Mazer nods behind Luccinus, hoping his demeanor will help elicit the information they want.
Mazer has -1 to Diplomacy/Intimidate so was just hovering in the background.
Mazer is used to following orders and follows in without hesitation. He absent-mindedly traces a scar on his left knuckle, knowing that the Midnight Lord is there to protect him.
Mazer nods, "Where to next, my lady."
Mazer points at the note. "Proclamation. Ya better read it."
Mazer looks around, standing bodyguard, hoping people are intimidated by him. 'What's the worst that could happen here?'
Mazer does not answer the woman's questions, continuing to follow Cimri to the tavern. If the woman gets too close, Mazer will turn around to block her from getting close to Cimri.
Mazer looks around at the crowd while Cimri stands in front of the notice board. "Hrmph," he frowns and shakes his head.
"Step away from the Gate, miss.". Mazer sighs, walking up to the woman, trying to put a barrier between her and Crimi. "This gate is to be closed. No questions asked."
Mazer nods. "Let's go.". He silently follows the group out.
Should we try to recruit two more people in the mean time? I think we've lost two (Aramant and Dexter).

Unlike Masin, Mazer is slightly frustrated with the decree. Not being form Cheliax, the dwarf has no allegiance to House Thrune and doesn't like the restricted freedom. But he nods, through gritted teeth he manages to speak, "We will do as you say."

Mazar nods at Cimri. "Yeah, why would you want to spend any more time in this junk of a town? No offense." He mutters. "Well, if you don't need us any more, we'll be at the inn..."
Mazer opens his mouth to ask, "When..." he looks around cautiously. "do you think that will be?" As the others depart, Mazer realizes he's been neglecting one thing: his daily ritual and prayer to Zon-Kuthon. Watching Luccinus head off with some girls and Masin wander back to the inn, Mazer wanders off into the nearby forest. Finding a dark, shaded area, he sits down and closes his eyes. For the next few hours, he traces his scars with his fingers, carefully recounting each and every one of them. After some time, he heads back to the inn in quiet contemplation.
Mazer shudders at the thought of a revolution. "Thank you for your time." He bows as well. He has no further questions.
"So..." Mazer looks down as he speaks. "What do we do next?"
Mazer shakes his head in sorrow as Cimri nicks his idea. "Ah, well, that's fine. It's still an eyesore.". As they walk back to Razelago's office, Mazer scratches at his scars. Not much of a talker, he listens to Cimri and the others. Then they go meet the boss. Something about Razelago sends shivers down Mazer's spine. "Well, the Iomedaeans might want to start a crusade against Cheliax," Mazer blurts out.
Mazer shakes his head. 'Religious iconography is so ridiculous.'. Mazer joins with the others and watches Masin speak. "What now? I'm tempted to go into the temple and destroy that helmet. It's an eyesore and doesn't deserve to cross my eyes. The Midnight Lord would want its destruction."
Mazer rolls his eyes at the speech. "The Inheritor? Psshah!" He spits at the mere thought of the name. "Cheliax will never fall to Iomedae," he mutters to himself. But he moves forward with the crowd around the helmet, listening in to the conversation about the Glorious Reclamation and the 'Angel Knight.'

Mazer nods and starts to walk through the crowds. Absentmindedly, the dwarf grasps the handle of his spiked chain while saying a prayer to Zon-Kuthon under his breath.
Yeah - no worries! Take your time.
Mazer approaches Masin and Cimri, as well as the sheriff. He listens in to Masin's animated speech. Though not a Chelaxian, Mazer nods - his allegiance to the Uskwood (and to Zon-Kuthon) runs through his veins, nothing can stop that. Though he shrugs at the thought of being a mercenary. Deep down, Mazer knows he is. The dwarf waves as he approaches, but does not speak about what he found, especially in front of the sheriff. "How much longer do we have until the start?"
Mazer files in behind Luccinus. Sneaking behind him, the dwarf whispers, "What did you find out?". Mazer waits before responding. "The talk on the street is that Allamar has something very important to say. Fex hates large gatherings. So Allamar is risking something big." Mazer points out Cimri and Masin. "Perhaps we should join them."
Mazer: Mazer attempts to blend in with the crowd, something he's not used to. And apparently it works! He listens in to some of the local gossip. 'Ah, I don't care what the weather will be like tomorrow...'. He groans as he listens in and nearly gives up to join the others. But then, he hears something interesting. Mazer knows rulers like Fex - egotistical, power hungry, corrupt. So whatever Allamar will say must be important. Mazer wants to see what will happen. He hangs back, hoping to hear any more gossip. If nothing more comes of it, Mazer will join in with Luccinus.
() Mazer loafs about, sneaking in the dark alley the Cimri suggested. He listens in for anything important the locals are saying.
When the shadowy figure talks to Mazer about not knowing who Fex is, Mazer just shrugs. "Not from around here." But he puts on the sash and tugs it. 'A bit ugly. Colors clash,' he thinks, but tries to mimic the others. "Ready for action."
"Who is this 'Archbaron Fex'?" Mazer eyes the sashes. He dons it and tries to put on his best smile... which isn't all that pleasant. Then he scoffs at the mention of Iomedae. "She thinks she's so high and mighty.". He'd rather not get into a theological debate at the moment and says a quiet prayer to the Midnight Lord while rubbing a scar on his wrist. He nods as Masin asks what they are to do. "Are we to stir up trouble? Murder this Allamar? Or just sit back and watch?"

Mazer looks frazzled, more frazzled than normal. He groans before laying back down, eyes open. But that doesn't last long. He gets up, combs his beard and his hair, and dons his clothing. Hoping to find a secluded space, he says a quick prayer to Zon-Kuthon, rubbing his scars. "May you guide me in my actions today." Eventually he meets with Jarithe with a nod.
"I don't mind it here.". Mazer looks around at the shabby establishment. He was uncomfortable in town as people were staring at him and he's not used to such chaoticness that comes with any settlement. "It's peaceful. I can hear myself think." He sits down and pulls out a mattress. "Tell me a story Masin."
Mazer rubs a scar on his wrist, feeling the throbbing pain within. "A toast. To new friends. To a new crew," he holds up his glass nervously and quietly. After the toast, Mazer will move a chair or similar object away from everyone. With a flick of his wrist, he'll test out his new spiked chain. "The Midnight Prince would be proud" he mumbles as he hits the chair from afar.
Mazer bows to Cimri after Luccinus toasts. "Our pleasure working with you. I hope we work together again, soon.". He slowly slips his wine, not used to drinking it. Though he ignores the boar's meat, the druid does take a small portion of the fish and bread. The albino doesn't speak much, mainly watching the others and idly touching his new masterwork spiked chain. 'The Midnight Lord has blessed me with such a weapon,' he thinks. 'He must be planning something for us. Need to not let my guard down.' With his cold, red eyes, he realizes he's staring at Aramant. 'Quiet man, he is.' "What's next?" He asks Luccinus after some time. "I feel like this is not the last time we see each other."
Mazar moves up to Luccinus and grabs his arm. "We need to go.". The dwarf feels uncomfortable staying any longer. "Let's ask questions later."
No more questions from Mazer.

Mazer bows. "Pleasure doing business with you. I hope to work with you again soon.". He looks around the room curiously before turning and following Masin out. He has questions, but it seemed like the inappropriate time to bring them up.
Mazer's hand releases from his spiked chain and he relaxes as he realizes Cimri is sincere. "Lead the way Cimri."
Mazer whispers to Masin. "I have a feeling that Cimri is leading us in to a trap. The hairs on the back of my neck are itching. Which means bad news ahead."
"I hope it's nothing.". He walks up the stairs and follows her. But he holds on to his spiked chain in one hand, just in case.
Mazer groans as he follows Luccinus and Cirmi through the window. "What a lovely place you have here Cirmi" he'll say sarcastically. He'll put a hand through the window to help his less... travelled companions through.
As they walk back to town, Mazer replies. "The Midnight Lord watches over me." He motions to the various scars over his body. "I grew up in the Uskwood, north of here. Nidal. Learned how to live off the land and how to live in the shadows.". He's reluctant to give any more information about himself. Most of the journey back, he's quiet, listening to his companions talk.
Mazer gives Masin a firm handshake. "Nice job on finding the lockbox. What other talents do you have up your sleeve?". Mazer is trying to act nice, but really just sizing up his companions - seeing their strengths and weaknesses.
