You people are monsters. I am in awe of your gaming fortitude. I think I may have to start uping my expectations for weekend gaming.

If you're dead set on Red Hand of Doom, the other suggestion I have is to cut the last chapter of it. Essentially, the adventure has the PC's fight an army.

I think we may have a winner unless anyone else has some brilliant nugget of adventuring goodness. Also we do run marathon sessions ranging from 4-6 hours on average, hurray youth! Thanks for all your useful advice guys.

Hey folks, I've got an old friend coming into town for three weeks and he's dying to get some serious RPG time in. I want to run him a mini-campaign over about 6-7 sessions and was wondering what adventures/adventure path I could piece together/cut down to give the maximum memorable role playing experience, preferably with a solid conclusion on the last session. I've got access to just about every Dungeon magazine along with Castle Ravenloft and Red Hand O' Doom (neither of which I have run as of yet). Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Hey guys, just started running the Age of Worms last week, so far so good, but I'm worried about whether they can handle the meat-grinder that is TfoE. They had a lot of trouble with the traps in the WC due to there lack of rouge. I don't like killing P.C.s due to how much time and effort my players put into them but I will kill a character if they do something really dumb. I just wanted your opinion (which I hold in the highest of regard) on whether or not they can survive the AOW AP.

Human Fighter 2 (Archer through and through, down to earth town watchman)
Human Archivist 2 (Support Caster/Knowledge tank...they know everything)
Human Sorcerer 1/Cleric 1 (Crazy infernal heritage, misunderstood, CG demon worshiper...my favorite character right now)
Human Samurai 2 (Very seven samurai old school ronin)

Thanks

Name: Abel Ichabod, Human
Class: Swashbuckler 4
Session: Pre-Sea Wyvern, Side Quest
Catalyst: Ogre Warlord+Amazing Rolls

The PC's had recently taken on the quest of retriving a rare tome from the temple of Chekital (Old Olman Temple), sadly some ogre/orc cultists had taken up residence in the top floor. Barely making it past the rest of the floor they finally came upon the ogre warlord and his shaman. They fared well for the first two rounds, sadly Abel met his end when a 18 and 19 were rolled by myself. Also the maximum damage and an already injured Abel ended his life at a whopping negative 26 hitpoints.

We had our first session last weekend in which the PC's blew through The Blue Nixie (That poor Rhagodessa, sniffle). Anywho here’s what I'm working with:

Marin Black, Monk 2: Severe alcoholic, comic relief, plans on becoming a drunken master. Has drastic mood swings at the wrong moments.

Scylix, Dread Necromancer 2: A local mystery man whom arrived on a large galley that drifted into the port. He was found clutching his scythe in the brig, half-dead.

Odeon, Druid (Aquatic) 2: One of last remaining sea wardens. Lives in a run down shack on the beach. Has several "deformities" from spending too much time in the water. Cool animal companion backstory, he wrestled his shark into submission and tore out its largest tooth and made it into a dagger. The shark, Hendrix, has served him ever since.

Abel Ichabod, Aristocrat (with a few added class features) 2: A young page of house Lidu. Born an orphan on the streets he has developed into a very Great Expectations-esque character taken in by the wealthy.

Don Julio Rodrigo, Fighter 2: Ex-mercenary taking on more "noble” freelance work. A clever warrior relying more on wit then strength. Very conquistador apperance with a dash of classic swashbuckler.
