. As the first customers began to appear in the market, she smiled and stood up, and the many other vendors did. It was going to be another warm day. Perhaps she would use magic to keep herself cool, it really all depended upon how the day's sales went. ![]()

![]() It does not really make much difference, it just keeps the IC thread cleaner. Obviously if you look at some of the older posts, many people did the usual dot technique, usually because people do not know that you can post & delete, and still keep the thread on your Campaign tab. ![]()

![]() Sir Awesomesauce McSnazzlepants, if you see this. Delete your dot. It is unnecessary. Once you dot, the system keeps record of you. Then, you can delete the initial post and avoid clogging the IC thread with dots. ![]()

![]() If it drives you nuts, go to the main Messageboard link at the top of the page. Once there, click on the "Focus" near the top right. Then, find the campaign you want to get rid of and click on the "⍉" on the far right. This will hide the campaign so that it will not show up any more. It will also make it disappear from the list at the bottom of your Campaign page when it actually goes inactive I believe. If you ever want to reactivate the campaign, click the "Show ⍉" link, find the hidden campaign, and then click on the link to unhide it (pretty sure you can unhide them, I do not have any hidden right now). You can use this technique to make any campaign disappear from your Campaign page. ![]()

![]() I am good either way. I like keeping my campaigns tab clean, but if Divintus thinks he will be able to get back on track, I am good waiting. Either way, I will be around when we get this going again. ![]()

![]() Hey, welcome back. Thanks for checking back in. I have had more than a few DMs, and players, simply disappear. Glad you are ok, relatively speaking. If it is going to take a few days to get things up and running, that is fine as long as we know you are around and rearing to go when you have mostly recovered. ![]()

![]() Yeh, it is too bad if it dies as I though we had an interesting group. We can give it some time. My biggest problem is if I do not use a character IC, I end up forgetting their personality, which makes the game a lot less interesting. Both Divintus and Sanguinus_Draconis have not posted in a week and I am pretty sure they are RL friends. We will just have to wait and see. If it is the internet, I would have hoped that one of them would have posted with their phone to at least let people know what was going on. Divintus has this campaign, and Sanguinus has two that are in the infant stages. ![]()

![]() Meherio will be in the Silk District. Her home, if it can be called that, is in a small rocky protrusion which only sticks about 10-20 feet out of the water a half-mile from the shore. She has gone to the Silk District to shop, and also to start finding out about ways to start a revolt amongst the more artistic minded, who also tend to be the more independent and willing to see change happen. ![]()

![]() Was there supposed to be query in the OOC other than asking if we are around? I don't see one, although I might have accidentally taken the dual cursed and have permanent clouded vision. Regarding being around, I occasionally don't know where I am. Fortunately, since I never know where I am going, it is impossible to get lost. ![]()

![]() I hope not as I liked my character. Unfortunately, the DM has been a little slow. My understanding is that school is delaying him. It is still a concern with long delays this early in the process. ![]()

![]() Meherio raises her hands. A small pea sized ball of flame shoots forth and strikes the gnome, turning her into a charbroil. See how easy that was. Problem solved, no more short person curse. Just ignore that I do not get fireball for another 2 levels (if I take the Fire Spirit). ![]()

![]() Hey all, welcome to the party. As an FYI - you can "dot" the gameplay thread, and then immediately delete your post. This has the effect of the campaign showing up on your Campaign tab, but does not clog up the thread with a bunch of "dots". |
